Today, agriculture remains the most important economic activity in the world. Food care is a major concern for the whole society. For agriculture-based supply chain management, traceability is considered as the major requirement. Traceability helps in providing quality assurance and transparency to the end user. The antiquated traceability system has the complications of centralized systems, non-Transparency of information, unpredictable data, and the very easy formation of false data. The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that one out of ten people is affected by having tainted food. Globalization involving different food production processes and automation pushes the food supply chain into a complicated web. Numerous advancements have been investigated lately to determine food vulnerability and carry productivity to food related issues. One of the expected advances is block chain, which is as of now being effectively executed in monetary areas, for example, bit coin. Block chain can also be used in the food supply chain industries to improve traceability and help in the danger decrease of fakes and different types of unlawful occupation. This paper presents a systematic survey on agrifood supply chain traceability issues using various block chain platforms such as Ethereum and Hyperledger, as well as IOT techniques such as barcodes, RFID, NFC, and QR codes. The performance of several consensus algorithms is also investigated. © 2022 IEEE.

The security-constrained alternating current optimal power flow problem (SC-ACOPF) involves determining the minimum-cost operating conditions for power systems while ensuring system security. This problem is challenging due to its formulation as a large-scale, non-linear, and non-convex model, presenting difficulties for traditional optimization approaches. In this study, we introduce an approximate-and-optimize method to tackle the SC-ACOPF. We decompose the SC-ACOPF model into a two-stage problem formulation, where the first stage addresses the base case, and the second stage focuses on post-contingency decisions. To handle the complexity, we employ a neural network to approximate the objective cost associated with all contingencies. Subsequently, we optimize the first-stage problem after incorporating the neural network surrogate function. Computational experiments conducted on a 500-bus system showcase the effectiveness of our proposed framework. The results demonstrate its superior performance compared to baseline algorithms, achieving a remarkable 60% reduction in computational time and a 50% decrease in objective costs. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

Smart homes have surfaced as the coming wave of technological advancement. It is a collection of smaller systems connected to home network and comprising a variety of communication technologies which can assist inhabitants’ convenience, security, safety, and comfort. This paper examines several IoT based smart house approaches, which were divided as 2 categories depending on application: smart home security system and smart home automation. We explored several sensors, doors, and communication protocols utilized in IoT-based smart homes in this paper. Clever system that can look at pictures of fruits and figure out what kind of fruit each picture shows. AI algorithms like deep learning, which is like giving the Machine learning model a crash course in fruit recognition. This method teaches the ML Model we clearly explained the Model using application's agent using PEAS and the application's task environment using the 6 dimensions by showing it tons of fruit images, so over time, it gets really good at spotting the differences and similarities between, say, a banana and a grape. We also used another technique called pattern recognition, which helps the computer pay attention to specific details like the fruit's color, shape, size and texture. Overcoming multiple obstacles in order to automatically identify the type of fruit from the picture. The variety of images is influencing the color, texture, and shape of many different types of fruits. When it came to fruit picture detection, Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) Algorithm outperformed standard support-vector-machine-based approaches using handcrafted features in terms of accuracy also, it is a lot faster to implement for new fruits. By integrating deep learning and pattern recognition techniques such as Convolutional Neural Network Algorithm we have got the accuracy of 84%, our system efficiently identified different fruit types from images, demonstrating the power and effectiveness of our methods. The goal of our project is to create a tool that can quickly and correctly identify many types of fruits in photos, which could be useful for things like sorting fruits in a grocery store or helping people learn about different fruits by using Convolutional Neural Network Algorithm. This is not just about teaching a computer to recognize fruits;it is about making technology that can understand and interact with the world in a way that is helpful to us. © 2025 IEEE.

Communications have a crucial role in times of crisis, particularly in times of emergency. Whenever a region is affected by any disaster, social media sites such as Twitter, etc., are a great way to get information out to those who need it the most. Our paper suggests that in times of crisis, when people are worried about finding the right emergency contacts or are experiencing a transformation in their psychological response, they should manually enter their experience into an app to obtain contact information for the nearest SOS. Alternatively, the proposed application suggests scraping hashtags from around the world with web scraping scripts to retrieve geo-referenced tweets in real time. In order to gather accurate data, Twitter's API or some third-party application can be used in the development of this software. When there is a major crisis, social media user behavior plays a vital role, owing to its efficiency and high reliability with swift data dissemination. Anxiety over finding the right emergency team contact may cause people to lose their cool and become unclear about which authority they should call when an emergency occurs. Eventually, our application bridges the gap between clients in need of help and the approved agency that can really provide that support in different circumstances. In the case of, for example, a lost child or a flooded area, our application helps you get in touch with an organization that can assist you in dealing with the situation. We have used CNN-1-D + LSTM, CNN-1-D + Bi-LSTMs, and CNN-1-D + LSTM + Glove-100-D to get maximum accuracy for the classification model. It is possible to use the prototype solution in a novel way to organize immediate assistance with authorities in comprehensive administration, while integrating Twitter or other social platforms into the application can make it a feasible platform for preventive intervention and catastrophe management. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature

In order to promote the evaluation performance of deep learning infrared automatic target recognition (ATR) algorithms in the complex environment of air-to-air missile research, we proposed an analytic hierarchy process (AHP) evaluation system consisting of the target recognition ability, the generalization recognition ability, the anti-interference ability, the background suppression ability, and the cost metrics ability. According to detailed quantitative analysis and experimental results, we establish probability evaluation models and get their probability values. Compared with traditional evaluation systems, our proposed method implementation is showing high reliability. Similar superior performances are also achieved, such as quick, comprehensive, and scientific. Through the above research, the key technology of deep learning performance evaluation in automatic target recognition has been broken through, which provides some basis and guidance for the analysis of infrared imaging-guided weapon systems. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

In recent years, the cyber security scenario has transformed predominantly from conventional response-based security mechanisms to proactive security strategies. And this transformation is still continuing which is shifting it from proactive security strategies to cyber immunity which eliminates the cyber threats by introducing stringent and adaptive security measures. In the process of developing new security algorithms/procedures, accurate modelling and effective simulation play a vital role for the robustness and effectiveness of proposed system. It is also necessary to analyze the behaviour of proposed system against multiple types of known cyber attacks. This paper focuses on the existing network testbeds for an effective analysis and monitoring while proposing a new network testbed for examining new security concepts like cyber immunity. The proposed network testbed is designed to incorporate the methods and procedures of Nature-inspired Cyber Security to accommodate the adaptive responses against the sophisticated and ever-advancing cyber attacks. The proposed testbed provides customizable analytical tool to design, test and examine the new security algorithms through a rich set of attack scenarios. It also allows developers to design, implement, and evaluate their defensive techniques with library support. © 2021 River Publishers.

India, whose population growth is its greatest asset cannot afford to let its people eat confectionery that is either tainted or somehow polluted, since this would lead to extensive malnutrition. Traditional food supply chains are characterized by centralization and the problems associated with it such as having a single point of failure and producing inconsistent products while compromising the quality, along with data loss. With the need for daily reports in all regions of India regarding food fraud, contamination, and adulteration, a clearly advanced decentralized model is sought after for the creation of a supply chain. This paper introduces the supply chain network for the Indian confectionery market based on blockchain to better address quality claims, contamination, and transparency. This enables real-time traceability within the ecosystem, by using IoT strategies along with the Ethereum blockchain leading to better product authentication and resulting in higher consumer confidence. Blockchain creates a secure data tracking function, while smart contracts can be used to define the process - such as IoT monitoring of temperature. The united method enables verified data to be available to the consumer, energy efficiency, and trust across the supply chain. © 2024 IEEE.

Granular Sequential Three-Way Decision for Specific Decision Classes

Sequential three-way decision (S3WD) is an efficient granular computing paradigm for dealing with uncertain problems. However, it is primarily oriented to all decision classes, which contradicts the fact that decisions are typically for the specific decision classes. Meanwhile, most S3WD models hide the topological structure of the granules, leading to difficulties in semantic interpretation. To address the issues, integrating model construction, attribute reduction and knowledge extraction, a general framework of granular sequential three-way decision (GrS3WD) for the specific decision classes is proposed to improve semantic interpretation and computational efficiency. First, a two-stage trisecting strategy and a GrS3WD model are proposed to integrate model construction with attribute reduction. Its main advantage is that it retains the topological structure of granules, which not only enhances semantic interpretation but also avoids unnecessary double counting. Second, three acceleration strategies and a novel granular sequential three-way reduction (GrS3WR) algorithm are proposed to fast obtain a classification-based reduct or a class-specific reduct. Finally, the decision rules with multi-granularity can be directly extracted from the concept tree generated by GrS3WR. Experimental results demonstrate that a class-specific reduct usually has fewer attributes and better classification performance than a classification-based reduct. Moreover, GrS3WR can significantly improve the computational efficiency of attribute reduction. © 1993-2012 IEEE.
