Manual university course timetable scheduling is a time-consuming and error-prone process, often resulting in conflicts and inefficiencies. An optimized timetable is crucial for smooth academic operations, ensuring efficient use of resources and fostering a positive learning environment for students and faculty. We address the challenge of university course scheduling by proposing an optimized time-table scheduling algorithm. This paper will identify suitable approaches to automate timetable generation, considering factors like lecturer availability, student groups, room capacity, and course requirements. Keeping track of all the different factors that affect things like course requirements, teacher availability, room capacity, and fair task distribution is hard. By working on slot-based scheduling methods, we hope to find ways to make the schedule work best for both students and teachers, which will make everyone happier and help them learn more. © 2024 IEEE.

A recommendation system is important in today’s world because it suggests many options to the user that may be useful or appealing. These kinds of recommending systems are used in many applications and devices to focus on delivering the advertisements to a specific set of people. Even the commercial and social network websites depend on the recommendation system as it helps to recommend on basis of user profiles. In this paper, we analyzed the open-source software GitHub, which is a mandatory tool for the developers as it helps them to connect and exchange their works with fellow developers. We have predicted and analyzed the spread of followers to a particular user based on their repository details and nature of relation. This system would be beneficial for the developer to approach or work with other users in the same domain. Nowadays, GitHub is one of the fast-growing platforms with millions of users sharing their projects and by implementing the recommender system helps the user to reduce their time in searching for the similar users. This recommendation system is tested on the real-time data of an existing GitHub user by implementing different concepts of social network analysis such as centrality measure, similarity measure, link prediction, triads, and natural language processing concept stemming. © 2024, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

This research outlines a method for monkeypox virus classification from images, emphasizing the effective management of augmented datasets to ensure balanced class distribution and provide a robust foundation for model training. The study harnesses the capabilities of advanced pre-trained deep learning models, specifically ResNet50, EfficientNetB3, and DenseNet169, utilizing transfer learning techniques to adapt them to the task at hand. Techniques such as batch normalization and dropout are used to reduce overfitting and improve the generalization capacity of the models. Then, using the optimizer and categorical cross-entropy loss, these models are fine-tuned for monkeypox virus classification. One noteworthy addition is the inclusion of interactive learning, which gives users dynamic control over the training process by enabling them to intervene at predetermined intervals. Performance metrics such as accuracy, confusion matrix are used in the evaluation of the model. In order to guarantee a trustworthy evaluation of the models' performance, an independent test dataset is utilized. The most impressive accomplishment is the ensemble learning method, which combines the predictions from all three models,ResNet50,EfficientNetB3 and DenseNet169 with a simple averaging procedure. The classification report shows that this all-encompassing methodology consistently produces excellent results, with precision, recall, and F1-score consistently exceeding 0.97. In a time when healthcare challenges are constantly changing, this method shows promise as a useful tool for image-based diagnosis. © 2024 IEEE.

In the field of assistive technologies, innovative solutions that cater to the needs of individual with disabilities are paramount for fostering inclusive communication environments. The proposed work introduces an innovative real-time speech-to-text conversion system using holographic display technology to aid communication for the deaf and hard-of-hearing (DHH). The system incorporates two complementary speech recognition approaches as each contribute uniquely to improve the system's overall performance and accuracy in different ways and also reduce the latency. First approach is a conventional speech recognition module and another is an enhanced version of the Wav2vec2 model, which has been retrained to improve its efficacy with diverse speech patterns. Hosted on a Raspberry Pi and interfaced with an USB microphone, the system captures spoken language effectively. Upon recognition, the text is instantly displayed on a holographic screen made up of LED matrices and set against an acrylic glass surface, creating a visually engaging representation of floating text. The integration of these two recognition methods enhances the system's accuracy and reliability in processing real-time speech. By providing a visual output of spoken words, this system not only bridges communication gaps but also enriches the interaction experience within various social and professional settings. The application of holographic technology in this context is pioneering, offering substantial promise for developing accessible communication tools that are both functional and inclusive. This work underscores the potential of advanced display and speech processing technologies to transform interactions for individuals with hearing impairments, fostering greater inclusivity and engagement in everyday communications. © 2024 IEEE.

Financial fraud poses a major threat to financial service institutions and clients, necessitating advanced anomaly detection capabilities. This paper delves into related deep learning models which can be be used to differentiate and detect fraudulent transactions from normal transactions and flag anomalies. Challenges include evolving attack strategies, class imbalance, and model interpret-ability. The proposed methods utilize of a synergistic combination of ensemble learning techniques and unsupervised deep neural networks, like autoencoders and recurrent neural networks. The outcomes exhibit reliable results on credit card transaction datasets. A comprehensive comparative analysis follows to compare the proposed approach to traditional fraud detection methods, demonstrating its superiority in accurately identifying fraudulent transactions, adapting to emerging threats, handling high-dimensional data, and mitigating class imbalances with respect to data privacy and security. © 2024 IEEE.

Digital transformation has influenced organizations’ operations significantly. However, non-compliance with cybersecurity policy (CSP) is a growing concern for organizations. Technology alone cannot protect organizational cyber assets such as computer systems, networks, and data. Human aspects should be considered when designing and implementing a CSP. The lack of effective CSP training and awareness programs (CSPTAP) is attributable to employees’ non-compliance with the CSP. This paper aims to develop a framework to enhance employees’ compliance with the CSP by implementing effective CSPTAP. Drawing from the present literature and reflecting on the existing behavior change wheel (BCW) framework, and capability, opportunity, motivation, and behavior (COM-B) model, the cybersecurity policy compliance (CSPC) framework is developed. The CSPC framework comprises the following key concepts: learning existing policies, conducting employees’ gap analysis, reviewing existing policies/developing new policies, provision of relevant content and delivery mode, and periodic auditing. These key concepts are essential elements in cybersecurity policy compliance. The model indicates that the implementation of the essential elements will substantially influence employees’ compliance with CSP. Moreover, when organizations consider these key elements, cybersecurity policy training and awareness, can positively enhance employees’ CSP compliance. Crowdsourcing platforms have become essential tools for managing various tasks, relying on distributed labour practices to enhance productivity and goal achievement. However, they often encounter challenges such as unemployment and low-quality task submissions, impeding project effectiveness. Timely resolution of these issues is crucial for project momentum. To address these challenges, we propose a predictive model based on machine learning techniques. Our framework aims to anticipate mistakes and optimize workload reallocation within community spaces. Leveraging state-of-the-art algorithms, our system analyzes employee behaviours, task features, and platform dynamics to detect problematic situations early. Moreover, we introduce a dynamic reallocation technique to expedite project duration while minimizing delays. This method automatically reassigns tasks to alternative tasks. The experimentation results exhibit that our framework has shown that it is better than other methods at accurately detecting failures and reassigning tasks. Furthermore, our framework's adaptability enables its application across various crowd-sourcing fields, including data annotation and content moderation. Described as a proactive response to failures within crowd-sourcing platforms, our predictive framework offers a promising solution to enhance project efficiency. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

In Today scenario , Android is one of the most frequently used mobile operatings systems, thus it is a priority for advanced threat actors and hackers. Malicious code is often found in Android applications to which security solutions have a problem of identifying the threats. Today's Android malware is sophisticated enough that it can avoid most ***, machine learning is more efficient in stopping a large number of diverse contemporary threats to Android devices. These machine learning methods essentially first rely on the detection of sequential patterns of malicious behaviors, and secondly, distinguish between existing and new types of threats that have previously exhibited typical and atypical behavior. Our proposed approach builds on Ensemble learning where the methods include Support Vector Machines, Decision Trees, Logistic regression and XGBoost to bolster the detection abilities of the model. This methodology serves to enhance the specific model performance on identifying known malware. © 2024 IEEE.

The domain of cross compiler development pertains to the process wherein code written in one programming language is translated to another so that it may be compatible with another environment and may take advantage of the benefits of the other platform. This work aims at constructing a cross-language compiler to convert code of MATLAB to Python. Therefore, higher performance language and a powerful matrix operation library NumPy and a robust visualization library matplotlib is used in this research. The system is named as Mat2py, and it works efficiently in translation. Difficulties are to resolve issues related to the syntactic and semantic differences in the languages, overcome numeric imprecisions, and ensure the coherence of data structures and libraries. These complications are responded in this work by using NumPy and matplotlib of Python to transplant all the functionality accessible in MATLAB. Mat2py, therefore, ensure a correct and optimal conversion process through an analysis of the MATLAB function to its equivalent Python version and testing individual functions. ©2024 IEEE.

This paper introduces a novel topic modeling framework that integrates graph-based representations with BERT embeddings to enhance semantic understanding and structural analysis of document collections. Traditional methods often struggle to capture the interplay between document relationships and semantic context. We address this by constructing a document graph based on co-citation, co-reference, or semantic similarity, and augment it with BERT embeddings. Through fusion techniques, we combine these representations, resulting in improved topic coherence and interpretability. Extensive tests across various datasets show our method effectively identifies hidden topics and improves tasks like summarizing text and finding information. Our approach uses BERT and a graph-based topic model © 2024 IEEE.
