A common strategy for Parameter-Efficient Fine-Tuning (PEFT) of pre-trained Vision Transformers (ViTs) involves adapting the model to downstream tasks by learning a low-rank adaptation matrix. This matrix is decomposed into a product of down-projection and up-projection matrices, with the bottleneck dimensionality being crucial for reducing the number of learnable parameters, as exemplified by prevalent methods like LoRA and Adapter. However, these low-rank strategies typically employ a fixed bottleneck dimensionality, which limits their flexibility in handling layer-wise variations. To address this limitation, we propose a novel PEFT approach inspired by Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) for representing the adaptation matrix. SVD decomposes a matrix into the product of a left unitary matrix, a diagonal matrix of scaling values, and a right unitary matrix. We utilize Householder transformations to construct orthogonal matrices that efficiently mimic the unitary matrices, requiring only a vector. The diagonal values are learned in a layer-wise manner, allowing them to flexibly capture the unique properties of each layer. This approach enables the generation of adaptation matrices with varying ranks across different layers, providing greater flexibility in adapting pre-trained models. Experiments on standard downstream vision tasks demonstrate that our method achieves promising fine-tuning performance. © 2024 Neural information processing systems foundation. All rights reserved.

Single hyperspectral image super-resolution aims to reconstruct a high-resolution hyperspectral image (HRHSI) from an observed low resolution hyperspectral image (LRHSI). Most current methods combine CNN and Transformer structures to directly extract features of all channels in LRHSI for image reconstruction, but they do not consider the interference of redundant information in adjacent bands, resulting in spectral and spatial distortions in the reconstruction results and an increase in model computational complexity. To address this issue, this paper proposes a spectral clustering-based pyramid super-resolution network (SCPSN) to progressively reconstruct HRHSI at different scales. In each image reconstruction layer, a clustering super-resolution block (CSRB) consisting of spectral clustering block (SCB), patch non local attention block (PNAB), and dynamic fusion block (DFB) is designed to achieve the reconstruction of detail features. Specifically, for the high correlation between adjacent spectral bands in LRHSI, a SCB is first constructed to achieve clustering of spectral channels and filtering of hyperchannels. This can reduce the interference of redundant spectral information and the computational complexity of the model. Then, by utilizing the non-local similarity of features within the channel, a patch non-local attention block (PNAB) is constructed to enhance the features of hyperchannels. Next, a dynamic fusion block (DFB) is designed to reconstruct the features of all channels in LRHSI by establishing correlations between enhanced hyperchannels and other channels. Finally, the reconstructed channels are upsampled and added to the corresponding channels to obtain the reconstructed HRHSI. Extensive experiments validate that the performance of SCPSN is superior to that of some other state-of-the-art (SOTA) HSSR methods in terms of visual effects and quantitative metrics. High-precision three-dimensional models of small celestial bodies are important for deep space exploration tasks. The homologous point cloud obtained from a single sensor has limitations in terms of accuracy and density. For example, the point cloud obtained by RGB camera has rich information and high density, but low precision. The point cloud obtained by laser scanning has high precision but low density. Therefore, we hope to register and fuse the point clouds obtained from different sensors, synthesize the advantages of cross-source point clouds obtained from different source domains, and improve the density, accuracy and other aspects of small celestial point clouds. To solve the common problems of cross-source point clouds, we adopt an end-to-end feature measurement point cloud registration framework, which does not need to search the corresponding points between two point clouds, and reduces the difficulty of processing cross-source point cloud data. Aiming at the problem that some stray points on the registered point cloud surface affect the accuracy of the point cloud, a point cloud fusion optimization method based on Euclidean distance is proposed. The stray points around the point cloud are removed to reduce the loss of normal points. The accuracy of point cloud is improved by the fusion after registration. Experiments show that the proposed method can effectively improve the density and accuracy of small celestial body models. © 2024 IEEE.

Dear Editor, This letter investigates the prescribed-time stabilization of linear singularly perturbed systems. Due to the numerical issues caused by the small perturbation parameter, the off-the-shelf control design techniques for the prescribed-time stabilization of regular linear systems are typically not suitable here. To solve the problem, the decoupling transformation techniques for time-varying singularly perturbed systems are combined with linear time-varying high gain feedback design techniques.

Stackelberg strategy has received great attention since the 1970s. The closed-loop solution still faces many difficulties though the open-loop problems have been well studied. An obvious fact for the difficulty is that the optimal closed-loop solution to the Stackelberg strategy is implicit nonlinear. By presenting a novel approach of full-information linear feedback strategy, substantial progress for the problem is made in this paper. We are the first to present explicit linear closed-loop Stackelberg controllers in terms of the current state and Riccatilike equations. Due to the elegance and simplicity of the solution, the proposed results will be extended to other game control problems with asymmetry status players. More importantly, the Q-Iearning algorithm for the Stackelberg strategy will become possible with the proposed optimal solution. © 2023 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

Ozone pollution is a major environmental threat to human health. Timely assessment of ozone trends is crucial for informing environmental policy. Here we show that for the most recent decade（2013–2022） in the northern hemisphere, warm-season（April–September） mean daily 8-h average maximum ozone increases much faster in urban regions with top ozone levels(mainly in the North China Plain, 1.2 ± 1.3 ppbv year-1) than in other, low-ozone regions(0.2 ± 0.9 ppbv year-1). These trends widen the ozone differences across urban regions, and increase extreme pollution levels and health threats from a global perspective. Comparison of historical trends in different urban regions reveals that ozone increases in China during 2013–2022 differ in magnitude and mechanisms to historical periods in other regions since *** reflects a unique chemical environment characterized by exceptionally high nitrogen oxides and aerosol concentrations, where reducing ozone precursor emissions leads to substantial ozone *** increase in China has slowed down in 2018–2022 compared to 2013–2017, driven by ongoing emission reductions, but with ozone-favorable weather conditions. Historical ozone evolution in Japan and South Korea indicates that ozone increases should be suppressed with continuous emission *** temperature and associated wildfires have also reversed ozone decreases in the USA and Europe,with anthropogenic ozone control slowing down in recent decades.

Municipal solid waste(MSW)is an important destination for abandoned *** the waste disposal process,large plastic debris is broken down into microplastics(MPs)and released into the ***,current research only focuses on landfill leachates,and the occurrence of MPs in other leachates has not been ***,herein,the abundance and characteristics of MPs in three types of leachates,namely,landfill leachate,residual waste leachate,and household food waste leachate,were studied,all leachates were collected from the largest waste disposal center in *** results showed that the average MP abundances in the different types of leachates ranged from(129±54)to(1288±184)MP particles per liter(particlesL1)and the household food waste leachate exhibited the highest MP abundance(p<0.05).Polyethylene(PE)and fragments were the dominant polymer type and shape in MPs,*** characteristic polymer types of MPs in individual leachates were ***,the conditional fragmentation model indicated that the landfilling process considerably affected the size distribution of MPs in leachates,leading to a higher percentage(>80%)of small MPs(20–100 lm)in landfill leachates compared to other *** the best of our knowledge,this is the first study discussing the sources of MPs in different leachates,which is important for MP pollution control during MSW disposal.
