Emotion recognition is an emerging field of research and modalities like images, videos, speech, text, physiological signals, and EEG are used for the same. In this work, EEG based emotion recognition has been proposed using deep learning models. The recognition of emotion from EEG has attracted a lot of interest and has been applied in numerous fields, particularly in health, technology, and computing. In this work, two methods are proposed for emotion recognition from EEG signals, viz., a signal-based approach and an image conversion approach. the accuracy achieved by the models CNN+GRU, 2D- CNN and LSTM are 96.54%, 90.58%, and 87%, respectively. This work also addresses some of the issues related to model deployment, how to deal with logical and causal relations, and how to implement the outcomes in a real-time environment. © 2024 IEEE.

Conventional cradles lack the ability to monitor and support infants continuously or adapt to varying needs. This study proposes a novel smart cradle equipped with advanced sensors and actuators, enabling parents to control environmental factors in real time, thereby ensuring the highest levels of safety and comfort for infants. Unlike previous models, the smart cradle automatically responds to stimuli, such as an infant's cry, and allows for remote monitoring via the Blynk app. Comparative analysis demonstrates that the proposed smart cradle offers faster response times and greater accuracy in environmental control compared to recent models, establishing it as a new benchmark in infant care products. This innovation addresses the deficiencies of current cradle designs and represents a significant advancement in automated infant care systems, ultimately conserving caregivers' resources and improving overall infant care. © 2024 IEEE.

The primary objective of this study is to enhance query processing performance through the integration of sophisticated data reduction techniques within databases. Operating within the domain of in-database analytics, the focus is on evaluating efficient methods for traversing extensive data sets, expediting query processing, and deriving valuable insights using decomposition techniques, specifically QR decomposition. This study aims to achieve two primary goals: firstly, the implementation of decomposition techniques such as QR within a relational database using SQL as an operator, and secondly, the utilisation of column pivoting mechanisms on the reduced data for query recommendation. This amalgamation serves as an experimental pilot space for the innovative hypothesis of integrating query recommendation through the matrix factorization algorithm, QR factorization, using SQL. The core motivation behind the in-database approach for the query recommendation lies in the principle that analysing data where it resides is optimal for the most effective analysis. In this context, query recommendation within in-database analytics streamlines the process of data analysis and exploration by suggesting appropriate queries derived from user behaviour. This project aims to create a machine learning classification system that classifies solutions to quadratic equations into three different groups: 'Incorrect,' 'Partially Correct,' and 'Correct.' MathBERT and RoBERTa embeddings are utilized in this system. A multi-class classification technique is used by the system, with an emphasis on feature engineering, data preparation, and model selection. To improve model performance, methods like Principal Component Analysis (PCA), LIME (Local Interpretable Model-Agnostic Explanations), and ensemble meta models with Boosting, Voting, and Stacking are used. The efficacy of many classification models in correctly classifying quadratic solutions is examined in this work. To evaluate the performance of the model, evaluation measures including F1-score, accuracy, precision, and recall are used. The results show that MathBERT embeddings outperform RoBERTa embeddings. Ensemble models, especially those that include SVM and MLP classifiers, achieve the best performance, with the stacking approach yielding an accuracy of approximately 65%. This model accurately classifies solutions into the correct categories, demonstrating the potential for practical applications in mathematics education. © 2024 IEEE.

In the rapidly evolving field of information security, video steganography offers a promising solution for concealing sensitive data within multimedia content. The proposed approach introduces a novel approach that integrates video compression, audio embedding, and encryption to enhance security and efficiency in information transmission. The method follows a three-stage process, H.264 video compression to reduce file size, audio embedding using Least Significant Bit (LSB) steganography to conceal data within video frames, and Galois/Counter Mode (GCM) encryption to ensure robust cryptographic protection. Key findings demonstrate that H.264 compression effectively reduces video size while maintaining quality, LSB embedding conceals audio with minimal visual impact, and GCM encryption provides robust protection against unauthorized access and tampering. This comprehensive method offers a viable solution for secure, covert information transmission in multimedia, addressing critical needs in modern information security by combining steganography, compression, and encryption for a more robust and efficient approach than traditional methods. © 2024 IEEE.

The increasing complexity of malware requires a more thorough comprehension of how they operate. Using the MITRE ATT&CK framework, this project delves into the TrickBot and AsyncRAT malwares, offering a thorough examination of their tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) across the cyber kill chain. This study uncovers trends in how these malicious software gain entry, carry out tasks, remain active, and extract information from a network by correlating TTPs with ATT&CK methods. Key analyses indicate that TrickBot utilizes elevated entropy values to avoid being detected, incorporates modular structures to enhance its capabilities, and utilizes spear-phishing and network spreading to achieve broad infection. AsyncRAT is found to employ sophisticated anti-analysis methods, reflective code loading, and achieves persistence by altering the system registry while avoiding sandbox environments. Additionally, it establishes command and control (C2) connections to maintain long-term access over compromised systems. The observations uncovered in this research emphasize the importance of having strong cybersecurity policies and comprehensive threat intelligence to combat changing threats effectively. Understanding the complex behaviours and evasion methods of these malwares is crucial for creating specific defences and improving security overall. ©2024 IEEE.

As the cyber threats areevolving, intrusions exploit vulnerabilities in software or systems and can occur 24/7, targeting individuals and *** Intrusion detection system (IDS) is designed to help in the detection of cyberattacks as a part of cybersecurity. Researchers are developing machine learning(ML) based IDS to detect the attacks in a network, and this has proven to be very effective. In this work, we propose a framework using various machine learning classifiers to classify different types of attack classes include benign, malicious and outlier on different sets of LUFlow intrusion detection data. Random Forest and Decision tree have outperformed with an accuracy of 91% on combined year data whileconsidering the individual years data, logistic regression performed less well than all other algorithms including ensemble *** study includes the examination of precision, recall, and F1 score metrics for each of the employed classification and ensemble methods. Additionally, the most accurate model has been subjected to model interpretability procedures, which have shown the notable characteristics that have a major impact on the categorization of classes. © 2024 IEEE.

In today's fast-paced world, efficient management of appointments is crucial for both service providers and consumers. Efficient appointment management is essential in the modern service industry to enhance both operational efficacy and client satisfaction. This project report presents the development of an Ambient Intelligent System (AIS) for Appointment Management designed to optimize the handling of appointments in dynamic environments. Utilizing Bluetooth technology, the AIS efficiently manages both scheduled and ad-hoc appointments by detecting user presence via ESP32 micro-controllers. This system dynamically adapts to changing conditions, prioritizing appointments based on real-time data to minimize wait times and enhance user experience. The comprehensive architecture includes mobile applications for users and administrative staff, backend services, and a robust database system to ensure real-time synchronization and responsiveness. This study evaluates the AIS's performance in streamlining appointment processes, demonstrating significant improvements over traditional methods in both efficiency and user satisfaction. © 2024 IEEE.
