The rising incidence of bad food patterns and accompanying health problems requires the creation of novel strategies to promote improved eating habits. This study paper describes the creation of a food scanning application for calorie analysis, which will be a useful tool for anyone looking to make informed dietary choices. To precisely estimate the calorie value of various food items, the application employs picture recognition technology, and a large food database. The paper describes the design and development process, which includes data gathering, image recognition algorithms, and application integration with existing nutritional datasets. Our research also analyzes the potential influence of such a tool on public health, emphasizing its role in raising awareness, facilitating self-monitoring, and supporting healthier eating choices. The findings show that technology could influence beneficial lifestyle choices and improve overall well-being. © 2024 IEEE.

In the current restaurant business environment, factors have emerged in the manner in which consumers are attended to and the ways orders are placed. As good as these traditional systems may be, they do not offer the optimum flexibility and consumer convergence that today's client demands for fast and convenient services. Recent approaches using only basic form of automation and rule-based chatbots do offer some enhancements but lack adequate capabilities to deal with huge volumes of orders, custom recommendations and scalability according to demand. Further, the existing systems have problems with scalability, versatility to different customers' trends and needs, and real-time interactions. To overcome these challenges our work, will utilize modern advances in artificial intelligence and cloud technology. The proposed system uses Amazon Lex for NLU, A WS Lambda for processing multiple booking requests simultaneously without any intervention from the users and Amazon Polly for making interaction more interactive with personalized audio. In addition, Amazon Rekognition and A WS S3 for images will be used for analysis of images and proper storage of data respectively, enhancing the customer satisfaction by recommending products based on a past order. All these technologies integrated with A WS ecosystem in our solution will provide convenience, efficiency and passion to restaurant business proprietors to fulfill the increasing demands of modern customer. The system also supports linkage with some commonly used applications such as WhatsApp, guaranteeing that the customers receive timely updates. Thus, this solution is designed to create an improved status of restaurant ordering and eliminate the problematic experiences placed in current schemes. © 2024 IEEE.

Deep ensemble model for skin cancer classification with improved feature set

Early identification of skin cancer is mandatory to minimize the worldwide death rate as this disease is covering more than 30% of mortality rates in young and adults. Researchers are in the move of proposing advanced models for the accurate classification of skin disease. This paper introduces a novel skin cancer detection model under the stages of preprocessing, feature extraction, classification as well as segmentation. The given input is first preprocessed via Gaussian filtering. Subsequently, the Deep learning model termed as ‘U-net’ is used for the segmentation process. Afterward, the extraction of the feature set including features like Improved Center symmetric Local Binary Pattern (ICS-LBP), Local Gradient Pattern (LGP), Median binary pattern (MBP) is performed. Classification takes place using Deep Ensemble Model based on the extracted features, that includes BiGRU, Deep Maxout, and Improved Deep Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), respectively. Also, as the hyperparameter tuning of the classification model enhances the performance, this work introduces a new Hybrid Atom and Arithmetic Operation Algorithm (HAAOA) algorithm for tuning the optimal weights of the Bi-GRU (Bi-directional Gated Recurrent Unit) and Deep Maxout model. At last, the validation of the proposed work is performed through different performance measures by comparing it with different algorithms. Accordingly, accuracy of the adopted method at 90th learning percentage is 93.56%, which is (~) 82.63%, 85.15%, 84.98%, 83.66% and 83.42% better than AOA, ASO, BWO, BMO and DO, respectively. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

In deep reinforcement learning, sampling ineffi-ciency is addressed by mimicking human learning which lever-Ages past experiences stored in the hippocampus. Integrating this idea, the proposed approach utilizes a task-conditioned hypernetwork retrieval network with MobileNet for feature extraction from past experiences. Furthermore, BERT was in-Tegrated for advanced natural language understanding, enabling our DRL agents to better interpret and act upon language-based tasks. This approach ensures dynamic adaptability and fosters a more efficient collaboration between retrieval and decision-making processes. Evaluation in MiniGrid demonstrates that the proposed method outperforms strong baselines, showing significant advancements in deep reinforcement learning with natural language processing capabilities. This advancement not only marks progress in sampling efficiency but also opens new avenues for multi-Task learning, paving the way for more intelligent, autonomous AI systems. © 2024 IEEE.

The paper uses Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL) to traffic signal regulation, solving urban traffic congestion. Our research paper demonstrates the simulation of intricate traffic conditions with microscopic accuracy, utilizing the Simulation of Urban Mobility (SUMO) platform. As the foundation for DRL, a state representation and action space are established. The learning process is guided by the Deep Q-Network (DQN) architecture, precisely set hyperparameters, and epsilon-greedy exploration. To improve stability, training data is gathered and stored in an experience replay buffer. The DQN-based technology is built into the SUMO simulation and allows for dynamic traffic signal modifications. Updates to the target network on a regular basis increase stability. Metrics for evaluation include average waiting time, traffic flow efficiency, and congestion levels, which compare favorably to baseline approaches. In conclusion, this study shows the usefulness of DRL in optimizing traffic signal control, providing viable strategies to minimize urban traffic congestion and increase transportation efficiency. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper introduces the ResNet-BOSCN architecture, which integrates Bayesian Optimized Stochastic Configuration Networks (SCNs) with traditional Residual Networks (ResNet) to tackle the challenges of lung X-ray image classification. Unlike conventional methods, ResNet-BOSCN employs Bayesian Optimization to dynamically optimize the network's hidden node count, effectively addressing the complexities inherent in medical imaging datasets. This optimization enables the architecture to adapt more precisely to varying data characteristics, significantly enhancing classification accuracy. ResNet-BOSCN achieves an accuracy of 98.81% in three-class lung X-ray image classification, marking a substantial improvement over the standard ResNet101's accuracy of 97.62%. © 2024 IEEE.

Anomaly detection is a task that involves identifying patterns or events that deviate significantly from the expected or normal behavior. In the context of classroom settings, it is essential to identify mischievous behavior exhibited by students to ensure a productive and conducive learning environment. This paper proposes a new method to identify abnormal behavior in a classroom setting using computer vision and deep learning techniques. This method uses convolutional neural networks (CNNs) and recurrent neural networks (RNN) algorithms to detect hand-raising, sleeping, talking, and fighting behaviors in the classroom with live video surveillance. It involves using the You Only Look Once (YOLO) algorithm to locate the position of students in the frame and an RNN algorithm to classify their behavior as normal or anomalous. RNN algorithm is trained on a labeled image and video dataset containing examples of normal and abnormal behaviors. This system can trigger real-time alerts, allowing teachers to act appropriately to maintain a conducive learning environment. It also helps to identify and address disruptive behaviors. Real-time, revolutionizing classroom monitoring: Our algorithm has the potential to improve student safety and well-being, as well as their academic performance. This paper presents a comprehensive evaluation and ranking of five Large Language Models - Mistral, Vicuna, Phi, Llama 2, and Zephyr - across five temperature variants. The focus is on their ability to predict the likelihood of a relationship between pairs of entities within a given context. Each LLM variant is assessed based on stability over multiple epochs, speed, dispersion of results, and the number of incorrect responses. The study aims to provide insights into the performance of these LLMs, thereby facilitating their effective utilization in generating meaningful tabular data. The findings are expected to contribute significantly to the field of artificial intelligence and data analysis. A key technology in information security, picture encryption is intended to safeguard the integrity and confidentiality of digital photographs. Using a variety of cryptographic techniques and algorithms, the original image is transformed into an encrypted format throughout this process, making it more difficult for unauthorized users to view or understand the content. Secure communication, picture sharing, medical imaging, and many more fields requiring the protection of sensitive visual data find widespread use in image encryption. A key technology in information security, picture encryption is intended to safeguard the integrity and confidentiality of digital photographs. It also discusses the difficulties and potential paths for picture encryption, highlighting the rising demand for reliable, effective, and secure image encryption solutions in a world that is becoming more and more networked and data-driven. This paper presents an in-depth evaluation of peer-to-peer (P2P) energy sharing in community microgrids using PSS Sincal for power flow simulations. The study focuses on an IEEE bus system configured as community microgrids, where each bus functions as an independent microgrid equipped with loads, Solar PV systems, batteries, and converters. These microgrids are connected to the main grid and leverage a dynamic power flow control mechanism through strategically placed switches managed by a custom algorithm by ensuring the power flow converges. Four distinct scenarios were rigorously tested: 'Isolated Operation,' where each community grid meets its power requirements solely through PV generation;'Total Dependence on the Main Grid,' where PV systems generate no power, and communities rely entirely on the main grid;'Partial PV Generation,' where PV systems partially meet power needs, supplemented by the main grid;and 'Surplus PV Generation,' where PV systems generate excess power for sharing. The PSS Sincal simulations demonstrated the algorithm's effectiveness in enhancing energy distribution efficiency, stability, and the utilization of renewable resources. This study underscores the practical viability of P2P energy sharing in community mi- crogrids, contributing valuable insights to the development of resilient and intelligent power networks. © 2024 IEEE.
