The detection of waste in underwater environments is a critical task for marine conservation, yet it poses significant challenges due to the complex and dynamic nature of these settings. Factors such as low visibility, varying light conditions, and diverse waste materials make traditional detection methods, like Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), less effective. To address these challenges, this research explores the application of Deep Vision Transformers (DVTs) for underwater waste detection. DVTs are particularly well-suited for this task due to their advanced features, including the ability to capture global contextual information and model long-range dependencies within an image. Unlike CNNs, which focus on local features, DVTs utilize self-attention mechanisms to effectively process and prioritize different parts of an image. This leads to robust feature extraction, which is crucial for accurately identifying waste in complex underwater environments. The Project employs techniques such as transfer learning and data augmentation to enhance the performance of DVTs on the limited datasets available for underwater imagery. Fine-tuning the model with labeled underwater images further improves detection accuracy.

High Quality Global Routing Algorithm Based on Multi-Stage Optimization

Global routing is a crucial step in VLSI physical design. To address the problems that the low utilization rate of capacity and easy to fall into local optimum in the existing global routing algorithms, a high-quality global routing algorithm based on multi-stage optimization is proposed. First, the virtual capacity dynamic adjustment strategy is introduced in the pre-connection stage and the routing reorganization stage to improve the utilization rate of capacity. Then, in the routing reorganization stage, the routing subarea adaptive expansion strategy is proposed to narrow the search space and improve the routing efficiency. Finally, the A* algorithm heuristic search is combined with the global search capability of the particle swarm algorithm to avoid the algorithm to choose the shortest path in the routing process, and thus avoid the algorithm to fall into the local optimum. Experimental results comparing with existing global routing algorithms on ISPD benchmark circuits show that the routing results of proposed algorithm reduce the wirelength by 6.0% to 22.8%. © 2024 Institute of computing Technology. Explore-Construct-Filter: An Automated Framework for Rich and Reliable API Knowledge Graphs

The API Knowledge Graph (API KG) is a structured network that models API entities and their relations, providing essential semantic insights for tasks such as API recommendation, code generation, and API misuse detection. However, constructing a knowledge-rich and reliable API KG presents several challenges. Existing schema-based methods rely heavily on manual annotations to design KG schemas, leading to excessive manual overhead. On the other hand, schema-free methods, due to the lack of schema guidance, are prone to introducing noise, reducing the KG’s reliability. To address these issues, we propose the Explore-Construct-Filter framework, an automated approach for API KG construction based on large language models (LLMs). This framework consists of three key modules: 1) KG exploration: LLMs simulate the workflow of annotators to automatically design a schema with comprehensive type triples, minimizing human intervention;2) KG construction: Guided by the schema, LLMs extract instance triples to construct a rich yet unreliable API KG;3) KG filtering: Removing invalid type triples and suspicious instance triples to construct a rich and reliable API KG. Experimental results demonstrate that our method surpasses the state-of-the-art method, achieving a 25.2% improvement in F1 score. Moreover, the Explore-Construct-Filter framework proves effective, with the KG exploration module increasing KG richness by 133.6% and the KG filtering module improving reliability by 26.6%. NumbOD: A Spatial-Frequency Fusion Attack Against Object Detectors

With the advancement of deep learning, object detectors (ODs) with various architectures have achieved significant success in complex scenarios like autonomous driving. Previous adversarial attacks against ODs have been focused on designing customized attacks targeting their specific structures (e.g., NMS and RPN), yielding some results but simultaneously constraining their scalability. Moreover, most efforts against ODs stem from image-level attacks originally designed for classification tasks, resulting in redundant computations and disturbances in object-irrelevant areas (e.g., background). Consequently, how to design a model-agnostic efficient attack to comprehensively evaluate the vulnerabilities of ODs remains challenging and unresolved. In this paper, we propose NumbOD, a brand-new spatial-frequency fusion attack against various ODs, aimed at disrupting object detection within images. We directly leverage the features output by the OD without relying on its internal structures to craft adversarial examples. Specifically, we first design a dual-track attack target selection strategy to select high-quality bounding boxes from OD outputs for targeting. Subsequently, we employ directional perturbations to shift and compress predicted boxes and change classification results to deceive ODs. Additionally, we focus on manipulating the high-frequency components of images to confuse ODs' attention on critical objects, thereby enhancing the attack efficiency. Our extensive experiments on nine ODs and two datasets show that NumbOD achieves powerful attack performance and high stealthiness. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

We propose a novel recurrent variational network, SegMorph, to perform concurrent segmentation and motion estimation on cardiac cine magnetic resonance image (CMR) sequences. Our model establishes a recurrent latent space that captures spatiotemporal features from cine-MRI sequences for multitask inference and synthesis. The proposed model follows a recurrent variational auto-encoder framework and adopts a learnt prior from the temporal inputs. We utilise a multi-branch decoder to handle bi-ventricular segmentation and motion estimation simultaneously. In addition to the spatiotemporal features from the latent space, motion estimation enriches the supervision of sequential segmentation tasks by providing pseudo-ground truth. On the other hand, the segmentation branch helps with motion estimation by predicting deformation vector fields (DVFs) based on anatomical information. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method performs better than state-of-the-art approaches qualitatively and quantitatively for both segmentation and motion estimation tasks. We achieved an 81% average Dice Similarity Coefficient (DSC) and a less than 3.5 mm average Hausdorff distance on segmentation. Meanwhile, we achieved a motion estimation Dice Similarity Coefficient of over 79%, with approximately 0.14% of pixels displaying a negative Jacobian determinant in the estimated DVFs. IEEE

Brain tumours may cause neurologic impairment, cognitive and mental disorders, elevated intracranial pressure and convulsions, which may be associated with a serious health hazard. The You Only Look Once (YOLO) system has been demonstrated to be highly accurate when it comes to detecting objects in medical imaging. A new SCC-YOLO structure is proposed, which combines SCConv with YOLOv9. The SCConv module improves the performance of the convolutional neural network, which improves the performance of the system. In this paper, we investigate the impact of YOLOv9 on the Br35H dataset (Brain_Tumor_dataset) Results indicate that SCC-YOLO improved mAP50 by 0.3% on the Br35H dataset and by 0.5% on our custom dataset compared to YOLOv9. SCC-YOLO achieves state-of-the-art performance in brain tumor detection.

The air quality index (AQI) is a metric used to report air quality levels. There has been a substantial rise in the level of air pollution in Indian cities. Multiple methodologies exist for formulating a mathematical equation to ascertain the air quality index. Multiple studies have established a correlation between exposure to air pollution and negative health effects in the general population. The objective of this study is to determine the optimal approach for predicting AQI in order to aid in climate regulation. Nine separate Machine learning (ML) algorithms have been employed in the suggested study to ascertain the AQI. The use of the SMOTE algorithm in the datasets in ML resulted in improved accuracy when comparing the outcomes. Furthermore, all of the implementations have been thoroughly documented using graphs and metrics, which clearly illustrate the differences in outcomes and aid in identifying the specific factors that led to the improvement in accuracy. © 2024 IEEE.

Recently,analyzing big data on the move is *** requires that the hardware resource should be low volume,low power,light in weight,high-performance,and highly scalable whereas the management software should be flexible and consume little hardware *** meet these requirements,we present a system named SOCA-DOM that encompasses a mobile system-on-chip array architecture and a two-tier“software-defined”resource manager named ***,we design an Ethernet communication board to support an array of mobile ***,we propose a two-tier software architecture for Chameleon to make it ***,we devise data,configuration,and control planes for Chameleon to make it“software-defined”and in turn consume hardware resources on ***,we design an accurate synthetic metric that represents the computational power of a computing *** employ 12 Apache Spark benchmarks to evaluate ***,SOCA-DOM consumes up to 9.4x less CPU resources and 13.5x less memory than Mesos which is an existing resource *** addition,we show that a 16-node SOCA-DOM consumes up to 4x less energy than two standard Xeon *** on the results,we conclude that an array architecture with fine-grained hardware resources and a software-defined resource manager works well for analyzing big data on the move.

Software systems often encounter various errors or exceptions in practice, and thus proper error handling code is essential to ensure the reliability of software systems. Unfortunately, error handling code is often bug-prone, while sufficiently testing them is challenging as such code often cannot be triggered under normal conditions. Motivated by this, recent studies have proposed to leverage software fault injection (SFI) based fuzzing to discover potential bugs in complicated error handling code. Despite the promising results achieved, their effectiveness and efficiency are still compromised in practice due to the huge search space of error sites, inadequate fuzzing guidance, and the overhead induced by context-sensitive SFI. To achieve effective and efficient testing of error handling code, this study presents AFL-FI, which first utilizes a similarity-based method to identify suspicious error sites, and then incorporates the idea of error site coverage to guide the fuzzing process. Finally, the design of lightweight context-sensitive SFI enables AFL-FI to execute test cases efficiently. We evaluate AFL-FI on eight large-scale open-source projects, and the results show that it can outperform existing state-of-the-art fuzzing tools significantly in terms of branch code coverage. More importantly, AFL-FI has discovered 13 previously unknown bugs, and all of them have been confirmed while 12 of them have been fixed. Besides, our evaluation also demonstrates that all the key designs of AFL- F I are effective that contribute significantly to its overall performance.

The formation of armored vehicle formation achievement and transforming are important research contents of vehicle formation control. Especially for the situation of unmanned armored vehicle formation. This paper combines the virtual navigator method and the behavior-based bait-predator method, and applies it to the formation achievement and transforming control of four unmanned armored vehicle formations. The target position is used as a bait to realize flexible transforming between linear, triangular and diamond formations. This method can prevent the formation leader from losing control due to the incapacitation of the formation leader, and does not specify the fixed position of the vehicle in the formation, which greatly guarantees the stability of the formation and the flexibility of formation transforming.
