Look one step ahead through first-order aggregation in reinforcement learning-based knowledge graph reasoning

Multi-hop reasoning is an effective and interpretable approach for query answering, as it finds reasoning paths over knowledge graphs (KGs) to enhance interpretability. Recent studies have applied reinforcement learning-based (RL-based) methods with policy agents to solve this problem. However, these methods primarily focus on sequential reasoning paths and candidate nodes, while overlooking the local structural information of adjacency subgraphs and the semantic correlations between relations at each decision step. In this paper, we propose a novel RL-based multi-hop reasoning model, Look One Step Ahead (LOSA), which leverages first-order aggregation to regard more expressive adjacency subgraphs rather than nodes as candidate actions and pays attention to the semantic correlations between relations. Specifically, an adjacency aggregation module encodes the local subgraph information and feeds the representations into the policy network to guide decision-making, thereby reducing backtracking and mitigating sparse-reward issues. Furthermore, a semantic matching module is designed to emphasize the semantic correlations of relations to improve the rationality of the reasoning paths. Extensive experiments on benchmark datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach. © 2025

Today's world is rapidly growing towards the advanced concept of technology. technology nowadays is at its peak of development and has great advantages in all fields of work, whether it is in industrial automation, farming, weather forecasting, or disease detection and control. Despite its great advantages, it does have its negative side because a major population is using technology and general-purpose computing devices (i.e., desktops, laptops, smartphones, tablets, etc.). Therefore, most of their personal data is available online. The data is constantly in danger of getting stolen by malicious actors (i.e., hackers), who can find a way to get their hands on this data and then use it for their personal gain (i.e., money-making). The best-known technique to get this information is by using malware exploitation on the machine of the target. Malware is an executable or a binary that is malicious in nature. It may have various devastating effects, and in order to detect and make the system defensive, we need to propose a scheme to detect the malware in the system, analyze the particular file, and then mitigate it. In this paper, we propose a secure machine learning-based malware detection and analysis scheme (in short, SML-MDA). The conducted security analysis and formal security verification of the proposed SMLMDA prove its security against various types of potential attacks. The proposed SML-MDA is then compared with the other similar competing schemes, and its performance has been found to be better in terms of various performance metrics like accuracy and F1-score. © 2023 IEEE.

Physics-based fluid simulation has played an increasingly important role in the computer graphics *** methods in this area have greatly improved the generation of complex visual effects and its computational *** techniques have emerged to deal with complex boundaries,multiphase fluids,gas-liquid interfaces,and fine *** parallel use of machine learning,image processing,and fluid control technologies has brought many interesting and novel research *** this survey,we provide an introduction to theoretical concepts underpinning physics-based fuid simulation and their practical implementation,with the aim for it to serve as a guide for both newcomers and seasoned researchers to explore the field of physics-based fuid simulation,with a focus on developments in the last *** by the distribution of recent publications in the field,we structure our survey to cover physical background;discretization approaches;computational methods that address scalability;fuid interactions with other materials and interfaces;and methods for expressive aspects of surface detail and *** a practical perspective,we give an overview of existing implementations available for the above methods.

Digital dermoscopy is commonly employed by dermatologists for the diagnosis of malignancy. Clinicians' recognition of tumor is not only highly subjective, but also highly dependent on their level of experience. The inherent inter-operator unevenness in the private processing of dermoscopy pictures calls for fully automated computer-aided diagnosis(CAD) methods. The fine-grained differences in the manifestation of these abrasions on the skin-surface make automated skin lesion classification difficult. In several different types of fine-grained object classifications, deep convolutional-neural-network(CNN) has demonstrated excellent reparability. In order to categorize dermoscopy pictures into benign or malignancy lesions, this research introduces two innovative hybrid CNN strategies that use a support-vector-machine (SVM) at the output layer. In order to classify data, the characteristics mined by the first &second CNN strategies are combined and supplied to the SVM. The suggested model's efficacy is measured against a reference set of labels provided from a dermatology specialist. In a study using CAD for skin disease categorization, the generated CNN-segmented image folder distinguished atopic dermatitis from nasty diseases and obstacles like mycosis fungoides, impetigo, and herpesvirus contagion with a sensitivity and specificity of around 98%. In comparison to the traditional CNN strategies, the proposed models performed better on the ISBI 2016 public dataset. Both of the proposed models, with an accuracy of 88.02% and 87.43%, outperformed the standard CNN models. Reduced reliance on physician annotation and enhanced CAD performance are both benefits of our CNN segmentation algorithm, which automatically removes lesions and segments images of the skin area across all image fields. © 2023 IEEE.

Instant delivery has become a fundamental service in people's daily lives. Different from the traditional express service, the instant delivery has a strict shipping time constraint after being ordered. However, the labor shortage makes it challenging to realize efficient instant delivery. To tackle the problem, researchers have studied to introduce vehicles (i.e., taxis) or Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs or drones) into instant delivery tasks. Unfortunately, the delivery detour of taxis and the limited battery of UAVs make it hard to meet the rapidly increasing instant delivery demands. Under this circumstance, this paper proposes an air-ground cooperative instant delivery paradigm to maximize the delivery performance and meanwhile minimize the negative effects on the taxi passengers. Specifically, a data-driven delivery potential-demands-aware cooperative strategy is designed to improve the overall delivery performance of both UAVs and taxis as well as the taxi passengers' experience. The experimental results show that the proposed method improves the delivery number by 30.1% and 114.5% compared to the taxi-based and UAV-based instant delivery respectively, and shortens the delivery time by 35.7% compared to the taxi-based instant delivery. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper describes the design and implementation of a steerable robot control device making use of machine imaginative and prescient. The machine consists of a robot car ready with a 3-d digital camera, a show and a manipulate panel. This paper explores a multimodal approach for translating emotional cues present in speech, designed with Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing (dhh) individuals in mind. Prior work has focused on visual cues applied to captions, successfully conveying whether a speaker's words have a negative or positive tone (valence), but with mixed results regarding the intensity (arousal) of these emotions. We propose a novel method using haptic feedback to communicate a speaker's arousal levels through vibrations on a wrist-worn device. In a formative study with 16 dhh participants, we tested six haptic patterns and found that participants preferred single per-word vibrations at 75 Hz to encode arousal. In a follow-up study with 27 dhh participants, this pattern was paired with visual cues, and narrative engagement with audio-visual content was measured. Results indicate that combining haptics with visuals significantly increased engagement compared to a conventional captioning baseline and a visuals-only affective captioning style. © 2025 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

Over the past few years, Algorand has emerged as one of the prominent pure proof-of-stake (PPoS) blockchains, with a rapidly growing number of accounts and transactions. Despite its increasing significance, there is limited knowledge about its smart contracts, transaction activities, and other features. This paper^ presents the first comprehensive study of Algorand using graph analysis to investigate the creation of entities" payment of Algos, invocation of smart contracts, and Transfer of assets over time. By collecting and analyzing external transaction data, we have constructed graphs to gain insights into the behavior of the blockchain Our research has uncovered novel observations and insights by performing relevant graph analysis, and we have also proposed a solution to one security problem based on these grajhs. © 2023 IEEE.

With the widespread adoption of medical informatics, a wealth of valuable personal health records (PHR) has been generated. Concurrently, blockchain technology has enhanced the security of medical institutions. However, these institutions often function as isolated data silos, limiting the potential value of PHRs. As the demand for data sharing between hospitals on different blockchains grows, addressing the challenge of cross-chain data sharing becomes crucial. When sharing PHRs across blockchains, the limited storage and computational capabilities of medical Internet of Things (IoT) devices complicate the storage of large volumes of PHRs and the handling of complex calculations. Additionally, varying blockchain cryptosystems and the risk of internal attacks further complicate the cross-chain sharing of PHRs. This paper proposes a scheme for sharing PHRs across heterogeneous and interoperable blockchains. Medical IoT devices can encrypt and store real-time PHRs in an InterPlanetary File System, requiring only simple operations for data sharing. An enhanced proxy re-encryption(PRE) algorithm addresses the differences in blockchain cryptosystems. Multi-dimensional analysis demonstrates that this scheme offers robust security and excellent performance. © 2024 IEEE.
