The Internet of Things (IoT) is a network of interconnected objects, which congregate and exchange gigantic amounts of data. Usually, predeployed embedded sensors sense this massive data. Soon, several applications of IoT are anticipated to exploit emerging 6G technology. Healthcare is one of them, where the 6G-inspired paradigm may facilitate the users to exchange information through hundreds of sensors under the assumption of Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT). Integration of medical sensors with AIoT is known as Artificial Intelligence of Medical Things (AIoMT). The secure and seamless interactions among 6G-enabled AIoMT users should be the primary challenge. Furthermore, resource-constrained wearable sensing devices, with their inability to execute complex security solutions, provide an ideal attraction for malicious entities to launch diverse attacks. These challenges have motivated us to design a cost-effective authenticated solution (CAS) for 6G-enabled AIoMT healthcare applications. Our CAS protocol not only prevents cyber threats like impersonation session key secrecy but it can also prevent physical threats like hardware tampering. We observe formal and informal security validations to endorse its robustness and effectiveness. Performance comparison reveals that the CAS protocol offers maximum security enrichment. Moreover, CAS is cost-effective as it has achieved 33% and 60% reduction in computation and communication overheads, respectively, compared to contemporary competing related protocols. © 2014 IEEE.

In the context of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), the role of vehicle detection and classification is indispensable for streamlining transportation management, refining traffic control, and conducting in-depth accident analyses. However, the intricate task of accurately detecting multi-oriented vehicles in diverse scenarios remains a challenge, even with the advancements in ITS. Factors such as vehicle morphology, design, road conditions, structural details, and climatic variables provide a significant part in the detection. To address this, our study introduces an advanced YOLOv8n model, specifically the YOLOv8n-CGW, which is built upon pre-trained deep learning frameworks. This model is meticulously tailored to enhance the detection capabilities for multi-oriented vehicles. Comprehensive evaluations on esteemed datasets like MtV, MERGED, Custom dataset, DAWN, WEDGE, and UA-DETRAC underscore the superiority of our approach over existing models. Notably, our YOLOv8n-CGW model achieves a remarkable mAP of 83.3% and boasts a swift inference time of 0.0019s, setting a new benchmark in the domain. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

One of the main challenges facing businesses migrating to the cloud is getting an estimate of their costs in advance. The estimators available to date allow companies to compare the different virtual machine offerings from each operator, but only venture very slightly into estimating the overall cost, which includes operational and network costs. Existing estimators include operational costs in their estimates, but almost no one considers the network cost, which is a complex but far from negligible component. In this paper, we seek to address this issue by proposing a new estimator called PricingTheCloud. It is an estimator that enables companies to have an accurate estimate of their costs in advance. Unlike other estimators, PricingTheCloud considers network costs in the cost estimation. Its evaluation shows an average accuracy of 86.73% for compute costs and 65.44% for network costs in different AWS-to-AWS scenarios as compared to AWS invoices and shows the effectiveness of the proposed estimator compared to three other cloud costs estimators namely, Cloudorado, Holori, and Vantage. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

Generalizing deep learning for all requires individual self-assessment. However, the quality of ground-truth labels depends on the annotators’ self-awareness. Real-world datasets inevitably experience the Concept Shift problem. Recent advances in Out-of-distribution (OOD) detection have received much attention due to its ability to alleviate distribution shift problems by distinguishing between anomalous and in-distribution(ID) data samples. Existing approaches underlie pre-trained ID models learned with class-balanced data. However, this assumption makes the methods incapable when the ID models are trained with inter- and intra-class variance depending on user characteristics, such as gender, culture, and genetics. We present an OOD detection framework. Our system builds a generalized ID model by extracting high-quality data from high-dimensional neural activities considering individuals’ cognitive and perceptional ability to evaluate self-assessments. The proposed system detects and removes abnormal pairs of data and labels to enhance model performance by considering the maximum softmax probability approach. Experimental results on public EEG datasets in emotion recognition demonstrate the superiority of our method despite the non-stationary nature of EEG signals. Broadband light detection and sensing are widely applied in modern *** a promising candidate for next-generation two-dimensional(2D)optoelectronic material,bismuth oxyselenide(Bi_(2)O_(2)Se)nanoplates exhibit many prospects in the application of visible light detection due to their peculiar *** this work,we report the photodetection performance of single-crystal 2D Bi_(2)O_(2)Se nanoplates grown on SiO_(2)based on a ternary-alloy growth model by utilizing chemical vapor deposition(CVD).The Bi_(2)O_(2)Se nanoplates were found to have an even and uniform square shape with side lengths up to 15μm and an approximate thickness of 15 nm.A visible-light photodetector was fabricated based on a CVD-grown Bi_(2)O_(2)Se nanoplate,and characterized by a set of illumination experiments using a 400 nm laser at temperatures ranging from 77 to 370 *** device exhibited superior performance at the temperature of 77 K,with a responsivity of 523 A/W,a specific detectivity of 1.37×10^(11)Jones,a response time of 0.2175 ms,an external quantum efficiency of 162,119.44%,resulting in high-quality and fullcolor imaging in the visible *** results indicate that the single-crystalline Bi_(2)O_(2)Se nanoplates have excellent potential in broadband photodetection and non-cryogenic imaging.

Liver disease begins in the ovaries and is especially hazardous for women. As a result, abnormal cells can potentially spread to other organs. Liver disease is a type of dangerous development that affects the ovaries in females, and it is difficult to detect at an early stage, which is why it remains one of the leading causes of death from disease. Unquestionable confirmation of intrinsic and natural components is crucial for the development of novel systems to detect and eliminate hazard. We propose the detection and categorization of liver illness in ultrasound pictures using hybrid machine learning techniques. Using Machine Learning Algorithms and a vote-based classifier to classify liver tissues as fatty or normal based on ultrasound picture attributes and voting. Our created method provides four major contributions: first, the classification of liver pictures as normal or fatty is performed without a segmentation phase. Secondly, compared to our suggested effort, the datasets in earlier works were inadequate. The third contribution is a collection of 26 characteristics. On the basis of the presented methods, sigmoid radial basis function neural network (SRBFNN) and Gray-Level Co-Occurrence Matrix are the recovered features (GLCM). The fourth contribution is the voting classifier that is utilised to determine the type of liver tissue. Fruit Fly Optimization concludes the categorization process (FFO). We have achieved a classification accuracy of 98.24% using our proposed approach. Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), Support Vector Machine (SVM), K-Nearest Neighbour (KNN), Random Forest (RF), and Naive Bayes are compared with our proposed system (NB). The experimental results demonstrate that the classification accuracy of our suggested system is superior to that of the leading classification strategies. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

In the dynamic landscape of cloud computing, efficient resource allocation and workload prediction are paramount for optimizing infrastructure utilization, cost management, and overall service quality. As a result, an efficient resource management approach involves pooling available resources among many customers in a manner that considers their energy usage, SLAs, and forecasting accuracy all at once. Based on the performance analysis results, it is determined that integrating these techniques would result in the most efficient and adaptable cloud data centre. We proposed a Model based on Deep Convolutional Neural Networks (DCNN) and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) for handling SLAs in the cloud from both the perspective of consumers and service providers. Subsequently, we delve into the methodology of applying deep CNN and LSTM models to the problem of workload prediction in cloud environments. This methodology encompasses data preprocessing, model architecture, training parameters, and the choice of performance metrics. To anticipate CPU consumption from time series data and detect SLA violations, we suggested a DCNN-LSTM model. The accuracy prediction, energy usage, CPU use, and Service Level Agreement monitoring are all a part of this model. The proposed method is effective in helping cloud providers cut down on service violations and associated fines. Regarding the composite metric of Energy SLA Violation, which assesses the combined aspects of energy use and adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs), DCNN-LSTM surpasses ARIMA-LSTM, CNN, LSTM, and ARIMA 6.8%, 10.88%, 16.6%, and 22.4%, respectively. © 2024 Elsevier B.V.. Error creeps into text in various ways. Typing error may come due to either mis-typing or due to poor language expertise. Similarly, recognition technologies while converting textual images and speech into text may generate error due to their limitations. Irrespective of the channel of error induction, presence of error poses a huge challenge for downstream consumption of such textual content. Additionally, error present in Indian language textual documents come with their own set of issues. This necessitates focused study on the textual errors in Indian language documents and the various technologies which may be employed to eliminate *** work proposes to employ mT5, a very popular deep learning based multi-lingual language model, to eliminate errors present in Kannada, an Indian Language, text. A pretrained model of mT5 is enhanced with transfer learning for a Kannada dataset. The ability of the enhanced mT5 model to reduce error is studied at various levels of noise. Character Error Rate (CER) is employed as the metric. It's observed that the enhanced mT5 model is effectively able to reduce noise by 12% for input text with 25% CER. © 2023 IEEE.
