This paper proposes a dual-frequency miniaturized antenna for implantable medical devices. The proposed antenna has two frequency bands: the mid-field frequency band (1.4-1.6 GHz), and the industrial, scientific, and medical frequency band (ISM), respectively, for wireless power transmission (WPT) and data transmission or wireless monitoring. A compact dual-frequency transmission antenna based on optimal current distribution has been proposed as a transmitter to achieve wireless power and data transmission establishment. The simulation results show that within a distance of 50mm, the transmission coefficient can reach -27.8dB. Finally, human radiation safety has a lower specific absorption rate, indicating the potential of implants. © 2024 SPIE.

In this rapidly changing era of information technology, images have always been the main tool for human communication of information. In daily life, a large number of natural scene images, such as road signs, advertising slogans, etc., often contain important textual information, which is of great help to people’s understanding of image content. Text is a type of linguistic information that exists in various aspects of people’s lives. The textual information in it can help people understand, describe, and analyze natural scenes, and has important social value. Neural network technology is of great help for optimizing text detection. Mass spectrometry plays a crucial role in biomedicine by detecting isotopes,contributing significantly to research,diagnostics,and therapy *** study introduces IsoFusion,a deep learning model designed to address isotope detection in raw mass *** than directly applying convolutional layers to all signal and noise peaks,IsoFusion employs a trial-and-error ***,it investigates all potential charge states(trials)and collects signal peaks around expected m/z values for each ***,convolutional layers extract features from each trial,which are fused to identify the correct ***,the reparameterization trick predicts isotope features based on this correct trial.A key advantage of IsoFusion is shared model parameters across all trials,enhancing feature learning for less common charge states using data from prevalent *** results show a significant accuracy improvement for charge state 5,reaching 99.42%,compared to DeepIso’s 43.36%.Moreover,IsoFusion achieves a 97.33%detection accuracy for isotopes,with 2.4%of detected isotopes previously unidentified by four commonly used methods.

Previous studies consider little on using dependency-type messages in the E2E-ABSA task. Studies using dependency-type messages just contact the dependency-type message and word embedding vectors, which may not fully fuse the context feature and information from the dependency type. This paper proposes a new model called Dependency-Type Weighted Graph Convolution Network (DTW-GCN) to compose dependency-type messages and word embedding. We use a type-weighted matrix to combine the dependency-type message, and DTW-GCN could fuse the dependency-type message and word embedding vectors. Experiments conducted on three benchmark datasets verify the effectiveness of our model. © IFIP International Federation for information Processing 2024.

Leukemia, a malignant disease characterized by the rapid proliferation of specific types of white blood cells (WBC), has prompted increased interest in leveraging automatic WBC classification system. This study presents the design of a robust WBC classification system, integrating deep learning with microscopic image analysis. The proposed classification model is designed to categorize blood cells into four distinct groups: eosinophil, lymphocyte, monocyte, and neutrophil. The study employs a Kaggle image dataset for comprehensive learning. The dataset comprises 12,500 microscopic images used to categorize the four blood cell groups. To enhance performance and reduce the likelihood of overfitting, transfer learning techniques are employed. Six deep transfer learning models namely VGG16, ResNet50, AlexNet, MobileNet, GoogLeNet, and EfficientNetBO are used for feature extraction and classification. The results of the experiments show that VGG16 and MobileNet demonstrated enhancements compared to other pre-trained models when evaluated on both augmented and original datasets. A diverse set of evaluation criteria was employed to thoroughly assess the effectiveness of medical image classification. Notably, the VGG16 and MobileNet models accurately predicted Lymphocytes and Monocytes with a 100% accuracy rate, and Eosinophil and Neutrophil with rates of 99.35% and 99.81%, respectively. This research work empower medical practitioners, particularly in the field of pathology and hematology by providing advanced tools for accurate blood cell classification. The proposed VGG16 and MobileNet models hold promise for simplifying WBC classification, improving decision-making processes, and ultimately advancing patient care in the medical domain. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

The deployment of service function chains (SFCs) in integrated edge computing networks presents significant challenges, including optimizing resource utilization, minimizing latency, and reducing energy consumption. These challenges arise from the dynamic nature of workloads, varying network conditions, and complex service function dependencies. Conventional optimization approaches often struggle to handle these complexities, as they depend on static models and assumptions that may not apply in practical situations. This paper introduces an innovative solution using deep reinforcement learning (DRL) to overcome these limitations. By modeling the deployment problem as a Markov decision process, we utilize the DRL's capability to learn optimal policies through iterative trial and error interactions with the environment. Our method adaptively adjusts service function placement in real time, accounting for workload variability, service dependencies, and network conditions. Comprehensive simulations demonstrate that our proposed approach achieves significant improvements in terms of latency reduction, resource utilization, and energy consumption compared to conventional methods, and can provide a new solution for SFC deployment. © 2024 IEEE.

A Review of Deep Convolutional Neural Networks in Mobile Face Recognition

With the emergence of deep learning, Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) models have been proposed to advance the progress of various applications, including face recognition, object detection, pattern recognition, and number plate recognition. The utilization of CNNs in these areas has considerably improved security and surveillance capabilities by providing automated recognition solutions, such as traffic surveillance, access control devices, biometric security systems, and attendance systems. However, there is still room for improvement in this field. This paper discusses several classic CNN models, such as LeNet-5, AlexNet, VGGNet, GoogLeNet, and ResNet, as well as lightweight models for mobile-based applications, such as MobileNet, ShuffleNet, and EfficientNet. Additionally, deep CNN-based face recognition models, such as DeepFace, DeepID, FaceNet, and SphereFace, are explored, along with their architectural characteristics, advantages, disadvantages, and recognition accuracy. The results indicate that many scholars are researching lightweight face recognition, but applying it to mobile devices is impractical due to high computational costs. Furthermore, noise label learning is not robust in actual scenarios, and unlabeled face learning is expensive in manual labeling. Finally, this paper concludes with a discussion of the current problems faced by face recognition technology and its potential future directions for development. © 2023 by the authors of this article. Observation points classifier ensemble for high-dimensional imbalanced classification

In this paper,an Observation Points Classifier Ensemble(OPCE)algorithm is proposed to deal with High-Dimensional Imbalanced Classification(HDIC)problems based on data processed using the Multi-Dimensional Scaling(MDS)feature extraction ***,dimensionality of the original imbalanced data is reduced using MDS so that distances between any two different samples are preserved as well as ***,a novel OPCE algorithm is applied to classify imbalanced samples by placing optimised observation points in a low-dimensional data ***,optimization of the observation point mappings is carried out to obtain a reliable assessment of the unknown *** experiments have been conducted to evaluate the feasibility,rationality,and effectiveness of the proposed OPCE algorithm using seven benchmark HDIC data *** results show that(1)the OPCE algorithm can be trained faster on low-dimensional imbalanced data than on high-dimensional data;(2)the OPCE algorithm can correctly identify samples as the number of optimised observation points is increased;and(3)statistical analysis reveals that OPCE yields better HDIC performances on the selected data sets in comparison with eight other HDIC *** demonstrates that OPCE is a viable algorithm to deal with HDIC problems.
