Digital watermarking technology is adequate for copyright protection and content *** needs to be more research on the watermarking algorithm after printing and *** at the problem that existing anti-print scanning text image watermarking algorithms cannot take into account the invisibility and robustness of the watermark,an anti-print scanning watermarking algorithm suitable for text images is *** algorithm first performs a series of image enhancement preprocessing operations on the printed scanned image to eliminate the interference of incorrect bit information on watermark embedding and then uses a combination of Discrete Wavelet Transform(DWT)-Singular Value Decomposition(SVD)to embed the *** show that the average Normalized Correlation(NC)of the watermark extracted by this algorithm against attacks such as Joint Photographic Experts Group(JPEG)compression,JPEG2000 compression,and print scanning is above ***,the average NC of the watermark extracted after print scanning attacks is greater than 0.964,and the average Bit Error Ratio(BER)is 5.15%.This indicates that this algorithm has strong resistance to various attacks and print scanning attacks and can better take into account the invisibility of the watermark.

A Novel Association Rule Mining Method for Streaming Temporal Data

Streaming temporal data contains time stamps and values, challenging to quantify relationships of time stamps and corresponding values. Moreover, the characteristics and relationships of streaming temporal data are not invariable. Thus, it is impossible to analyse all data by a trained model at the beginning of data streams. Practically, the trained model to analyse streaming temporal data should change according to the increasing volume of data. Association rule mining, on the other hand, can find potential relationships from given data. This paper proposes an association rule mining method for streaming temporal data to discover potential relationships from streaming temporal data. Our experiments verify our proposed method. A public data set is applied to compare the performance of the proposed method and its counterpart. A small data set is also applied for two case studies to further illustrate our proposed method mine association rules with streaming temporal data with time stamps and corresponding values. © 2021, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature.

Collaborative graph contrastive learning for recommendation

Recently, Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) using aggregating neighborhood collaborative information have shown effectiveness in recommendation. However, GNNs-based models suffer from over-smoothing and data sparsity problems. Due to its self-supervised nature, contrastive learning has gained considerable attention in the field of recommendation, aiming at alleviating highly sparse data. Graph contrastive learning models are widely used to learn the consistency of representations by constructing different graph augmentation views. Most current graph augmentation with random perturbation destroy the original graph structure information, which mislead embeddings learning. In this paper, an effective graph contrastive learning paradigm CollaGCL is proposed, which constructs graph augmentation by using singular value decomposition to preserve crucial structure information. CollaGCL enables perturbed views to effectively capture global collaborative information, mitigating the negative impact of graph structural perturbations. To optimize the contrastive learning task, the extracted meta-knowledge was propagate throughout the original graph to learn reliable embedding representations. The self-information learning between views enhances the semantic information of nodes, thus alleviating the problem of over-smoothing. Experimental results on three real-world datasets demonstrate the significant improvement of CollaGCL over state-of-the-art methods. © 2025 – IOS Press. All rights reserved.

Innovation and Informatization of Civics Teaching Mode in Colleges and Universities under Integrated Transfer Learning Strategies

This study addresses the problem of predicting student performance by proposing a heterogeneous transfer learning method based on FMBCC-FT, which aims to accurately predict students' Civics knowledge mastery. The study achieves effective knowledge transfer by defining university Civics teaching as the source domain and considering the university's demand for students' Civics dynamics as the target domain. After collecting and standardizing students' Civics education data, this study constructed a knowledge base model of Civics teaching based on the source domain data and migrated it to the target domain. To compensate for the bias in the migration, the study designed a three-stage iterative optimization migration weight learning method, which significantly improved the quality of Civics teaching by updating the parameter weights of the source domain model. The process was verified through the experimental control group pre and post-tests. The results showed that the total score of critical thinking ability pre and post-tests was -3.39. The students' innovative consciousness score in the experimental group was 3.96, which was significantly higher than that of the control group, which was 0.18. In addition, the scores of the quality dimensions of the students in the control group and the experimental group ranged from 3.22 to 3.40 and 3.43 to 3.68, respectively. This empirical result effectively confirms that the Civics teaching model proposed in this paper can effectively improve students' critical thinking ability, innovation consciousness and overall quality, which is of great guiding significance to the current practice of Civics teaching in colleges and universities. © 2023 Liegang Zou, published by Sciendo.

Machine learning is widely used in medical image classification tasks. However, medical images often exhibit uneven distribution and high sensitivity to noise. A feasible solution involves using federated learning (FL) with differential privacy (DP), a distributed training method that protects patient privacy. In this work, many studies have proposed improved solutions for localized differential-private federated learning (DP-FL) frameworks. However, these studies are isolated, which would be detrimental to privacy practitioners in designing and using the algorithms. To provide a comprehensive analysis of these algorithms, we propose DPFedSAM-Meas, as a framework for comprehensive utility analysis of DP-FL. In this framework, we employed the state-of-the-art federated learning framework FedSAM. Moreover, we categorize DP algorithms into Laplace DP and Gaussian DP by the underlying DP mechanisms, and into Gradient DP and Parameter DP by the DP position in FL train. DPFedSAM-Meas allows a comparative analysis of these four DP techniques, measuring their model utility, privacy leakage, and overhead when FL uses different network structures. Finally, we evaluate DPFedSAM-Meas on datasets of Pneumonia, Blood, and Path, aiming to investigate the performance of different DP techniques on mainstream deep learning algorithms, including Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) and Vision Transformers (ViT). © 2024 IEEE.

Soft robots offer promising solutions for rehabilitation due to their inherent attributes such as suppleness, lightweight construction, and safety features. However, prevalent soft actuators face limitations in output force and bending angle, impeding their effective application in rehabilitation. This paper proposes a novel design approach employing a two-layer lattice structure actuator, comprising flexion, guiding, and extension layers. This innovative design facilitates supple and efficient bi-directional rehabilitation training for fingers and wrists. Experimental results demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed dual-layer lattice structure actuator. At an air pressure of 150 kPa, it achieves an end force of 14.88 N, marking a remarkable 906% increase compared to its single-layer counterpart. Additionally, the dual-layer structure exhibits a minimum bending radius of 2.77 cm under 60 kPa, representing a 38.5% reduction relative to the single-layer actuator. Leveraging these actuators, a hand and wrist rehabilitation robot was developed and subjected to a clinical trial involving two healthy subjects. The trial outcomes reveal significant improvements in finger grasping ability and wrist range of motion with the assistance of the rehabilitation robot. These results underscore the practical usability and effectiveness of the soft hand and wrist rehabilitation robot, thereby holding promise for enhancing patient rehabilitation outcomes. © 2024 IEEE.

Anomaly detection is a popular research topic in Artificial Intelligence and has been widely applied in network security, financial fraud detection, and industrial equipment failure detection. Isolation forest based methods are the base algorithms to detect anomalies in these scenarios for their simplicity and efficiency, which has been further exploited with multi-folk trees and learning mechanisms to realize the optimal isolation forest for high detection accuracy. However, the optimal isolation forest is time-consuming with the learning mechanisms, resulting in the task failing of time-constrained applications. Moreover, the original optimal isolation forest fails to construct the optimal tree structure restricted by the time complexity. To address the above challenges, we propose an efficient anomaly detection method called EEIF, which realizes the real e-folk structure of the optimal isolation forest in our practical algorithm design. Specifically, we design a distribution that perfectly matches the e-branch theory to construct the optimal isolation forest. Then, we design an FR clustering scheme to achieve fast training of the isolation forest with learning to hash and provide related proofs of accuracy and efficiency. Besides, a parallel algorithm is integrated into our method to reduce prediction time. Finally, extensive experiments are conducted on a large amount of real-world datasets and the results demonstrate that our method significantly improves efficiency while ensuring effectiveness, compared with the state-of-the-art methods. © 2024 IEEE.

Biological classification is the foundation of biology and paleontology,as it arranges all the organisms in a hierarchy that humans can easily follow and *** is further used to reconstruct the evolution of life.A biological classification system(BCS)that includes all the established fossil taxa would be both useful and challenging for uncovering the life *** fossil taxa were originally recorded in various published books and articles written by natural languages,the primary step is to organize all those taxa information in a manner that can be deciphered by a computer system.A Knowledge Graph(KG)is a formalized description framework of semantic knowledge,which represents and retrieves knowledge in a machine-understandable way,and therefore provides an eligible method to represent the *** this paper,a model of the BCS KG including the ontology and fact layers is *** put it into practice,the ontology layer of the invertebrate fossil branches was manually developed,while the fact layer was automatically constructed by extracting information from 46 volumes of the Treatise of Invertebrate Paleontology series with the help of natural language processing *** a result,27348 taxa nodes spanning fourteen taxonomic ranks were extracted with high accuracy and high efficiency,and the invertebrate fossil branches of the BCS KG was thus *** study demonstrates that a properly designed KG model and its automatic construction with the help of natural language processing are reliable and efficient.
