Impact of asymptomatic infected individuals on epidemic transmission dynamics in multiplex networks with partial coupling

The theory of network science has attracted great interest of many researchers in the realm of biomathematics and public health,and numerous valuable epidemic models have been *** previous studies,it is common to set up a one-to-one correspondence between the nodes of a multi-layer network,ignoring the more complex situations in *** the present work,we explore this situation by setting up a partially coupled model of a two-layer network and investigating the impact of asymptomatic infected individuals on *** propose a self-discovery mechanism for asymptomatic infected individuals,taking into account situations such as nucleic acid testing in the community and individuals performing self-antigen testing during the *** these factors together,through the microscopic Markov chain approach(MMCA)and extensive Monte Carlo(MC)numerical simulations,we find that the greater the coupling between the networks,the more information dissemination is *** order to control the epidemics,more asymptomatic infected individuals should be made aware of their *** adoption of nucleic acid testing and individual adoption of antigenic self-testing can help to contain epidemic ***,the epidemic threshold of the proposed model is derived,and then miscellaneous factors affecting the epidemic threshold are also *** results are conducive to devising the prevention and control policies of pandemics.

FIDC-YOLO: Improved YOLO for Detecting Pine Wilt Disease in UAV Remote Sensing Images via Feature Interaction and Dependency Capturing

Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) remote sensing technology has been widely applied in pine wilt disease (PWD) detection. UAV-collected PWD images are characterized by complex backgrounds, small target sizes, and uneven spatial distribution. State-of-the-art generic detection methods typically use Transformers or Mamba-based backbones to mitigate background interference by enhancing the global receptive field. However, directly applying these generic detectors to detect PWD results in suboptimal performance due to insufficient utilization of local features. Although current PWD detection methods use the attention mechanisms to improve the recognition of infected targets, the limitations of Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) in capturing long-range dependencies hinder their ability to separate targets from the background. To overcome these challenges, a novel PWD detection method called feature interaction and dependency capturing-YOLO (FIDCYOLO) is proposed in this article. Firstly, to effectively extract the discriminative features of PWD targets, the shuffle efficient layer aggregation network (SELAN) is proposed to promote information interaction between features, improving the model's learning capability. Then, to address the interference of complex backgrounds, the bidirectional extension of Mamba (Hydra) is improved by employing the partial dependency capture (PDC) module, which captures both global and local dependencies for suppressing background information. Additionally, the feature aggregation-spatial pyramid pooling fast (FA-SPPF) module is introduced in front of PDC, which aggregates cross-level features to enhance detection performance. Finally, we use ADown as the downsampling module to avoid the loss of target information. Extensive experiments on our self-constructed PWD dataset and the public DIOR dataset demonstrate the excellent performance of FIDC-YOLO. © 2008-2012 IEEE.

Stochastic Model Predictive control Based on Polynomial Chaos Expansion With Application to Wind Energy Conversion Systems

The wind energy conversion system (WECS) has a complex structure, and its state space model is highly nonlinear. Due to the random uncertainty of wind speed, it poses a huge challenge to achieve optimal control tasks and ensure the safe and stable operation of the system. Therefore, this article proposes a stochastic model predictive control strategy based on Polynomial Chaotic Expansion (PCE), which achieves the control tasks of MPPT and constant power regions in wind energy conversion systems. Firstly, a simple algorithm is proposed to obtain a set of basis functions that are suitable for the stochastic variable wind speed. Then, the obtained basis functions are used to propagate the uncertainty of the original uncertain differential equation of the wind energy conversion system through polynomial chaotic expansion. Combining the operating region and constraint conditions of the wind energy conversion system, the original stochastic uncertainty problem is transformed into a deterministic convex optimization problem. Using NREL 5MW wind turbine as the research object for simulation, the task of capturing maximum wind energy in MPPT area and tracking rated power points in constant power area was achieved. The experimental results show that the proposed control method can effectively improve the wind energy capture capability and achieve accurate tracking of output power to rated power. © 2024 River Publishers.

Optimization of the Fast Frequency Regulation Strategy for Energy Storage-Assisted Photovoltaic Power Stations

Photovoltaic (PV) power generation is characterized by randomness and intermittency, resulting in unpredictable fluctuations in output power. This presents a significant challenge to the stable operation of the grid. To address this issue, the integration of energy storage systems provides a solution to mitigate the volatility of PV output, ensuring stability and precise control. In this study, we propose an ASS-Elman-based equivalent droop control strategy for PV power stations participating in grid frequency regulation. Furthermore, a joint PV-energy storage frequency regulation system is developed. For energy storage power stations actively engaged in grid frequency regulation, we employ an adaptive droop control strategy to enhance the traditional droop control method by incorporating additional frequency control strategies. We validate the effectiveness of the proposed strategies through simulation using MATLAB/SIMULINK. The results demonstrate that these strategies maximize the potential of energy storage and PV systems to comprehensively regulate frequency and significantly improve primary frequency regulation performance. © 2024 River Publishers. The maturity of 5G technology has enabled crowd-sensing services to collect multimedia data over wireless network,so it has promoted the applications of crowd-sensing services in different fields,but also brings more privacy security challenges,the most commom which is privacy *** a privacy protection technology combining data integrity check and identity anonymity,ring signature is widely used in the field of privacy ***,introducing signature technology leads to additional signature verification *** the scenario of crowd-sensing,the existing signature schemes have low efficiency in multi-signature ***,it is necessary to design an efficient multi-signature verification scheme while ensuring *** this paper,a batch-verifiable signature scheme is proposed based on the crowd-sensing background,which supports the sensing platform to verify the uploaded multiple signature data efficiently,so as to overcoming the defects of the traditional signature scheme in multi-signature *** our proposal,a method for linking homologous data was presented,which was valuable for incentive mechanism and data *** results showed that the proposed scheme has good performance in terms of security and efficiency in crowd-sensing applications with a large number of users and data.

The image style conversion work is to map the style of the target domain image while keeping the content of the natural landscape image in the source domain unchanged. This technology is widely used in fields such as painting, film, and artistic creation. At present, research in this field mostly focuses on learning the styles of Western painters, lacking research on traditional Chinese painting styles. Due to the limitations of various painting techniques and clear semantic boundaries in traditional Chinese painting, existing methods still cannot clearly express stroke boundaries. This article proposes a style conversion network based on CycleGAN named Conv-CycleGAN. Convnext blocks are added to the generator in combination with PONO-MS modules to extract finer boundary features, and a self-attention mechanism module is used in the discriminator to achieve high-quality image style conversion of Chinese pastoral landscape paintings. Through extensive experimental comparisons and evaluations, it has been proven that this method has the ability to optimize the traditional Chinese painting style, confirming its superiority. © 2024 IEEE.

Drug-Target Interactions Prediction Based on Signed Heterogeneous Graph Neural Networks

Drug-target interactions(DTIs) prediction plays an important role in the process of drug *** computational methods treat it as a binary prediction problem, determining whether there are connections between drugs and targets while ignoring relational types information. Considering the positive or negative effects of DTIs will facilitate the study on comprehensive mechanisms of multiple drugs on a common target, in this work, we model DTIs on signed heterogeneous networks, through categorizing interaction patterns of DTIs and additionally extracting interactions within drug pairs and target protein pairs. We propose signed heterogeneous graph neural networks(SHGNNs), further put forward an end-to-end framework for signed DTIs prediction, called SHGNN-DTI,which not only adapts to signed bipartite networks, but also could naturally incorporate auxiliary information from drug-drug interactions(DDIs) and protein-protein interactions(PPIs). For the framework, we solve the message passing and aggregation problem on signed DTI networks, and consider different training modes on the whole networks consisting of DTIs, DDIs and PPIs. Experiments are conducted on two datasets extracted from Drug Bank and related databases, under different settings of initial inputs, embedding dimensions and training modes. The prediction results show excellent performance in terms of metric indicators, and the feasibility is further verified by the case study with two drugs on breast cancer.

The importance of Model Predictive control(MPC)has significant applications in the agricultural industry,more specifically for greenhouse’s control ***,the complexity of the greenhouse and its limited prior knowledge prevent an exact mathematical description of the *** methods provide a promising solution to this issue through their capacity to identify the system’s comportment using the fit between model output and observed *** this paper,we introduce an application of Constrained Model Predictive control(CMPC)for a greenhouse temperature and relative *** this purpose,two Multi Input Single Output(MISO)systems,using Numerical Subspace State Space System Identification(N4SID)algorithm,are firstly suggested to identify the temperature and the relative humidity comportment to heating and ventilation *** this sense,linear state space models were adopted in order to evaluate the robustness of the control *** the system is identified,the MPC technique is applied for the temperature and the humidity *** results show that the regulation of the temperature and the relative humidity under constraints was guaranteed,both parameters respect the ranges 15℃≤T_(int)≤30℃and 50%≤H_(int)≤70%*** the other hand,the control signals uf and uh applied to the fan and the heater,respect the hard constraints notion,the control signals for the fan and the heater did not exceed 0≤uf≤4.3 Volts and 0≤uh≤5 Volts,respectively,which proves the effectiveness of the MPC and the tracking ***,we show that with the proposed technique,using a new optimization toolbox,the computational complexity has been significantly *** greenhouse in question is devoted to Schefflera Arboricola cultivation.
