In this paper the reversibility of executable Interval Temporal Logic (ITL) specifications is investigated. ITL allows for the reasoning about systems in terms of behaviours which are represented as non-empty sequences of states. It allows for the specification of systems at different levels of abstraction. At a high level this specification is in terms of properties, for instance safety and liveness properties. At concrete level one can specify a system in terms of programming constructs. One can execute these concrete specification, i.e., test and simulate the behaviour of the system. In this paper we will formalise this notion of executability of ITL specifications. ITL also has a reflection operator which allows for the reasoning about reversed behaviours. We will investigate the reversibility of executable ITL specifications, i.e., how one can use this reflection operator to reverse the concrete behaviour of a particular system. Electronic commerce, or people call it e-commerce, it refers to buying and selling products or services on the Internet and transferring money and data to carry out these transactions. More consumers are shifting from traditional transactions to e-commerce, as e-commerce becomes faster and cheaper. In contrast, electronic commerce provides more ease and variety in the composition of goods and services worldwide. E-commerce is the type of electronic business that has been in business for more than 25 years and is used by many users around the world. This research aims to shed light on the nature of electronic commerce and the difficulties it faces on the technical side. This research used descriptive methodology after gathering data from online and indexed research. The research also mentioned five of these obstacles, and how the Amazon overcomes them, and we will take a look at how the opportunities of the Amazon grow so that they have an effect called the Amazon effect, the research reached an important conclusion that eDesk is the leading help desk for online sellers, specifically designed to meet the exact requirements of e-commerce. The research also found solutions to some of the weaknesses faced by electronic commerce platforms. © 2021 IEEE.

As the global e-commerce landscape continues to expand rapidly, the efficiency and security of supply chains have become critical areas of concern. With the increasing reliance on digital platforms and the interconnected nature of supply chains, the vulnerability to cyber threats has escalated significantly. This research paper delves into the multifaceted domain of e-commerce supply chains with a primary focus on cyber-security considerations. The objective of this study is to assess the existing cyber-security measures and vulnerabilities within e-commerce supply chains while proposing effective strategies to mitigate potential risks. Through an extensive literature review, the paper highlights various cyber-security challenges faced by e-commerce enterprises, including data breaches, ransomware attacks, and supply chain disruptions caused by cyber-attacks on logistics partners. By analyzing real-world case studies and industry reports, the research provides valuable insights into the consequences of cyber-security lapses and their impact on supply chain resilience and consumer trust. The research also explores the technological advancements and best practices that can fortify e-commerce supply chains against cyber threats. It examines the role of encryption, multi-factor authentication, secure payment gateways, and cloud-based security solutions in safeguarding sensitive data and maintaining the integrity of supply chain operations. Additionally, the study investigates the importance of employee training and awareness programs to cultivate a cyber-security-oriented organizational culture. Furthermore, this paper considers the legal and regulatory aspects of cyber-security in the context of e-commerce supply chains. Quantum architecture search (QAS) has shown significant promise in automating quantum circuit design for variational quantum algorithms (VQAs). However, a central challenge remains in the high computational cost of evaluating the ground-truth performance of numerous circuit architectures during the search process. This challenge is further complicated by factors such as inefficient gradient computation, the barren plateau phenomenon, and frequent data exchange between classical and quantum systems within VQAs, all of which restrict the scalability of QAS for increasingly complex VQAs. In this study, we propose an enhanced QAS framework that integrates a performance predictor trained through self-supervised learning with Bayesian optimization to overcome these computational barriers. To address the challenges of circuit performance evaluation, we develop a graph-isomorphism-network-based predictor pretrained using expressibility prediction, an intrinsic measure of a circuit's capacity to explore the Hilbert space uniformly. This pretraining process creates a structured and smooth latent space, significantly improving the predictor's accuracy and generalizability with minimal labeled data. Furthermore, Bayesian optimization is integrated into the QAS framework to refine the predictor iteratively, concentrating the search on regions containing high-performance circuits and thus accelerating the search process. Simulation results for VQAs involving the variational quantum eigensolver and quantum approximate optimization algorithm demonstrate that the proposed framework achieves faster convergence to optimal circuits and substantially reduces computational costs compared to existing QAS methods.

Active and Assisted Living (AAL) systems have a purpose to improve the lives of older or impaired people in various aspects. However, the use of equipment for data acquisition in these systems can be considered intrusive in some cases. Although de-identification may provide the needed protection to some extent, it is not always preferred, as it could affect the quality and utility of any obtained data. It is therefore crucial to establish methodologies for protecting the privacy of those monitored and thus affected by AAL systems. The purpose of GoodBrother is to a) analyze any issues arising from the use of monitoring AAL systems, regarding the users' privacy; b) establish proper guidelines for the use of these systems; c) develop privacy-aware methodologies for data handling; d) increase the systems' robustness and reliability; e) create databases to use towards benchmarking. Each one of these objectives are handled by separate interdisciplinary working groups.

This study explores Blockchain technology in the global financial industry using trends analysis, bibliometric analysis, and a literature appraisal using Elsevier Scopus data from 2016 to 2023. The Blockchain in Finance (BCF) study produced 185 publications: 53.5% papers, 45.4% conference proceedings, and 1.1% reviews. Analysis of the subject area revealed three important Computer Science, Engineering, and Decision Sciences articles. However, source title analysis showed that ACM International Conference Proceeding Series, Sustainability Switzerland, and E3S Web of Conferences publish BCF research most often. According to the stakeholders study, Jon M. Truby and Qatar University (Qatar) are the top BCFin researchers and affiliations with 4% and % publications, respectively. China produces the most research on the topic. Due to active support from funding sources like the Chinese National Natural Science Foundation (NNSF), 18 publications have been funded. Co-occurrence of keywords The investigation indicated that BCFin’s top keywords include Blockchain, Finance, and Supply Chain Finance. Three clusters with 4–8 keywords, 132 linkages, and 866 TLS were found via cluster analysis. Keywords classify the clusters as Integrated Business Solutions (Cluster 1), Digital Commerce Infrastructure (Cluster 2), and Decentralized Financial Network (Cluster 3). The findings indicate that BCFin is a dynamic and influential multidisciplinary study field. BCFin has transformed the global financial sector by improving trust, transaction security, and communication. Working with organs and extracted tissue blocks is an essential task in many medical surgery and anatomy environments. In order to prepare specimens from human donors for further analysis, wet-bench workers must properly dissect human tissue and collect metadata for downstream analysis, including information about the spatial origin of tissue. The Registration User Interface (RUI) was developed to allow stakeholders in the Human Biomolecular Atlas Program (HuBMAP) to register tissue blocks-i.e., to record the size, position, and orientation of human tissue data with regard to reference organs. The RUI has been used by tissue mapping centers across the HuBMAP consortium to register a total of 45 kidney, spleen, and colon tissue blocks, with planned support for 17 organs in the near future. In this paper, we compare three setups for registering one 3D tissue block object to another 3D reference organ (target) object. The first setup is a 2D Desktop implementation featuring a traditional screen, mouse, and keyboard interface. The remaining setups are both virtual reality (VR) versions of the RUI: VR Tabletop, where users sit at a physical desk which is replicated in virtual space;VR Standup, where users stand upright while performing their tasks. All three setups were implemented using the Unity game engine. We then ran a user study for these three setups involving 42 human subjects completing 14 increasingly difficult and then 30 identical tasks in sequence and reporting position accuracy, rotation accuracy, completion time, and satisfaction. All study materials were made available in support of future study replication, alongside videos documenting our setups. We found that while VR Tabletop and VR Standup users are about three times as fast and about a third more accurate in terms of rotation than 2D Desktop users (for the sequence of 30 identical tasks), there are no significant differences between the three setups for position accuracy when normalized by the heigh

In this paper, a new 3D dynamical system with four quadratic nonlinear terms is presented. It is shown that the proposed chaotic system has two saddle-foci, unstable, equilibrium points. Thus, the proposed chaotic system exhibits self-excited chaotic attractors. Dynamical analysis methods such as Lyapunov exponents spectrum, bifurcation diagrams, and phase portraits are used to explore the complex dynamical behaviors of the proposed chaotic system and analyze its basic qualitative properties. It is shown that the maximal Lyapunov exponent (MLE) of the new chaotic system is 7.196, which is a high value. The proposed highly chaotic system exhibits high complexity and it will be very useful for applications in cryptography, encryption and secure communications. The physical feasibility of the proposed system is verified by implementing its electronic circuit schematic using Multisim software. Additionally, a PRNG has been developed using the derived state variables and analyze with NIST-800–22 test. Lastly, we developed a PRNG-based image encryption and employ it for an encryption. The experimental outcomes obtained prove that the 3D chaotic system-based encryption application presented in this section has a very good performance. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Disentangling quantum autoencoder

Entangled quantum states are highly sensitive to noise, which makes it difficult to transfer them over noisy quantum channels or to store them in quantum memory. Here, we propose the disentangling quantum autoencoder (DQAE) to encode entangled states into single-qubit product states. The DQAE provides an exponential improvement in the number of copies needed to transport entangled states across qubit-loss or leakage channels compared to unencoded states. The DQAE can be trained in an unsupervised manner from entangled quantum data. We demonstrate variational quantum algorithms for general states, and a Metropolis algorithm for stabilizer states. For particular classes of states, the number of training data needed to generalize is surprisingly low: For stabilizer states, DQAE generalizes by learning from a number of training data that scales linearly with the number of qubits, while only 1 training data is sufficient for states evolved with the transverse-field Ising Hamiltonian. Robustness modularity in complex networks

A basic question in network community detection is how modular a given network is. This is usually addressed by evaluating the quality of partitions detected in the network. The Girvan-Newman (GN) modularity function is the standard way to make this assessment, but it has a number of drawbacks. Most importantly, it is not clearly interpretable, given that the measure can take relatively large values on partitions of random networks without communities. Here we propose a new measure based on the concept of robustness: modularity is the probability to find trivial partitions when the structure of the network is randomly perturbed. This concept can be implemented for any clustering algorithm capable of telling when a group structure is absent. Tests on artificial and real graphs reveal that robustness modularity can be used to assess and compare the strength of the community structure of different networks. We also introduce two other quality functions: modularity difference, a suitably normalized version of the GN modularity;information modularity, a measure of distance based on information compression. Both measures are strongly correlated with robustness modularity, and are promising options as well. Copyright © 2021, The Authors. All rights reserved.
