In innovation world, fog and edge computing is extremely near the client which means making the processing capacities extremely nearer to the customer or user. The mushrooming of IoT devices and usage is increasing day by day. Huge amount of data will be generated by these connected devices. Thus, there is an indispensable need to process such heavy volume of data in a quick and efficient manner. In request to meet the above standards. In this paper the research challenges of fog and Edge computing, the role of fog computing in IoT, the working model and benefits of edge computing are given in a novel approach after a de tailed review, study and scrutiny. Scene Graph Generation (SGG) aims to detect all objects and identify their pairwise relationships existing in the scene. Considering the substantial human labor costs, existing scene graph annotations are often sparse and biased, which result in confusion training with low-frequency predicates. In this work, we design a Semi-Supervised Clustering framework for Scene Graph Generation (SSC-SGG) that uses the sparse labeled data to guide the generation of effective pseudo-labels from unlabeled object pairs, thus enriching the labeled sample space, especially for low-frequency interaction samples. We approach from the perspective of clustering, reducing the problem of confirmation bias in a self-training manner. Specifically, we first enhance the model’s robustness to feature extraction via prototype-based clustering, aggregating different relationship augmented features onto the same prototype. Secondly, we design a dynamic pseudo-label assignment algorithm based on a mini-batch, which adjusts the detection sensitivity to different frequency samples from the historical assignment. Finally, we conduct joint training on the pseudo-labels and the labeled data. We conduct experiments on various SGG models and achieve substantial overall performance improvements, demonstrating the effectiveness of SSC-SGG. Medical data sharing can provide secure, trust-worthy and high-quality health care services to a wide range of patients and healthcare providers, but the data sharing process faces the risk of identity and information security leakage. This study begins by examining access control technologies for health data sharing, emphasizing the analysis of blockchain-based solutions for securing various types of medical data. It reviews and assesses the current state of these technologies across four dimensions-attributes, signatures, roles, and multi-smart contracts-and further develops a blockchain-based system for controlling access to medical data. Finally, it summarizes and analyzes the challenges faced by medical data sharing, and provides an outlook on the future development of the technology. This study is of great sig- nificance in guiding the deep integration of blockchain technology and medical digitization, and guaranteeing the secu-rity of medical data throughout its life cycle. © 2024 IEEE.

Due to the independent nature of Blockchain systems in different organizations, data sharing and asset transfer between these Blockchain systems face extreme challenges. The phenomenon of data silos is gradually emerging, and Blockchain cross chain technology provides important technical support for bridging data silos, achieving interoperability and data sharing between Blockchains. The focus of this article is on the systematic study and comparison of four widely used cross-chain technologies and platforms, and designs a Blockchain cross-chain architecture that integrates notary and relay chain technologies based on the analysis results. Compared with using a single notary mechanism or a single relay cross-chain technology, it has better scalability, stronger customization, and higher security. This work has a certain promoting effect on the development of cross chain technology. © 2024 IEEE.

There are many initiatives that teach Artificial Intelligence (AI) literacy to K-12 students. Most downsize college-level instructional materials to grade-level appropriate formats, overlooking students' unique perspectives in the design of curricula. To investigate the use of educational games as a vehicle for uncovering youth's understanding of AI instruction, we co-designed games with 39 Black, Hispanic, and Asian high school girls and non-binary youth to create engaging learning materials for their peers. We conducted qualitative analyses on the designed game artifacts, student discourse, and their feedback on the efficacy of learning activities. This study highlights the benefits of co-design and learning games to uncover students' understanding and ability to apply AI concepts in game-based learning, their emergent perspectives of AI, and the prior knowledge that informs their game design choices. Our research uncovers students' AI misconceptions and informs the design of educational games and grade-level appropriate AI instruction. © 2025 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

This paper focuses on the development of a classification model for gender recognition based on voice speech using various acoustic parameters. The aim is to predict whether a voice sample belongs to a male or female speaker. The initial step in the paper involves dividing the dataset into two parts: training data and test data, through a test-train data split. Following this, the study explores the performance of various machine learning algorithms for gender classification based on voice features. The algorithms under consideration include Support Vector Machine (SVM), Decision Tree Classifier, k-Nearest Neighbors (KNN), Random Forest, and Logistic Regression. Each of these algorithms is individually trained on the training data and subsequently evaluated on the test data to gauge their effectiveness in gender classification. The paper then analyzes and compares the results obtained from each algorithm, assessing their accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score to identify the model that performs best in predicting gender based on voice features. The performance of every model is assessed using a confusion matrix and classification report, offering valuable information about accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score for each gender class. The model with the highest accuracy is determined as the best performer among them. By employing these classification algorithms and analysing the acoustic parameters of voice speech, this paper aims to provide a reliable method for gender recognition. The results obtained from this study can have potential applications in various fields, including speech processing, voice-based user interfaces, and automatic gender identification systems. © 2023 IEEE.

According to the World Health Organization, approximately 360,000 pregnant women are registered annually in Sri Lanka. Among these, about 328,000 babies are born healthy, while 5,800 are born with birth defects, some of which are severe and impact daily life. To address the Sri Lankan stillbirth rate of 6.01%, continuous monitoring of fetal and maternal health is essential. Although commercial devices exist to fulfill this requirement, their high costs and safety issues often preclude regular use. To overcome these challenges, there is a need for a passive, wearable, and portable monitoring system for fetal and maternal health. This system should track key parameters such as fetal heart rate, fetal movements, and maternal heart rate to mitigate health risks for both the fetus and the mother. In this study, we developed a device using the Arduino, appropriate sensors, and a microcontroller to monitor these vital parameters. The device is user-friendly and suitable for regular use. MATLAB was utilized for the signal processing requirements of the proposed device. Test results demonstrated that fetal movement detection was accurate, although potential errors may arise during real-time testing. For pulse sensor readings, an average percentage difference of 3.025% was observed compared to pulse oximeter readings, likely due to placement errors and sensor instability in the proposed device. © 2024 IEEE.

Companies are constantly optimizing their processes to increase the efficiency of software development, which heavily depends on software testing to fulfil stringent business requirements and with high-quality software released. The detection of software defects and the assurance of software quality are facilitated by high-quality test cases. However, the current metrics used to measure test case quality (TCQ) lack clarity. Therefore, this study aims to address this gap by identifying metrics and the corresponding characteristics that measure the TCQ. This paper presents a systematic literature review (SLR) focused on TCQ characteristics and metrics. By analyzing empirical papers published between 2010 and June 2018, a total of 23 papers were identified for inclusion in the review. Through this process, 16 characteristics and 50 metrics were identified. These characteristics and metrics were further analyzed, categorized, and finalized as the evaluation metrics for TCQ characteristics. The outcomes of this study contribute to the development of a comprehensive model for assessing TCQ. © 2023 IEEE.
