Scientific information extraction (SciIE), which aims to automatically extract information from scientific literature, is becoming more important than ever. However, there are no existing SciIE datasets for polymer materials, which is an important class of materials used ubiquitously in our daily lives. To bridge this gap, we introduce POLYIE, a new SciIE dataset for polymer materials. POLYIE is curated from 146 full-length polymer scholarly articles, which are annotated with different named entities (i.e., materials, properties, values, conditions) as well as their N-ary relations by domain experts. POLYIE presents several unique challenges due to diverse lexical formats of entities, ambiguity between entities, and variable-length relations. We evaluate state-of-the-art named entity extraction and relation extraction models on POLYIE, analyze their strengths and weaknesses, and highlight some difficult cases for these models. To the best of our knowledge, POLYIE is the first SciIE benchmark for polymer materials, and we hope it will lead to more research efforts from the community on this challenging task. With the evolution of intelligent grid tech, the need for monitoring power quality has markedly risen, essential for the continuous functioning of the power grid. Addressing this matter, this research proposes a combined approach combining Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) with Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory (BiLSTM) networks. The model effectively catches spatial or temporary aspects of power quality disruptions using CNN and employs BiLSTM to document long-term or temporal aspects, thus creating a profound correlation between input and output sequences. By substantially decreasing reliance on conventional physical attributes, this technique markedly enhances the precision in detecting power quality anomalies. Crucially, this technique, independent of particular original samples and existing information, holds widespread applicability and is applicable in identifying patterns in various other intricate systems. Research on experiments indicates that, as opposed to conventional machine learning frameworks, deep learning approaches are more effective in detecting disruptions in power quality. Our hybrid model excels in identifying power quality disturbance (PQD) and produces highly accurate recognition outcomes by autonomously analyzing central features of the disturbance indications. © 2024 IEEE.

Since the virus that causes corona disease was discovered, it has gotten more difficult to find medical professionals with the appropriate licenses, including doctors, nurses, diagnostic equipment, and medications. Due to the intense grieving, a substantial number of people in the medical industry pass away. Because of the scarcity, a lot of individuals began self-medicating without first consulting a doctor, which made the health problem worse. There are numerous well-established applications for machine learning, and recent years have witnessed a growth in the pace and breadth of computerization-related research and development. The goal of this research is to develop a method for recommending medications that might greatly reduce the obligations of specialists. In this work, we built a drug recommendation system that makes estimations about the emotional of patient reviews using a variety of different vectorization techniques, such as using a Bow, The TF-ID Word 2 Vector, or Manually Feature Analysis. The predicted emotions were graded using accuracy, remembrance, flscore, exactness, and the area beneath the slope (AUC). The results show that, when weighed against the other models, the classification technique Linear SVC + The TF -I vector process has the greatest accuracy. © 2024 IEEE.

This research explores the augmentation of Agricultural Internet of Things (IoT) systems through the integration of advanced predictive analytics and reinforcement learning models. A novel algorithm, termed "CropQL,"is proposed to optimize crop yield prediction and resource allocation in precision agriculture. CropQL amalgamates the strengths of the CropNet IoT model with Q-Learning for reinforcement learning and Random Forest for predictive analytics. Simulation analyses are conducted to evaluate the performance of CropQL against established algorithms, employing diverse metrics such as precision, recall, F1 score, and area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC-ROC). The proposed CropQL algorithm exhibits superior predictive accuracy, demonstrating a significant enhancement in crop yield forecasting when compared to baseline algorithms. Precision and recall metrics reveal the algorithm's efficacy in minimizing false positives and negatives, ensuring precision agriculture systems make informed decisions. F1 score indicates the balanced optimization of precision and recall, reinforcing the algorithm's robustness. AUC-ROC analysis further corroborates the superior discriminative power of CropQL in distinguishing between positive and negative instances. In comparison to existing algorithms, including AgriSensNet, PrecisionCropNet, and IoTFarmGuard, CropQL consistently outperforms in predictive accuracy and resource optimization. The simulation results underscore the efficacy of the proposed algorithm in enhancing the efficiency of agricultural IoT systems, providing a promising avenue for sustainable precision farming. © 2024 IEEE.

A brain tumour is an abnormal development of brain tissue that disrupts normal brain function. The proper diagnosis of a brain tumour relies heavily on its correct identification. This article discusses the pros and cons of recently developed technologies for diagnosing brain tumours. We propose a generic flow map that can be used in many different situations, including the detection of brain tumours. The many accessible datasets are given for use in evaluating brain tumour algorithms. Multi-modal multi-view graph learning models have achieved significant success in medical outcome prediction, combining various modalities to enhance the performance of various medical tasks. However, current architectures for multi-modal multi-view graph learning (M3GL) models heavily depend on manual design, demanding significant effort and expert experience. Meanwhile, significant advancements have been achieved in the field of graph neural architecture search (GNAS), contributing to the automated design of learning architectures based on graphs. However, GNAS faces challenges in automating multimodal multi-view graph learning (M3GL) models, as existing frameworks cannot handle M3GL architecture topology, and current search spaces do not consider M3GL models. To address the above challenges, we propose, for the first time, a multi-modal multi-view graph neural architecture search (M3GNAS) framework that automates the construction of the optimal M3GL models, enabling the integration of multi-modal features from different views. We also design an effective multi-modal multi-view learning (M3L) search space to develop inner-view and outer-view graph representation learning in the context of graph learning, obtaining a latent graph representation tailored to the specific requirements of downstream tasks. To examine the effectiveness of M3GNAS, it is evaluated on medical outcome prediction tasks. The experimental findings demonstrate our proposed framework's superior performance compared to state-of-the-art models. © 2024 IEEE.

Threats using website visual designs and content structures, along with standard coding vulnerabilities, represent an increasing danger to web security. To enhance web security, this paper introduces a new method called cross-feature analysis that integrates the investigation of visual design, live logs, code structures and other vulnerabilities. Based on this threefold correlation, this method identifies discrepancies that might have otherwise gone undetected by traditional approaches reliant on discrete elements. This research rightly provides a thorough methodology for evaluating XSS detection, SQL injection error and time-based testing, CSRF vulnerability checking, clickjacking protection, information disclosure detection, and risk assessment are all included in this. It includes several test vectors for each vulnerability, port scanning with service discovery, analysis of SSL/TLS and security headers, assessment of DNS setup, and integration of WHOIS data. Live monitoring is supported by real-time logging, and actionable insights to strengthen security posture across infrastructure and online applications are provided via a risk-based grading system with recommendations. © 2024 IEEE.
