Sluggish conversion reaction kinetics and spontaneous shuttle effect of lithium polysulfides(LiPSs)are deemed as the two big mountains that hinder the practical application of lithium-sulfur batteries(LSBs).Herein,dual-defect engineering strategy is implemented by introducing boron-doping and phosphorusvacancy sites with MoP@NC composite as the *** on the experimental characterizations and theoretical calculations,B-MoP_(1-x)@NC-based electrode presents low oxidation potential,high lithium diffusivity,small Tafel slope and strong adsorption capability for polysulfides,which is beneficial to enhance the adsorption capability for LiPSs,reduce the lithium diffusion energy barriers and Gibbs free energy for the conversion reactions of *** demonstrated,the corresponding Li-S/B-MoP1-x@NC batteries can remain high reversible capacity of 753 mAh/g at 0.5 C after 300 cycles,and keep a stable capacity of 520 mAh/g at 0.5 C after 100 cycles even at the high-loading content of 5.1mg/cm^(2).According to the results of in-situ UV–vis spectra,the satisfactory battery performance majorly originates from the existence of dual-defect characteristics in B-MoP1-x@NC catalyst,which effectively promotes the conversion reaction kinetics of LiPSs,and restrains the shuttle behavior of *** key ideas of this work will enlighten the development of catalytic cathode materials for sulfur-based secondary batteries.

We proposed a new measure to optimize the comprehensive magnetic properties of SmCo5 *** compounding Fe-15Ni-3Al-1Ti(FNAT)alloy with high saturation magnetization and Sm(Co,Cu)5 matrix alloy in the liquid state,an innovative two-phase separation microstructure or cellular microstructure is formed after melt-spinning using the phase separation effect of the two *** the same time,the element concentration,relative phase content,and microstructure are adjusted by adding different con-tents of FNAT *** results show that FNAT addition promotes the as-spun ribbons phase separation(or spinodal decomposition)into Co-rich SmCo5-and Sm-Ni-rich CeCo5-or Sm2Co7-type *** 3 wt.%FNAT increases the coercivity,saturation magnetization,and remanence of the ribbons by 320.6%,39.8%,and 82.8%,*** 5 wt.% FNAT promotes forming the Sm2(Co,M)7 cell-wall phase and increases the coercivity and remanence by 272.7% and 48.1%,***,the corresponding microstructure evolution models,magnetization,and demagnetization mechanisms are proposed.

Microbiologically influenced corrosion and bacterial infection lead to serious losses to human production and *** alloys with inherent antibacterial properties is a vital way to solve the above ***,the widely used Cu-containing stainless steels show insufficient antimicrobial properties and relatively low yield strengths,which further limit their application in extreme service *** on the design concept of high-entropy alloys(HEAs),a novel low-cost Co-free CrFeNi_(0.5)Cu_(0.3)HEA with an optimal combination of antibacterial and mechanical properties was designed and *** alloy comprises triple-phase structures,including FeNi-rich face-centered cubic(FCC1),Cu-rich FCC2 and FeCr-rich body-centered cubic(BCC).The antibacterial rate of this HEA is up to 99.99%against Escherichia coli,which is far superior to that of classic 304 Cu-bearing stainless steel(304-Cu SS)and the most reported antibacterial *** addition,the HEA exhibits excellent mechanical properties with a tensile strength of 1032 MPa and yield strength of 842 MPa,far surpassing the corresponding values of 304-Cu SS(i.e.,528 MPa and 210 MPa,respectively).These findings provide new insights for the development of low-cost and high-performance antibacterial alloys.
