The development of the aerospace technology enables countries around the world to launch a large number of satellites to carry out extraterrestrial missions. This also poses greater challenges to the control of satellites. The extremely long communication time between satellites and the ground has led to the necessity of autonomous onboard control capability for satellites. The rise of reinforcement learning (RL) technology has driven research on applying RL technology to satellite control problems. This paper attempts to apply the Distributed Soft Actor Critic with Three Improvements (DSAC-T) algorithm to the adaptive continuous control problem of satellite attitude. The problem is described as a reinforcement learning model that controls the satellite to perform a large-angle slew maneuvers and maintain a desired orientation. By setting up rotation experiments, the results show that the DSAC-T algorithm can control satellite to perform rotation tasks more quickly and smoothly than existing continuous control algorithms. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

Vision-and-Language navigation (VLN) requires an agent to navigate in unseen environment by following natural language instruction. For task completion, the agent needs to align and integrate various navigation modalities, including instruction, observation and navigation history. Existing works primarily concentrate on cross-modal attention at the fusion stage to achieve this objective. Nevertheless, modality features generated by disparate uni-encoders reside in their own spaces, leading to a decline in the quality of cross-modal fusion and decision. To address this problem, we propose a Dual-levEL AligNment (DELAN) framework by cross-modal contrastive learning. This framework is designed to align various navigation-related modalities before fusion, thereby enhancing cross-modal interaction and action decision-making. Specifically, we divide the pre-fusion alignment into dual levels: instruction-history level and landmark-observation level according to their semantic correlations. We also reconstruct a dual-level instruction for adaptation to the dual-level alignment. As the training signals for pre-fusion alignment are extremely limited, self-supervised contrastive learning strategies are employed to enforce the matching between different modalities. Our approach seamlessly integrates with the majority of existing models, resulting in improved navigation performance on various VLN benchmarks, including R2R, R4R, RxR and CVDN. © 2024 ELRA Language Resource Association: CC BY-NC 4.0.

In the realm of wireless communications and task allocations, where agents need to travel to perform tasks, a new challenge has emerged. This challenge involves efficiently distributing tasks among agents while considering their preferences and priorities. Unfortunately, many existing solutions rely on centralized systems, making them susceptible to various vulnerabilities, including privacy concerns and security threats. To address these issues, this paper introduces a novel solution named SEPP-TAP-a secure and privacy-preserving decentralized framework for multi-agent task allocation problems, harnessing the power of blockchain technology. SEPP-TAP not only protects agents' privacy and location information but also strengthens network security by mitigating threats like the Sybil attack and network flooding. Our approach employs innovative anonymization techniques to ensure that agents' identities remain concealed throughout successive task requests, breaking any associations between tasks performed by a particular agent. © 2024 IEEE.

Layer-Wise Learning Rate Optimization for Task-Dependent Fine-Tuning of Pre-Trained Models: An Evolutionary Approach

The superior performance of large-scale pre-Trained models, such as Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers (BERT) and Generative Pre-Trained Transformer (GPT), has received increasing attention in both academic and industrial research and has become one of the current research hotspots. A pre-Trained model refers to a model trained on large-scale unlabeled data, whose purpose is to learn general language representation or features for fine-Tuning or transfer learning in subsequent tasks. After pre-Training is complete, a small amount of labeled data can be used to fine-Tune the model for a specific task or domain. This two-stage method of "pre-Training+fine-Tuning"has achieved advanced results in natural language processing (NLP) tasks. Despite widespread adoption, existing fixed fine-Tuning schemes that adapt well to one NLP task may perform inconsistently on other NLP tasks given that different tasks have different latent semantic structures. In this article, we explore the effectiveness of automatic fine-Tuning pattern search for layer-wise learning rates from an evolutionary optimization perspective. Our goal is to use evolutionary algorithms to search for better task-dependent fine-Tuning patterns for specific NLP tasks than typical fixed fine-Tuning patterns. Experimental results on two real-world language benchmarks and three advanced pre-Training language models show the effectiveness and generality of the proposed framework. © 2024 held by the owner/author(s).

Cloud computing is a technology that allows the utilisation of a vast network of computers that are distributed and run in parallel with one another. The management of the multimedia files presents challenges and the significant of which is the prevalence of attackers and users with malicious intent. This article presents the conceptual foundation for a four-tiered data security paradigm that can be implemented in cloud computing. The proposed framework employs a DNA-computing-based password or secret key with a length of 1024 bits for the purpose of encrypting the user private multimedia file or correspondence. The DNABMS algorithm is applied in the cryptographic generation of digital identities as well as pseudorandom number generators. The results of the testing that was done on the model have validated both its reliability and its efficacy, demonstrating that the model that was developed is both reliable and effective. Experiments have demonstrated that the developed method is superior to other well-known existing strategies in terms of both effectiveness and efficiency. © 2023 IEEE.

Web scraping is a powerful technique that extracts data from websites, enabling automated data collection, enhancing data analysis capabilities, and minimizing manual data entry efforts. Existing methods, wrappers-based methods suffer from limited adaptability and scalability when faced with a new website, while language agents, empowered by large language models (LLMs), exhibit poor reusability in diverse web environments. In this work, we introduce the paradigm of generating web scrapers with LLMs and propose AUTOSCRAPER, a two-stage framework that can handle diverse and changing web environments more efficiently. AUTOSCRAPER leverages the hierarchical structure of HTML and similarity across different web pages for generating web scrapers. Besides, we propose a new executability metric for better measuring the performance of web scraper generation tasks. We conduct comprehensive experiments with multiple LLMs and demonstrate the effectiveness of our framework. Our work is now open-source. © 2024 Association for Computational Linguistics.

Towards Long-Tailed Recognition for Graph Classification via Collaborative Experts

Graph classification, aiming at learning the graph-level representations for effective class assignments, has received outstanding achievements, which heavily relies on high-quality datasets that have balanced class distribution. In fact, most real-world graph data naturally presents a long-tailed form, where the head classes occupy much more samples than the tail classes, it thus is essential to study the graph-level classification over long-tailed data while still remaining largely unexplored. However, most existing long-tailed learning methods in visions fail to jointly optimize the representation learning and classifier training, as well as neglect the mining of the hard-to-classify classes. Directly applying existing methods to graphs may lead to sub-optimal performance, since the model trained on graphs would be more sensitive to the long-tailed distribution due to the complex topological characteristics. Hence, in this paper, we propose a novel long-tailed graph-level classification framework via Collaborative Multi-expert Learning (CoMe) to tackle the problem. To equilibrate the contributions of head and tail classes, we first develop balanced contrastive learning from the view of representation learning, and then design an individual-expert classifier training based on hard class mining. In addition, we execute gated fusion and disentangled knowledge distillation among the multiple experts to promote the collaboration in a multi-expert framework. Comprehensive experiments are performed on seven widely-used benchmark datasets to demonstrate the superiority of our method CoMe over state-of-the-art baselines. © 2023 IEEE.
