The integration of blockchain and federated learning exhibits a highly synergistic relationship. In response to the limitations of existing unmanned surface vehicles in complex marine environments, where they often fail to meet the requirements for extended endurance, broad operational range, offshore missions, and prolonged operational durations, an autonomous Unmanned Surface Vehicle (NUSV) has been designed and developed. The NUSV is propelled by wind, solar, and wave energy sources. Concerning wind energy, a micro wind energy storage mechanism based on a spiral spring has been designed to enable power generation in low-wind conditions. A wave energy transmission device, complete with a dynamic model, has been devised for wave energy. This device converts torque generated from wave action in different directions into a unified torque, providing continuous power to drive the generator. Solar energy is harnessed using Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithms to ensure optimal operation of the solar panels. The electrical energy generated from these three natural sources is stored using Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) and DC-DC Boost converters. A programmable logic controller manages and allocates this stored electrical energy for the NUSV's equipment, including underwater propulsion systems, surface cameras, laser radar, GPS, and other electronic devices. This integration of wind, solar, and wave energy sources enables the NUSV to meet power demands, allowing for long-duration operations at sea, extended offshore missions, wide operational ranges, and prolonged mission durations. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Increasingly popular decentralized applications (dApps) with complex application logic incur significant overhead for executing smart contract transactions, which greatly limits public block chain performance. Pre-executing transactions off the critical path can mitigate substantial I/O and computation costs during execution. However, pre-execution does not yield any state transitions, rendering the system state inconsistent with actual execution. This inconsistency can lead to deviations in pre-execution paths when processing smart contracts with multiple state-related branches, thus diminishing pre-execution effectiveness. In this paper, we develop Seer, a novel public block chain execution engine that incorporates fine-grained branch prediction to fully exploit pre-execution effectiveness. Seerpredicts state-related branches using a two-level prediction approach, reducing inconsistent execution paths more efficiently than executing all possible branches. To enable effective reuse of pre execution results, Seer employs checkpoint-based fast-path execution, enhancing transaction execution for both successful and unsuccessful predictions. Evaluations with realistic block chain workloads demonstrate that Seer delivers an average of 27.7× transaction-level speedup and an overall 20.6× speedup in the execution phase over vanilla Ethereum, outperforming existing block chain execution acceleration solutions. © 2025, VLDB Endowment, All rights reserved.

Nowadays, people spend a lot of time in travel, and road safety has become an important area of research. As a result, self-driving cars have been gaining popularity in recent years because they have a lot of benefits in terms of reducing traffic congestion and improving road safety, thereby reducing accidents. They also have an environmental benefit as they reduce travel times and hence reduce the usage of fuel. Though a lot of research has already been done in this field, there are always new problems being created and new solutions being found. Apart from self-driving cars, automated navigation also has a huge number of applications. Therefore, it is important to stay up to date about the latest developments in this field. This research is a comprehensive survey that explores and evaluates the different object-detecting algorithms that have been used throughout the years, their advantages, disadvantages, and trade-offs. It also analyses the datasets and benchmarks that have been used for evaluating the models. Methods based on dynamically expanding architectures can effectively mitigate catastrophic forgetting in class incremental learning (CIL), but they often overlook information sharing and integration between subnetworks, leading to performance degradation and increased parameter count and memory consumption as the network expands. To address these complex issues, we introduce a new method called Task Separation and Knowledge Sharing (TSKS), which transfers knowledge at both the logical and feature levels through Hybrid Knowledge Distillation (HKD). In logical distillation, we combine Global Knowledge Distillation (GKD) and Task Knowledge Distillation (TKD) to establish connections between tasks. To prevent the model from favoring new classes, we design an Attention- Based Feature Fusion (ABFF) mechanism to capture important features. Additionally, we introduce a Soft-Margin Auxiliary Loss (SMAL) to help the model learn new concepts. Extensive experiments show that TSKS outperforms existing models on CIFAR100 and ImageNet100, regardless of whether memory samples are used. Notably, TSKS demonstrates superior performance in memory-free settings, indicating a reduced reliance on rehearsal memory. © 2024 IEEE.

As an important task in multimodal information extraction, Multimodal Named Entity Recognition (MNER) has recently attracted considerable attention. One key challenge of MNER lies in the lack of sufficient fine-grained annotated data, especially in low-resource scenarios. Although data augmentation is a widely used technique to tackle the above issue, it is challenging to simultaneously generate synthetic text-image pairs and their corresponding high-quality entity annotations. In this work, we propose a novel Generative Multimodal data Augmentation (GMDA) framework for MNER, which contains two stages: Multimodal Text Generation and Multimodal Image Generation. Specifically, we first transform each annotated sentence into a linearized labeled sequence, and then train a Label-aware Multimodal Large Language Model (LMLLM) to generate the labeled sequence based on a label-aware prompt and its associated image. We further employ a Stable Diffusion model to generate the synthetic images that are semantically related to these sentences. Experimental results on three benchmark datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed GMDA framework, which consistently boosts the performance of several competitive methods for two subtasks of MNER in both full-supervision and low-resource settings. Cloud-based infrastructures often leverage virtualization, but its implementation can be expensive. Traditional coding methods can lead to issues when transitioning code from one computing environment to another. In response, the container paradigm emerged to offer cost-effective and agile delivery. Containers differ from full machine virtualization by compactly encapsulating the entire software and its dependencies. Leveraging containers, developers can create more secure and efficient applications. Docker, a prominent containerization platform, facilitates the execution of docker images. The Docker Hub serves as a popular repository for various images. Given the importance of application security, especially in the face of threats like malware, ransomware, and data breaches, ensuring robust security is imperative. The paper investigates vulnerabilities within Docker containers and proposes defensive strategies to mitigate potential breaches. In addition, it investigates attacks involving Docker sockets and suggests preventive measures for non-root users. © 2024 The Authors. Published by Elsevier B.V.

At present, LDA topic model, Word2Vec model and knowledge graph have been used to recommend doctors for online consultation, and have achieved certain results. However, the single word vector model will lead to some deficiencies in the recommendation results. In online consultation, patients have short questions and doctors have long answers, which is difficult to deal with uniformly. Therefore, this paper combines Sentence BERT sentence vector model, ELMO word vector model and doctor attribute model to build a set of combined recommendation model for intelligent doctor recommendation. In the empirical study, this paper chooses a large number of test patients as the research object. The results show that compared with the single word vector model, the combined recommendation model proposed in this paper is better in the accuracy rate, mean reciprocal rank and coverage rate of doctor recommendation. © 2023 IEEE.
