In the context of an increasingly severe cybersecurity landscape and the growing complexity of offensive and defen-sive techniques,Zero Trust Networks(ZTN)have emerged as a widely recognized *** Trust not only addresses the shortcomings of traditional perimeter security models but also consistently follows the fundamental principle of“never trust,always verify.”Initially proposed by John Cortez in 2010 and subsequently promoted by Google,the Zero Trust model has become a key approach to addressing the ever-growing security threats in complex network *** paper systematically compares the current mainstream cybersecurity models,thoroughly explores the advantages and limitations of the Zero Trust model,and provides an in-depth review of its components and key ***,it analyzes the latest research achievements in the application of Zero Trust technology across various fields,including network security,6G networks,the Internet of Things(IoT),and cloud computing,in the context of specific use *** paper also discusses the innovative contributions of the Zero Trust model in these fields,the challenges it faces,and proposes corresponding solutions and future research directions.

Machine Learning Research often involves the use of diverse libraries, modules, and pseudocodes for data processing, cleaning, filtering, pattern recognition, and computer intelligence. Quantization of Effort Required for the above cumulative processes is rarely discussed in the existing works and The time to reach the desired level of the model's functionality is essential to gauge the environment training for the model training and pre-deployment testing. In this study, we empirically defined the manual-cum-computational effort required for the model development in terms of 2-time factors: time-to-live (time until 1st code modification) and time-for-modification (time between 2 codebase changes) taken together in a mathematical model to compute Effort Factor(quantitative measure of determining effort needed to design ML algorithms). The study is novel in terms of how the effort required to create ML models is calculated with a particular focus on the manual effort direction. The results and the findings obtained can be used for determining the total time needed to synthesize ML models and frameworks in terms of code change cycles and implementation strategies marking a 25% performance increase in the current method above the Standard Pipeline. © 2025 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group.

Blockchain Inspired Secure and Reliable Data Exchange Architecture for Cyber-Physical Healthcare System 4.0

A cyber-physical system is considered to be a collection of strongly coupled communication systems and devices that poses numerous security trials in various industrial applications including healthcare. The security and privacy of patient data is still a big concern because healthcare data is sensitive and valuable, and it is most targeted over the internet. Moreover, from the industrial perspective, the cyber-physical system plays a crucial role in the exchange of data remotely using sensor nodes in distributed environments. In the healthcare industry, Blockchain technology offers a promising solution to resolve most securities-related issues due to its decentralized, immutability, and transparency properties. In this paper, a blockchain-inspired secure and reliable data exchange architecture is proposed in the cyber-physical healthcare industry 4.0. The proposed system uses the BigchainDB, Tendermint, Inter-Planetary-File-System (IPFS), MongoDB, and AES encryption algorithms to improve Healthcare 4.0. Furthermore, blockchain-enabled secure healthcare architecture for accessing and managing the records between Doctors and Patients is introduced. The development of a blockchain-based Electronic Healthcare Record (EHR) exchange system is purely patient-centric, which means the entire control of data is in the owner’s hand which is backed by blockchain for security and privacy. The experimental results prove that the proposed architecture is robust to handle more security attacks and can recover the data if 2/3 of nodes are failed. The proposed model is patient-centric, and control of data is in the patient's hand to enhance security and privacy, even system administrators can’t access data without user permission. © 2023, CC0.

As the application of Industrial Robots(IRs)scales and related participants increase,the demands for intelligent Operation and Maintenance(O&M)and multi-tenant collaboration *** methods could no longer cover the requirements,while the Industrial Internet of Things(IIoT)has been considered a promising ***,there’s a lack of IIoT platforms dedicated to IR O&M,including IR maintenance,process optimization,and knowledge *** this context,this paper puts forward the multi-tenant-oriented ACbot platform,which attempts to provide the first holistic IIoT-based solution for O&M of *** on an information model designed for the IR field,ACbot has implemented an application architecture with resource and microservice management across the cloud and multiple *** this basis,we develop four vital applications including real-time monitoring,health management,process optimization,and knowledge *** have deployed the ACbot platform in real-world scenarios that contain various participants,types of IRs,and *** date,ACbot has been accessed by 10 organizations and managed 60 industrial robots,demonstrating that the platform fulfills our ***,the application results also showcase its robustness,versatility,and adaptability for developing and hosting intelligent robot applications.

Knowledge Transfer Learning via Dual Density Sampling for Resource-Limited Domain Adaptation

Most existing domain adaptation(DA) methods aim to explore favorable performance under complicated environments by ***,there are three unsolved problems that limit their efficiencies:ⅰ) they adopt global sampling but neglect to exploit global and local sampling simultaneously;ⅱ)they either transfer knowledge from a global perspective or a local perspective,while overlooking transmission of confident knowledge from both perspectives;and ⅲ) they apply repeated sampling during iteration,which takes a lot of *** address these problems,knowledge transfer learning via dual density sampling(KTL-DDS) is proposed in this study,which consists of three parts:ⅰ) Dual density sampling(DDS) that jointly leverages two sampling methods associated with different views,i.e.,global density sampling that extracts representative samples with the most common features and local density sampling that selects representative samples with critical boundary information;ⅱ)Consistent maximum mean discrepancy(CMMD) that reduces intra-and cross-domain risks and guarantees high consistency of knowledge by shortening the distances of every two subsets among the four subsets collected by DDS;and ⅲ) Knowledge dissemination(KD) that transmits confident and consistent knowledge from the representative target samples with global and local properties to the whole target domain by preserving the neighboring relationships of the target *** analyses show that DDS avoids repeated sampling during the *** the above three actions,confident knowledge with both global and local properties is transferred,and the memory and running time are greatly *** addition,a general framework named dual density sampling approximation(DDSA) is extended,which can be easily applied to other DA *** experiments on five datasets in clean,label corruption(LC),feature missing(FM),and LC&FM environments demonstrate the encouraging performance of KTL-DDS.

Adaptive Graph Embedding With Consistency and Specificity for Domain Adaptation

Domain adaptation(DA) aims to find a subspace,where the discrepancies between the source and target domains are reduced. Based on this subspace, the classifier trained by the labeled source samples can classify unlabeled target samples *** approaches leverage Graph Embedding Learning to explore such a subspace. Unfortunately, due to 1) the interaction of the consistency and specificity between samples, and 2) the joint impact of the degenerated features and incorrect labels in the samples, the existing approaches might assign unsuitable similarity, which restricts their performance. In this paper, we propose an approach called adaptive graph embedding with consistency and specificity(AGE-CS) to cope with these issues. AGE-CS consists of two methods, i.e., graph embedding with consistency and specificity(GECS), and adaptive graph embedding(AGE).GECS jointly learns the similarity of samples under the geometric distance and semantic similarity metrics, while AGE adaptively adjusts the relative importance between the geometric distance and semantic similarity during the iterations. By AGE-CS,the neighborhood samples with the same label are rewarded,while the neighborhood samples with different labels are punished. As a result, compact structures are preserved, and advanced performance is achieved. Extensive experiments on five benchmark datasets demonstrate that the proposed method performs better than other Graph Embedding methods.

The power system frequency fluctuations could be captured by digital recordings and extracted to compare with a reference database for forensic timestamp *** is known as the Electric Network Frequency(ENF)criterion,enabled by the properties of random fluctuations and intra-grid *** essence,this is a task of matching a short random sequence within a long reference,whose accuracy is mainly concerned with whether this match could be uniquely *** this paper,we comprehensively analyze the factors affecting the reliability of ENF matching,including the length of test recording,length of reference,temporal resolution,and Signal-to-Noise Ratio(SNR).For synthetic analysis,we incorporate the first-order AutoRegressive(AR)ENF model and propose an efficient Time-Frequency Domain noisy ENF synthesis ***,the reliability analysis schemes for both synthetic and real-world data are respectively *** a comprehensive study,we quantitatively reveal that while the SNR is an important external factor to determine whether timestamp verification is viable,the length of test recording is the most important inherent factor,followed by the length of ***,the temporal resolution has little impact on ***,a practical workflow of the ENF-based audio timestamp verification system is proposed,incorporating the discovered results.

As cryptocurrencies become more popular as investment vehicles, bitcoin draws interest from businesses, consumers, and computer scientists all across the world. Bitcoin is a computer file stored in digital wallet applications where each transaction is secured using strong cryptographic algorithms. It was challenging to forecast the future price of bitcoin due to its nonlinearity and extreme volatility. Several recent classic parametric models have been found with limited accuracy. To address the limitations and fill the existing research gaps, there is a need for a good prediction model which will provide the desired accuracy in the case of uncertainty and dynamism. This research suggested a deep learning-based framework for predicting and forecasting Bitcoin price. The research will be helpful for worldwide consumers and industries to take their decision on whether to invest or not. The research utilizes Yahoo! finance dataset for the period of 01-03-2016 to 26-02-2021 having 1828 samples. The experimental outcomes of the proposed Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) model outperformed similar deep learning models by securing minimum loss and confirming that it can be used for future price prediction of the cryptocurrencies, which is helpful for the buyer to take their decision. © 1975-2011 IEEE.

A Lowcost UAV Task Offloading Scheme based on Trustable and Trackable Data Routing

As a promising edge computing paradigm, task offloading involves transferring data from resource-limited devices to high-performance servers to expedite processing. However, devices in isolated networks without direct Internet connections face challenges in task offloading. To address this issue, we propose a novel Low-cost Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Task Offloading Scheme based on Trustable and Trackable Data Routing (LTOTT) for deadline-aware tasks in non-connected networks. The main contributions of LTOTT are as follows: (1) A novel dissemination method that devices route different numbers of Copied Tasks (CTs) and Task Computing Notices (TCNs) in different directions based on task deadlines is proposed to enable the UAV to get tasks earlier and complete them in time. (2) In order to reduce the risk of malicious attacks during the spreading of CTs and TCNs, a trust evaluation based on a trackable data routing method is proposed to ensure secure transmission. (3) In addition, based on the evaluated trust and the received information, a dynamic UAV flight trajectory optimization is proposed to enable tasks completed before their deadlines. A large number of experimental results show that LTOTT increases the task completion rate by 41.41% - 134.15%;reduces average delay and UAV's flight distance respectively by 26.88% - 51.52%, 16.37% -73.40% compared with the existing schemes.
