This research explores the efficacy of clustering algorithms in enhancing customer experiences within the e-commerce landscape. Through experiment trials utilizing K-means and DBSCAN clustering techniques, valuable insights have been gleaned. The trials yielded silhouette scores ranging from 0.55 to 0.72, indicating moderate to good clustering quality across different experiments. In K-means clustering, the number of clusters varied from 3 to 6, with inertia values spanning approximately 722.4–1456.8. Conversely, DBSCAN clustering resulted in varying cluster numbers, ranging from 2 to 4, contingent on the combinations of epsilon and min_samples values explored. These findings underscore the significance of judiciously selecting clustering algorithms and parameter settings to achieve meaningful segmentation of e-commerce data. Effective utilization of clustering algorithms empowers businesses to discern valuable insights into customer behavior, preferences, and patterns. Consequently, businesses can tailor their strategies to deliver personalized experiences, targeted marketing campaigns, and optimized product recommendations. In the face of escalating cyber-attacks marked by increasing sophistication, the accurate detection of intrusions has become a paramount challenge in the realm of computer security. This comprehensive survey explores the intricate landscape of intrusion detection methods, a cornerstone of defense against cybersecurity threats. The paper categorizes intrusion detection methods into two main types: Signature-based Intrusion Detection Systems (SIDS) and Anomaly-based Intrusion Detection Systems (AIDS). With meticulous detail, the paper presents a taxonomy of contemporary IDS, providing a systematic understanding of their diverse approaches. Additionally, the paper conducts a thorough review of recent ground breaking works, highlighting the cutting-edge advancements in intrusion detection techniques. Moreover, the paper delves into the crucial role of datasets commonly used for evaluation, emphasizing their impact on the effectiveness of intrusion detection systems. Beyond the current state of IDS, the paper critically examines the evasion techniques employed by attackers to evade detection, emphasizing the need for robust countermeasures. Finally, the paper contemplates the future of intrusion detection, outlining the research challenges that lie ahead. The prevalence of multilabel aggressive text content on social media has a detrimental societal impact attracting the attention of government agencies and tech corporations to undertake measures against the spread of it. Hitherto research has focused on high-resource languages like English, leaving low-resource languages like Bengali out of the spotlight. This work presents a transformer-based technique to classify multilabel aggressive texts in Bengali into their targets to aid research in this area. A dataset (EM-BAD) containing 13728 texts is developed into five target classes: Religious Aggression (ReAG), Political Aggression (PoAG), Verbal Aggression (VeAG), Gender Aggression (GeAG), and Racial Aggression (RaAG) to perform the aggressive texts classification. Experimental results demonstrate that the Bangla-BERT with adjusted pooling layer and fine-tuning outdoes all ML, DL, and transformer-base baselines and existing techniques. The Bangla-BERT shows the highest weighted f1-score of 0.89 in the multilabel aggressive text classification task.

The rapid development of Internet of Things (IoT) technology has driven the intelligent transformation of various industries, including manufacturing, agriculture, and healthcare, etc., significantly enhancing their management capabilities and decision-making efficiency. Data analysis is crucial, serving as both the core technology of this transformation and a major driving force for advancing industry intelligence. However, the increasing volume of data has led to high energy consumption during data analysis, posing significant challenges to environmental and economic sustainability. Integrating renewable energy sources (RESs) is an effective way to reduce greenhouse gas emissions due to their low-carbon and renewable nature. Additionally, the spatiotemporal variability and complementarity of RES generation and grid electricity prices provide favorable conditions for distributed data processing. Therefore, a two-stage demand response scheme is proposed to reduce carbon emissions and electricity costs by prioritizing data processing in data centers (DCs) where RES is abundant or electricity prices are low, based on RES generation and electricity price signals. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme reduces 36.37% carbon emissions and 20.49% electricity costs compared to the benchmark algorithm, indicating its potential for both environmental and economic optimization. © 2024 IEEE.

High Quality Global Routing Algorithm Based on Multi-Stage Optimization

Global routing is a crucial step in VLSI physical design. To address the problems that the low utilization rate of capacity and easy to fall into local optimum in the existing global routing algorithms, a high-quality global routing algorithm based on multi-stage optimization is proposed. First, the virtual capacity dynamic adjustment strategy is introduced in the pre-connection stage and the routing reorganization stage to improve the utilization rate of capacity. Then, in the routing reorganization stage, the routing subarea adaptive expansion strategy is proposed to narrow the search space and improve the routing efficiency. Finally, the A* algorithm heuristic search is combined with the global search capability of the particle swarm algorithm to avoid the algorithm to choose the shortest path in the routing process, and thus avoid the algorithm to fall into the local optimum. Experimental results comparing with existing global routing algorithms on ISPD benchmark circuits show that the routing results of proposed algorithm reduce the wirelength by 6.0% to 22.8%. © 2024 Institute of computing technology. In light of the challenges associated with enhancing multimodal knowledge graph retrieval and improving embodied intelligence in dynamic environments, we propose the Multimodal Knowledge Graph Vision-Language System (MKGVL). This system is designed to enhance the reasoning and feedback capabilities of embodied intelligent systems by continuously updating the knowledge graph through real-time feedback from the Vision-Language Model (VLM). By integrating visual encoders, language models, and knowledge graph networks, MKGVL constructs a unified multimodal representation that enables adaptive decision-making and responsiveness to environmental changes. Experimental results show that MKGVL outperforms existing models in fine-grained retrieval tasks, achieving an 11.5% improvement in Rank1 accuracy and a mean Average Precision (mAP) of 97.49%. Further evaluations conducted on datasets such as ARKitScenes, MultiScan, and 3RScan highlight the model's robustness and adaptability. Additionally, MKGVL's deployment on embedded platforms like Jetson Orin demonstrates its efficiency in real-time multimodal tasks, particularly in resource-constrained environments. These findings underscore MKGVL's ability to deliver accurate and efficient multimodal processing, making it a strong solution for adaptive knowledge-based systems in complex settings. © 2024 IEEE.

Benefiting from the performance enhancement brought by multistatic cooperative sensing, integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) can capture more environmental information to address the security risk of information leakage caused by the openness of wireless channels. In this paper, we study the multistatic cooperative sensing assisted secure transmission via intelligent reflecting surface (IRS). In particular, we propose a multistatic cooperative sensing scheme to obtain the angle of arrival and the localization of the eavesdropping target to achieve the beam alignment accurately. The goal is to maximize the sum secrecy rate by jointly optimizing the association variables of base station (BS) and users, the BS beamforming and the IRS phase shifts, subject to the requirement of target sensing. Due to the coupling of variables and non-convex objective function, the formulated problem is intractable to solve directly. As such, we decompose it into three subproblems and develop an alternative optimization algorithm to solve them iteratively. The association variables are first optimized by successive convex approximation. Then, the BS transmit beamforming can be derived via the semidefinite relaxation. Finally, we adopt an alternating direction method of multiplier for the IRS phase-shift design. Simulation results indicate the feasibility of the proposed scheme, and the multistatic cooperative sensing via IRS can enhance the sensing performance and guarantee the secure transmission. © 2002-2012 IEEE.

Active power dispatch of wind farms plays an important role in power grid scheduling. In this paper, a data-driven active power dispatch strategy for wind farms is proposed, which uses the key point of minimizing the standard deviation of wind turbines' output power series to reduce their fluctuations. First, to build the optimization problem, the historical active power output data of each wind turbine is collected from the Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA) system. Then, the objective function is developed based on the idea of minimizing the standard deviation of the output power time series. Meanwhile, considering the constraints of wind turbines' output power and active power balance of the grid, the feasible domain of the cost function is constructed. Further, to solve the proposed nonlinear optimization problem with equality and inequality constraints, the trust region interior point method (TRIPM) is employed to explore optimal solution within the feasible domain. Finally, actual data collected from wind farms is used to test effectiveness of the designed approach and experimental results show that our method can achieve better output power smoothing performance than conventional Proportional Dispatch (PD) method. © 2024 IEEE.

Textual sentiment analysis (TSA) has gained significant attention recently for its wide-ranging applications across various research domains and industries. However, most existing research and sentiment analysis tools are primarily tailored for English texts. The unique linguistic complexities of the Bengali language, coupled with a paucity of comprehensive resources and tools, pose distinctive challenges for TSA in Bengali. This paper introduces an intelligent approach, leveraging transformer-based learning techniques by harnessing the potent capabilities of self-attention mechanisms for dealing with Bengali sentences containing ungrammatical structures or local dialects. To tackle the downstream TSA task in Bengali, this work explores a range of machine learning (ML), deep learning (DL), and transformer-based baselines. Experimental results reveal that the Bangla BERT model outperforms the other baselines, achieving the highest weighted f 1 -score of 0.69.
