Thermal Dynamic Embedded Contingency Analysis for Heat-electrical Integrated Energy System

To address security challenges in Heat-electrical Integrated Energy Systems (HE-IES), this paper introduces a simulation-based contingency analysis method aimed at identifying potentially threatening faults. We begin by modeling common faults in HE-IES and outlining a comprehensive procedure for simulation-based contingency analysis. Next, we analyze the factors determining temperature drop in the heat medium transfer process and propose a novel analytical-numerical method for thermal dynamic simulation. Real-world experimental results demonstrate that, compared to existing methods, the proposed approach stands out in eliminating numerical dispersion and reducing simulation time by 81.7% while maintaining accuracy, making it particularly effective for HE-IES contingency analysis where solution efficiency is crucial. Subsequently, the proposed contingency analysis method is applied to a 49-node testbed to explore fault propagation mechanism across subsystems. The result reveals that faults originating from the power system and combined heat and power units can cause cascading effects, leading to severe impacts on power supply and heating temperatures. In contrast, faults from the heating system tend to propagate in a less complicated manner but pose a greater risk to the hydraulic system. To mitigate fault propagation, we recommend enhanced monitoring of the operational status of coupling equipment, which plays a critical role in ensuring HE-IES security. © 2010-2012 IEEE.

This paper is concerned with the dynamic coverage of multiple autonomous surface vehicles (ASVs) in the presence of static and dynamic obstacles, limited communication distance, and measurement noises. A modular control method including planning, guidance, and control is proposed. At the planning level, a swarm-based dynamic coverage strategy is developed to achieve the coverage of a given domain. Both the collision avoidance and connectivity preservation issues are solved by using artificial potential fields. At the kinematic level, novel adaptive line-of-sight guidance laws are presented based on cascade extended state observers (CESOs), such that accurate guidance signals are given by compensating for time-varying sideslip angle and suppressing measurement noises. At the kinetic level, two CESOs are developed to estimate the internal model uncertainties and external environmental disturbance, and antidisturbance kinetic control laws are designed subsequently. The proposed CESOs overcome the noises sensitivity problem of classical observers, and thus facilitate the practical implementation under measurement noises. The input-to-state stability of the closed-loop system is confirmed by the Lyapunov theory and cascade stability theory. Simulation and hardware-in-the-loop experiment results are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed swarm-based dynamic coverage method. © 1967-2012 IEEE.

This paper mainly discusses two kinds of coupled reaction-diffusion neural networks (CRNN) under topology attacks, that is, the cases with multistate couplings and with multiple spatial-diffusion couplings. On one hand, by adopting state feedback control scheme, the problem of the lag synchronization for the multistate coupled CRNN is addressed. Moreover, the influences of external disturbances for the lag synchronization of the CRNN with multistate couplings are also taken into consideration. On the other hand, several lag and lag H∞ synchronization conditions for CRNN with multiple spatial-diffusion couplings are derived under the help of the Kronecker product and the state feedback control method. Finally, two numerical examples are provided to verify the correctness of the derived criteria. © 2014 IEEE.

The microgrid is the key development direction of distributed energy. However, the performance indicators of its low-voltage side interface are often affected under complex operating conditions. To address this problem in a targeted manner, a linkage compensatory active disturbance rejection controller (LC-ADRC) that considers both the higher-order perturbation model and object model information is proposed. In this work, the extended state observer (ESO) and the feedback control law of the LC-ADRC are reconstructed according to the interleaved parallel bi-directional converter (IBC) characteristics, and the theoretical analysis shows that the dynamic response and immunity to disturbances of the IBC under typical conditions can be improved simultaneously. Finally, the experimental curves and test indexes obtained from the 300-watt test platform designed for these operating conditions verified the accuracy of the theoretical analysis. © 2023 IEEE.

The new era of Nanotechnology has found wider applications in all domains of science and technology. The greatest advantage of using Nanoparticles is due to the properties of "Reusability" and "Change of properties in the Nanoscale". These unique properties of Nanoparticles when clubbed with proper instrumentation may prove to be a valuable intervention in saving the water resources of the environment currently being polluted by the Dyeing Industries (Ong et al. in Water 3:157–176, 2011). Conventionally, Nanoparticles’ application in water treatment is generally limited to the filtration of drinking water. We are extending its scope to industrial effluent treatment since dye degradation is one valuable property of Nanoparticles. The organic dye "Congo Red" which is used by textile industries is left out in wastewater. This will be treated with Nickel Oxide Nanoparticles as part of the effluent treatment. Hence, this would result in achieving perfect color-free recycled water. Deep Security Detection Framework Based on ATT&CK

It is urgent to establish an efficient and comprehensive security system architecture facing the increasingly severe network threat. Aiming at the security problems in information systems, a deep security detection framework based on ATT&CK is proposed. There are three modules: information collection, analysis engine, and security response. The anomaly detection results of the technical layer based on ATT&CK knowledge base association analysis are mapped to the attack links of the tactical layer, thus realizing the bottom-up system security detection. An improved transformer anomaly detection method based on FLOATER positional coding is applied in the security detection framework to realize the early detection of network threats. Based on the continuous dynamic system, the positional coding function is learned to capture the temporal features of the sequence. Then multi-head attention is used to encode the input sequence. Moreover, the model training is optimized by the adversarial method. The experimental results demonstrated that the method applied in this work outperforms traditional deep learning models in terms of detection accuracy and F1 score. © 2022,International Journal of Network Security. In order to improve the accuracy of estimating the state of charge (SOC) of zinc-bromine flow batteries (ZBFB) in the discharge stage and overcome the problems caused by sudden voltage changes, this paper proposes an algorithm for estimating and correcting the SOC. The core contribution is the proposal of an improved Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) neural network algorithm, which considers the effect of the circulating pump speed on the battery voltage during the discharge stage, and establishes a neural network model for the battery. The estimation result of the improved LSTM network has a mean square error of 3.322, representing a 12% improvement in estimation accuracy compared to the traditional LSTM network. Additionally, Kalman filtering is employed for error mitigation to further enhance estimation accuracy. After applying the proposed method, the maximum error between the estimated SOC and the actual SOC is 1.91%, and the average error is 0.30%. This indicates that the proposed method improves the accuracy of SOC estimation through enhanced real-time LSTM network estimation and Kalman filtering error cancellation, particularly during voltage sudden change in the discharge of ZBFB. © 2024 IEEE.

With the development of high-quality economy, modern people are facing various health challenges while their living standards are improving, the risk of disease is rising, and the need for health is urgent and growing. Traditional Chinese medicine food therapy culture is in line with the pursuit of healthy lifestyle in modern society, and is favored by more and more people. In this paper, questionnaires were distributed online and offline for investigation, K-means algorithm was used to cluster and build user portraits, population needs with different individual characteristics were subdivided, and decision tree regression algorithm was used to predict user dietary therapy behavior. The results show that the analysis of dietary therapy users according to the above method is accurate, and the fine division of users is conducive to the characteristic development of dietary therapy culture. © 2024 IEEE.

Higher-order properties and extensions for indirect MRAC and APPC of linear systems

Recently, a reference derived some new higher-order output tracking properties for direct model reference adaptive control（MRAC） of linear time-invariant（LTI） systems: limt→∞ e（i）（t） = 0, i = 1,..., n*-1, where n*and e（i）（t） denote the relative degree of the system and the i-th derivative of the output tracking error, respectively. However, a naturally arising question involves whether indirect adaptive control（including indirect MRAC and indirect adaptive pole placement control） of LTI systems still has higher-order tracking properties. Such properties have not been reported in the literature. Therefore, this paper provides an affirmative answer to this question. Such higher-order tracking properties are new discoveries since they hold without any additional design conditions and, in particular, without the persistent excitation condition. Given the higher-order properties, a new adaptive control system is developed with stronger tracking features.（1） It can track a reference signal with any order derivatives being unknown.（2） It has higher-order exponential or practical output tracking properties.（3） Finally, it is different from the usual MRAC system, whose reference signal's derivatives up to the n*order are assumed to be known. Finally, two simulation examples are provided to verify the theoretical results obtained in this paper.
