The neutron and gamma irradiation influence on wireless sensor nodes was studied. Communication reliability, microprocessor circulation speed, data store correctness of EEPROM, and the precise of sensor had been considered to be most important factors during irradiation influence test. Comparing with RSSI and BER, Packet loss rate had been proved to be more efficient communication reliability parameter. The microprocessor circulation speed test use floating-point circulation time arithmetic(FLOPS), data store correctness of memory test use the way that check equation numbers of the write and then read data in same cell. Finally, the data refresh method under LABVIEW was presented.

In traditional tissue P systems, each rule has a precise same execution time. That way of using the rules is not quite realistic from a biological point of view, because external conditions always change in an unpredicted manner. In this study, we investigate the use of time in tissue P systems. The timed tissue P systems is constructed by adding a time mapping to the rules to specify the execution time for each rule. Furthermore, a uniform and time-free solution to 3-coloring problem is proposed, where the execution time of the computational processes involved can vary arbitrarily and the output produced is always the same.

A wireless sensor network(WSN) system can offer tremendous benefits to equipment condition monitoring in newly-built and/or refurbished nuclear power plants(NPPs). However, it has not been widely accepted so far because of the following requirements by the NPP operators i) electromagnetic(EM) emissions from the wireless transceivers must not interfere with the functionalities of the sensitive safety and protection systems in the plant, ii) a WSN must perform reliably in the presence of high levels of EM interference from devices such as relays and motor driven pumps, and ionizing radiation sources, iii) dependable WSN performance in harsh industrial environments that are cluttered with cable trays, piping, valves, pumps, motors, and concrete and steel structures, and iv) strict compliance with the nuclear regulatory guideline on EM emissions by the wireless devices. This paper will address the key issues associated with the deployment of WSN for equipment condition monitoring in NPPs. Some promising WSN technologies that can be used in NPP applications are also discussed.

An innovative design based on wireless communication for synchronized phasor measurement in distribution networks is proposed in this paper under the discussion of inapplicability for distribution grids of phasor measurement techniques in transmission networks. First, the needs of real-time monitoring for distribution networks and the unique features and requirements of the measurement system are introduced. Then, the design and hardware realization of measuring device is presented, with the emphasis on how the remote clock synchronization is implemented. Furthermore, experiments are carried out to verify the validity of such design and the test results show that the accuracy of the wireless-based measurement scheme can meet the requirements for synchronized phasor measurement in distribution networks.

We consider security issues in Cyber-Physical Systems (CPSs). A sensor node communicates with a remote estimator through a wireless channel which may be jammed by an external attacker. With energy constraints for both the sensor and the attacker, the interactive decision making process of when to send and when to attack is studied. We formulate a game-theoretical framework and prove that the optimal strategies for both sides constitute a Nash equilibrium. The derivation of the optimal strategies for both sides is also provided with examples.
