Protocol conformance testing is an indispensable part of the marketization of commercial terminals. This paper elaborates and studies the architecture, test model, and design scheme of the 5G terminal protocol conformance testing system and proposes a 5G terminal protocol based on TTCN-3 Conformance test codec solution. Vehicular ad hoc networks(VANETs)provide intelligent navigation and efficient route management,resulting in time savings and cost reductions in the transportation ***,the exchange of beacons and messages over public channels among vehicles and roadside units renders these networks vulnerable to numerous attacks and privacy *** address these challenges,several privacy and security preservation protocols based on blockchain and public key cryptography have been proposed ***,most of these schemes are limited by a long execution time and massive communication costs,which make them inefficient for on-board units(OBUs).Additionally,some of them are still susceptible to many *** such,this study presents a novel protocol based on the fusion of elliptic curve cryptography(ECC)and bilinear pairing(BP)*** formal security analysis is accomplished using the Burrows–Abadi–Needham(BAN)logic,demonstrating that our scheme is verifiably *** proposed scheme’s informal security assessment also shows that it provides salient security features,such as non-repudiation,anonymity,and ***,the scheme is shown to be resilient against attacks,such as packet replays,forgeries,message falsifications,and *** the performance perspective,this protocol yields a 37.88%reduction in communication overheads and a 44.44%improvement in the supported security ***,the proposed scheme can be deployed in VANETs to provide robust security at low overheads.

Picocells can enhance the capacity and spectral efficiency of heterogeneous wireless networks (HWNs) and reduce user equipment (UE) power consumption. Also, the wireless backhaul technology has emerged as an efficient way to boost the data rate in dense 5G HWNs. However, due to the dynamic and distributed nature of 5G HWNs, pico edge users (PEUs) cannot resist the eavesdropping attempts. Moreover, the PEUs are located far away from the PBS and receive considerably low signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) values. Thus, it is critical to improve the achievable secrecy rate (SR) of PEUs for reliable and secure transmission of confidential data in the existence of eavesdroppers. Aiming to enhance the SR of PEUs, this paper formulates a joint optimization problem of beamforming and power allocation of millimeter-wave (mmWave)enabled pico base station (PBS) having backhaul wireless links with macro base station (MBS). As the system is diverse and complex, addressing this non-convex optimization problem directly is challenging. Thus, we have used the Markov decision process (MDP) to transform this optimization problem into a multi-agent reinforcement learning (MARL) problem. Then, to determine the optimal policy for MARL problem of beamforming and power allocation, we propose a Quantum reinforcement learning (QRL) approach. It uses quantum parallelism and state superposition principles to maximize the SR of PEUs. Simulation results indicate that the proposed scheme achieves 28.12% and 7.9% better secrecy rate than MAQL and MADQL schemes, respectively. © 2022 IEEE.

With the evolution of existing modeling languages and the emergence of more and more new modeling languages, it is necessary to rapidly build the corresponding software modeling tools with good quality. However, modeling tools for larger modeling languages are usually diversity in function and complexity in implementation technology. Taking building modeling tools as a domain, this paper presents an approach to building software modeling tools based on metamodeling and product line technologies. The paper provides the concept system of the approach and a feature model from diverse functions of modeling tools in order to specify the commonality and variability of the tools by deeply making the domain analysis, discusses the design and implementation of a general tool framework that provides the conveniences for reusing components and generating code for components, and specifies the mapping between the feature model and the components for modeling tools.

This paper focuses on self-healing algorithms in structural health monitoring (SHM) systems centered around the enhancement of resilience and adaptability of the systems. In this study, imports from existing methods (clustering, Fault Tolerant Multiple Redundancy (FTMR) and reinforcement learning) are analyzed against the choice of creating a novel retasking algorithm designed for dynamic resource redistribution and optimal monitoring coverage. Unlike conventional methods, retasking will allow adapting the coverage in real time, whereby system down time will be reduced, with less computational load achieved through task redistribution through functional sensors. Findings showed that retasking improved reliability and scalability of the SHM systems drastically, providing a simple yet powerful resolution towards modern infrastructure monitoring. This study stresses the retasking capability to redefine self-healing in the SHM systems for future directions in infrastructure safety.

In recent years, the heterogeneity among the blockchains has become the driving force behind the development of cross-chain technologies. Due to the limited processing speed of cross-chain system, excessive cross-chain transactions in the short term may cause network congestion and negatively impact. For this reason, it is essential to evaluate and optimize the performance of the cross-blockchain transaction process. However, existing research ignores the limitations of cross-chain systems. Much research is carried out to model, simulate and analyze the performance of traditional blockchain systems rather than cross-blockchain processes. To bridge this gap, our study proposes a queuing theoretical model based on system finite space, using the case of Cosmos, a typical cross-blockchain implemented by the relay mode. The solution of the steady-state equations are established by two-dimensional continuous time Markov process, and the performance measures such as average queue length, transaction rejection probability, and transaction response time are given. Finally, we simulated the analytical solutions of the relevant performance measures through experiments to verify the model’s effectiveness. Convolutional neural network (CNN)-based and Transformer-based methods have recently made significant strides in time series forecasting, which excel at modeling local temporal variations or capturing long-term dependencies. However, real-world time series usually contain intricate temporal patterns, thus making it challenging for existing methods that mainly focus on temporal variations modeling from the 1D time series directly. Based on the intrinsic periodicity of time series, we propose a novel Periodicity Decoupling Framework (PDF) to capture 2D temporal variations of decoupled series for long-term series forecasting. Our PDF mainly consists of three components: multi-periodic decoupling block (MDB), dual variations modeling block (DVMB), and variations aggregation block (VAB). Unlike the previous methods that model 1D temporal variations, our PDF mainly models 2D temporal variations, decoupled from 1D time series by MDB. After that, DVMB attempts to further capture short-term and long-term variations, followed by VAB to make final predictions. Extensive experimental results across seven real-world long-term time series datasets demonstrate the superiority of our method over other state-of-the-art methods, in terms of both forecasting performance and computational efficiency. computer-aided skin lesion segmentation with high precision is crucial to diagnose skin cancers in the early stage. However, the lack of pixel-level labels makes the skin lesion segmentation tasks challenging. To tackle this problem, a new weakly-supervised skin lesion segmentation network with self-attentions named SLSNet is proposed. SLSNet contains two modules and uses image-level labels as supervision information. One module named Intra-image Self-attention Seed Expansion (ISE) digs intra-image self-attentions with an expansion loss and a confidence loss to expand seed areas. The other module named Inter-image Affinity-based Noise Suppression (IAS) suppresses the noise pixels in attention maps via inter-image correlations. Extensive experiments conducted on ISIC-2017 dataset show that SLSNet achieves relatively high performance while reducing human labeling efforts. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd 2024.

Street lights currently use more energy than other types of lighting because of an inefficient mechanism that makes the bulbs use a lot of electricity. The suggested approach uses various sensors on intelligent streetlights to keep an eye on and manage the lights. It has sensors for measuring temperature, brightness, and power that control dimming levels and keep track of status. One Zigbee network serves as the connection point for these lights. In the modification, a cloud- and IoT-based installation was made. Through Zigbee -based data transmission, sensor values are recorded on a distant server known as the Cloud. Additionally, it lowers electricity theft. We include a trash can notice in addition to this street light idea. When the garbage can is whole, a machine automatically notifies the business as people approach the sun, and the brightness of the street lights changes or is increased. © 2024 IEEE.

Deep neural network (DNN) based scene text recognition (STR) methods usually require a large amount of annotated data for training, which is time-consuming and cost-expensive in practice. To address this issue, many data augmentation methods have been developed to train recognizers by improving the diversity of training samples. However, most existing methods neglect the difficulty inherent in samples, and easily suffer from the problem of over-diversity, i.e., the distribution of the augmented data significantly deviates from that of clean data. In this paper, we propose a novel difficulty-aware data augmentation framework for scene text recognition, which jointly considers the difficulty of samples and the strength of augmentations. Specifically, our framework first predicts the sample difficulty, followed by an adaptive data augmentation strategy. Furthermore, we build a more diverse set of augmentation methods for STR and integrate it into our augmentation framework. Extensive experiments on scene text recognition benchmarks show that our augmentation framework significantly improves the performance of recognizers. © 2023 IEEE.
