Visual Place Recognition(VPR)technology aims to use visual information to judge the location of agents,which plays an irreplaceable role in tasks such as loop closure detection and *** is well known that previous VPR algorithms emphasize the extraction and integration of general image features,while ignoring the mining of salient features that play a key role in the discrimination of VPR *** this end,this paper proposes a Domain-invariant Information Extraction and Optimization Network(DIEONet)for *** core of the algorithm is a newly designed Domain-invariant Information Mining Module(DIMM)and a Multi-sample Joint Triplet Loss(MJT Loss).Specifically,DIMM incorporates the interdependence between different spatial regions of the feature map in the cascaded convolutional unit group,which enhances the model’s attention to the domain-invariant static object *** Loss introduces the“joint processing of multiple samples”mechanism into the original triplet loss,and adds a new distance constraint term for“positive and negative”samples,so that the model can avoid falling into local optimum during *** demonstrate the effectiveness of our algorithm by conducting extensive experiments on several authoritative *** particular,the proposed method achieves the best performance on the TokyoTM dataset with a Recall@1 metric of 92.89%.

Decentralized Anonymous Payment Systems (DAP), often known as cryptocurrencies, stand out as some of the most innovative and successful applications on the blockchain. These systems have garnered significant attention in the financial industry due to their highly secure and reliable features. Regrettably, the DAP system can be exploited to fund illegal activities such as drug dealing and terrorism. Therefore, governments are increasingly worried about the illicit use of DAP systems, which poses a critical threat to their security. This paper proposes Privacy and Compliance in Regulated Anonymous Payment System Based on Blockchain (PCRAP), which provides government supervision and enforces regulations over transactions without sacrificing the essential idea of the blockchain, that is, without surrendering transaction privacy or anonymity of the participants. The key characteristic of the proposed scheme is using a ring signature and stealth address to ensure the anonymity of both the sender and receiver of the transaction. Moreover, a Merkle Tree is used to guarantee government supervision and enforce regulations. Our proposed scheme satisfies most of the stringent security requirements and complies with the standards of secure payment systems. Additionally, while our work supports government regulations and supervision, it guarantees unconditional anonymity for users. Furthermore, the performance analysis demonstrates that our suggested scheme still remains applicable and effective even when achieving complete anonymity. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature 2024.

Early detection of colorectal polyps is crucial for preventing colorectal cancer. Although endoscopy is the current standard diagnostic method, it still faces challenges in terms of accuracy, efficiency, and patient comfort. To address these issues, this paper proposes a colorectal polyp detection model named DM-Net. This model utilizes the Dual Feature Integration Block (DFIB) to integrate channel and spatial features, enhancing feature extraction efficiency. Additionally, the model incorporates the Multi-Layer Path Aggregation Network (MLPAN) to handle the multi-scale variations of polyps. Experimental results demon-strate that DM-Net significantly outperforms existing methods in terms of accuracy and efficiency, offering high clinical applica-bility. © 2024 IEEE.

A Novel Lightweight IoT Intrusion Detection Model Based on Self-knowledge Distillation

The Internet of Things (IoT) environment contains many different types of devices, each with different functionalities, communication protocols, and security capabilities, which makes the IoT a complex challenge for security protection. Therefore, network intrusion detection (NID) is needed to detect intrusions in the network to secure the IoT. In recent years, deep learning-based intrusion detection systems have achieved excellent results, but they tend to require high computational resources and storage space, which is not feasible for most IoT devices. In this paper, we propose a lightweight intrusion detection model based on self-knowledge distillation, namely TBCLNN, which improves the detection accuracy while also reducing the number of model parameters and computational cost. Specifically, we use the binary Harris Hawk optimization algorithm for dimensionality reduction of traffic features. We use lightweight convolution, such as Tied Block Convolution (TBC), to design lightweight neural network models with residual and inverse residual structures. Moreover, we propose an improved self-knowledge distillation loss function to solve the sample imbalance problem and compensate for the performance degradation caused by lightweight neural networks. The multiclassification accuracy of our proposed method exceeds 99% on all three publicly available IoT datasets. The experimental results show that our method has a small model size and requires only low computational resources, making it suitable for resource-constrained IoT intrusion detection. © 2014 IEEE.

ViF-SD2E: a robust weakly-supervised framework for neural decoding

Neural decoding plays a vital role in the interaction between the brain and the outside world. Our task in this paper is to decode the movement track of a finger directly based on the neural data. Existing neural decoding solutions primarily perform some preprocessing operations on neural data before feeding them into existing models (such as LSTM) for decoding. However, these solutions either are prone to overfitting or cannot well exploit the spatial and temporal information. In our previous observations, there is a symmetrical phenomenon between the unsupervised decoded trajectory and the ground truth trajectory within the activity space. This precisely motivates us to propose (or derive) a robust weakly-supervised framework (or model structure), called ViF-SD2E, for neural decoding. In particular, it consists of a space-division (SD) module and an exploration–exploitation (2E) strategy, to effectively exploit both the spatial information of the outside world and the temporal information of neural activity, where the SD2E output is analogized with the weak 0/1 vision feedback (ViF) label for training. Extensive experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of our method, which can sometimes be comparable to supervised counterparts. Therefore, we redirect our attention to the information (hidden in data) ViF-SD2E conveys to us. In other words, we believe that the advantage of ViF-SD2E lies in the fact that its processing steps are objectively determined by the inherent attributes (i.e., symmetry) of the neural data, or rather, the model structure is fixed. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag London Ltd., part of Springer Nature 2025.

In the era of big data, there are many different data types, and time series data makes up a large portion of observational data. However, when using sensors to collect time series data, the observation values are not very accurate due to the quality of the sensors and the observation errors. So how to estimate true data from multiple uncertain sensors' observations has becoming a hot research topic in IoT and big data fields. Several data cleaning methods for time series have been proposed, but many of them have strong constraints. Intuitively, if two observations are close, their contributions to true data estimation should be similar. According to this idea, in this paper we propose a novel data cleaning and truth discovery method named RWTD for time series based on random walk sampling. Distances between observations are calculated to build a state graph, and random walk sampling is used to estimate the weights of data sources. True data is estimated as the weighted sum of observations. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of our method. © 2022 IEEE.

Traffic sign recognition is an important part of driver assistance systems. Because the types of traffic signs are complex and diverse, they are difficult to identify. Traditional recognition methods require manual extraction of features, which is difficult and inaccurate. This paper proposes a FastVGG network based on VGG neural network to extract the features of the target image to realise the recognition of traffic signs under different angles and illumination. In the method of this paper, the connection layer parameters and the number of network layers are moderately reduced, the merging step is increased, and the recognition speed is improved. When the parameter value is less than zero, the leaky ReLU is used to replace the activation function to solve the problem of neuron death. The experimental results of the German traffic sign recognition dataset (GTSRD) show that the algorithm can achieve accurate classification while increasing the speed. © 2022 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.. As the application of Industrial Robots(IRs)scales and related participants increase,the demands for intelligent Operation and Maintenance(O&M)and multi-tenant collaboration *** methods could no longer cover the requirements,while the Industrial Internet of Things(IIoT)has been considered a promising ***,there’s a lack of IIoT platforms dedicated to IR O&M,including IR maintenance,process optimization,and knowledge *** this context,this paper puts forward the multi-tenant-oriented ACbot platform,which attempts to provide the first holistic IIoT-based solution for O&M of *** on an information model designed for the IR field,ACbot has implemented an application architecture with resource and microservice management across the cloud and multiple *** this basis,we develop four vital applications including real-time monitoring,health management,process optimization,and knowledge *** have deployed the ACbot platform in real-world scenarios that contain various participants,types of IRs,and *** date,ACbot has been accessed by 10 organizations and managed 60 industrial robots,demonstrating that the platform fulfills our ***,the application results also showcase its robustness,versatility,and adaptability for developing and hosting intelligent robot applications.
