Cervical cancer is a major health concern for women worldwide, and early detection is essential for successful treatment. Since symptoms often do not appear until later stages, early screening is necessary. Machine learning can help classify cervical cancer risk by analyzing patient datasets and identifying the important factors that predict the likelihood of emerging cervical cancer. This paper evaluates six different machine-learning approaches for analyzing risk factors associated with cervical cancer using a dataset of 838 instances with 36 features. Results show that the SVM classifier performs the best, with an accuracy of 99.60% which emphasize the possibility of utilizing machine learning to enhance the precision of cervical cancer risk assessment. This can result in the development of better screening and prevention techniques for cervical cancer, which can be more effective in identifying and managing this disease. © 2023 IEEE.

The brain activity can be represented by EEG, which does it by measuring voltage fluctuations in the brain. in this paper, the work intends to develop a Brain-computer Interface-based system that can identify and forecast the class of motor action corresponding to the left or right direction. There are two datasets used in this study, relating to motor movements - left/right-hand movement and eye open/close. The collected data is pre-processed by applying a Convolution Neuron Network to obtain a frequency domain matrix. The result computed by applying CNN provides a condensed representation of the data. The second dataset captured brain impulses corresponding to two states of the eyes opened and eyes closed, over a period of two minutes. This system is designed to effectively separate and utilize signals, with the adoption of AI techniques in these devices emerging as the most viable option for Society. The overall efficiency of this system ranges from 80% to 87%. © 2024 IEEE.

The rise of autonomous vehicles has generated substantial interest due to their potential to transform transportation, enhance safety, and reduce traffic congestion in urban areas. This research investigates strategies to facilitate communication among various elements in driving environments, such as vehicles, pedestrians, and emergency responders, primarily focusing on vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) communication. Furthermore, advancements in wireless technology, including 6G and millimetre waves, offer improved connectivity but face challenges in signal propagation. The study emphasizes the importance of beam-forming as a solution, exploring alternative, resource-efficient methods to predict optimal signal directions using user positions. Positive simulation results suggest real-world applicability, and the study addresses critical questions about utilizing future positions and their impact on overhead complexity. This research provides valuable insights into position-based approaches for enhancing wireless communication in autonomous driving scenarios. © 2024 IEEE.

Millimeter wave (mmWave) multiple-input-multi-output (MIMO) is now a reality with great potential for further improvement. We study full-duplex transmissions as an effective way to improve mmWave MIMO systems. Compared to half-duplex systems, full-duplex transmissions may offer higher data rates and lower latency. However, full-duplex transmission is hindered by self-interference (SI) at the receive antennas, and SI channel estimation becomes a crucial step to make the full-duplex systems feasible. In this paper, we address the problem of channel estimation in full-duplex mmWave MIMO systems using neural networks (NNs). Our approach involves sharing pilot resources between user equipments (UEs) and transmit antennas at the base station (BS), aiming to reduce the pilot overhead in full-duplex systems and to achieve a comparable level to that of a half-duplex system. Additionally, in the case of separate antenna configurations in a full-duplex BS, providing channel estimates of transmit antenna (TX) arrays to the downlink UEs poses another challenge, as the TX arrays are not capable of receiving pilot signals. To address this, we employ an NN to map the channel from the downlink UEs to the receive antenna (RX) arrays to the channel from the TX arrays to the downlink UEs. We further elaborate on how NNs perform the estimation with different architectures, (e.g., different numbers of hidden layers), the introduction of non-linear distortion (e.g., with a 1-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC)), and different channel conditions (e.g., low-correlated and high-correlated channels). In this paper, we thoroughly examine the fundamental part which is Parts-Of-Speech (POS) Tagging of Natural Language Processing (NLP), especially. Our examination revolves around Hidden Markov Models (HMMs) usage to face up to this crucial element of language comprehension. Starting with the fundamental principles of the NLP, we go through its history after that, and we explore the inner workings of the N-gram Models and the Markov Models with a more detailed view finally in Hidden Markov Models. We meticulously uncover approaches used in POS Tagging preparation, so that we can get down to the in-depth methodological part of the journey. The intricate workings of Viterbi Algorithm and Maximum Entropy Markov Models will be clarified in the methodology section as they are keystone in our POS Tagging exploits. By performing highly standardized experimentation, we check the competence of HMMs in POS tagging, separately with CRFs (Conditional Random Fields). Ultimately, the report is a comprehensive description of the use of Hidden Markov Models in POS Tagging, that presents the applications, theoretical and practical bases, and the implications in the area of natural language understanding. © 2024 IEEE.

In the new age of artificial intelligence (AI) and digitalisation, English proficiency is a very significant need for any individual to strive in this digital world. In this work, the authors focus on developing an online virtual English tutor bot called 'Vidhya'. This platform aims to provide an accessible and interactive English learning platform for students aged 13 to 18 from rural areas of India. The platform is designed to improve the speaking and writing skills of learners at their own pace of learning. The platform is designed in several levels which give the user a similar experience to playing a game with levels. This is introduced to make the user feel achievement and motivation to use the system. The system gives students the freedom to make mistakes and repeat the process until they learn and gain a retention threshold to move to the next level. The software platform is intended to support the rural Indian student community in learning English and propel them to pursue their academic and employment opportunities. The design features an intelligent feedback system wherein the software listens to the learners and provides feedback to them pointing out where they have to improve. © 2025 IEEE.

Forest fires and extreme wildfire events pose a major threat to ecosystems worldwide. This paper implements various machine learning algorithms for the prediction of forest fires in Northern Thailand, a region which is severely impacted by fire events and the resulting pollution. Using publicly available satellite data of fires and weather information, two prediction models, namely the Random Forest and Support Vector Machines, were developed and tested for their accuracy in forecasting forest fire occurrences. Initial results indicate that both models have an accuracy of approximately 60% in predicting forest fires. The real-time prediction data based on current weather conditions is further displayed in a dashboard. The online dashboard has been integrated with Project FIREfly which is a collaboration with Chiang Mai University and the University of Glasgow to visualize real-time data of forest fires. Through the integration of the predictive models, the online dashboard is able to show the probability of forest fires which improves situational awareness for emergency response services and enables them to take proactive measures in managing forest fires. © 2025 SPIE.
