To address parameter uncertainty in the two-wheel balance vehicle (TWBV) system, a closed-loop subspace algorithm (CLSA) was employed to identify and correct uncertain structural parameters. This got in a more accurate system model. Based on the dynamics mechanism model of the TWBV, we designed a simple controller to achieve self-balancing control. We harvested the input and output sample data required for identification. The method used to filter out noise from the original signal and extract essential dynamic characteristics of the system is the input-output bias voltage function. The parameters of the dynamics model for the TWBV were subsequently identified and corrected using the CLSA. Finally, the linear quadratic regulator (LQR) controller is designed based on the model obtained from identification and compared with the original unidentified model. The results of the simulation and physical experiment show that the control system with the modified system after identification has better performance. This paper verifies the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy, which provides a reference scheme for solving model uncertainty in similar systems and improving control accuracy. © 2024 IEEE.

The steady-state visual evoked potential (SSVEP) is one of the most commonly used paradigms in the BCI system, which produces a significant response to visual stimuli of a specific frequency. How to better improve the classification performance of SSVEP signals is currently the main task. In this paper, a modified C-CNN-SVM model of EEG signal is proposed, aiming to enhance the precision of SSVEP signal classification. Firstly, spectral features are obtained from the SSVEP signal using fast fourier transform (FFT) as input to the model. FFT obtains 128 data lengths of the SSVEP signal, including 64 real part data and 64 complex part data. Then, CNN is used to further extract features, and finally, support vector machine (SVM) is used for classification. The experimental results show that the modified C-CNN-SVM model achieves an average accuracy of 93.86%, which is better than the traditional CCA, FBCCA and TRCA algorithms. © 2024 IEEE.

We study the problem of global asymptotic stability preservation (GASP) for C0 non-smoothly stabilizable systems with input delay under sampled-data feedback. With the aid of Halanay inequality and the notion of homogeneity, the following sampled-data control results are established under a fast sampling: 1) GAS is preservable if the nonlinear system is homogeneous of degree zero and globally asymptotically stabilizable by homogeneous feedback;2) As a consequence, GAS via sampled-data feedback is achieved for a class of non-smoothly stabilizable systems with input delay in a lower-triangular or upper-triangular form. © 2024 IEEE.

Artificial intelligence systems are usually implemented either using machine learning or expert systems. Machine learning methods are usually more accurate and applicable to a broader range of applications. Expert systems, on the other hand, require much less data for training and generate more comprehensible results. These characteristics are typically desired in the fields of surgery and medicine because there isn't much data available. In order to give a machine's decisions a deeper level of semantics, it is also advantageous to incorporate a doctor's expertise into it. Furthermore, it is safer to understand the reasoning behind a machine's choices. In this paper, a Dempster-Shafer Theory (DST) based expert system is suggested for the task of surgical training skill assessment. An interval-based probabilistic feature analysis was applied to the data to assign values to the mass functions. Zhang's rule of combination was applied to handle the conflicting evidence in the prediction phase. The performance of the proposed method was compared to another DST classifier, SVM, and XGBoost. Our method outperforms SVM and other DST classifiers, but it is not as precise as XGBoost. By reducing the size of the dataset, the added benefit of using an expert system as opposed to a machine learning method was explored further. The performance of the suggested method is not adversely affected by the size of the dataset, whereas the XGBoost classifier is. © 2023 IEEE.

The complex permeability of magnetic cores acts as a vital factor in electromagnetic interference (EMI) filtering choke design and optimization. Many efforts have been reported for toroid cores, but fewer target those with other shapes, such as EE, EI, UU, and UI cores. Owing to their commonly used in planar EMI filters, determining the complex permeability of them is of significance. Targeting EE cores, this paper presents a flexible printed circuit board (PCB)-based fixture adapter tailored designed for performing the measurement, while the corresponding core permeability can be calculated through magnetic flux path length analysis. The experiments validate the effectiveness and accuracy of the proposed methods, spanning a wide frequency range up to 120 MHz. ©2024 IEEE.

Extremely high current/voltage stresses challenge power electronics. This paper proposes a novel series of power converters, collectively referred to as Fractal (F) converters. F converters consist of several identical layers, which further comprise many identical cells or submodules. Salient benefits of F converters include but not limited to 1) modularity and scalability;2) boundless current and voltage ratings;3) high power quality;4) unified control applied to various layers;5) high reliability;6) control flexibility, e.g., for efficiency optimization. F converters will quickly find their applications in 1) high-voltage dc/ac transmissions;2) renewable energy generation;3) power quality enhancement equipment;4) electric vehicles;5) marine and aircraft propulsion;6) medical applications such as noninvasive magnetic stimulators;7) high-frequency high-power power supplies;8) plasma applications;9) future distributed power grids. For validations, simulation results are presented, demonstrating that F converters operate well as high-voltage and high-current inverters as well as arbitrary pulse generators. © 2024 IEEE.

Dear Editor,This letter proposes a new pattern matching method based on word embedding and dynamic time warping(DTW)to identify groups of similar alarm ***,alarm messages are transformed into numeric values that represent alarms and also reflect the relationships between alarm ***,similarities between numerically encoded alarm flood sequences are calculated by DTW and groups of similar floods are identified via *** effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated by a case study with alarm&event data obtained from a public industrial simulation model.

This paper presents a magnetic integration scheme of LCL filter with symmetrical structure. This magnetic integration scheme uses EIE core to realize the inductor integration of symmetrical LCL filter, and realizes the decoupling and integration of upper and lower E-cores. The effectiveness of the magnetic integrated symmetrical LCL filter is verified by simulation and experiment. A 600 W single-phase SiC high-frequency inverter was used as the experimental platform to give the output current harmonic analysis results and conducted EMI noise. The symmetrical LCL filter with integrated structure not only has good harmonic suppression effect, but also greatly improves EMI suppression ability. The integrated filter is significantly smaller weight, helping to increase system power density. © 2023 IEEE.

Photovoltaic power generation system because of the use of energy green environmental protection has been widely concerned by the world, to ensure that the system operation with high efficiency is the premise that the system can operate normally, photovoltaic power generation system is installed in a bad environment, photovoltaic arrays often have a variety of failures, and the number of photovoltaic arrays in the system is large, it is difficult to determine the type of failure and maintenance in time. It seriously affects the efficiency of photovoltaic power generation system, so it is very important to study a method that can detect the failure of photovoltaic power generation system in real time. In this study, the output characteristic curves of various fault conditions were analyzed according to the output characteristic curves of photovoltaic cells, the characteristics that could be distinguished from other fault types were selected, and the fault characteristic values were collected. Then SSA-SVM is used to establish the fault diagnosis model of photovoltaic array, and combined with the simulation experimental data and the data of photovoltaic simulator, the validity of SSA-SVM method is verified. Through model design and algorithm improvement, SSA-SVM is applied to fault diagnosis of photovoltaic array. Compared with IGS-SVM and PSO-SVM, SSA-SVM algorithm has higher stability and shorter time. © 2024 IEEE.

In the information age, advances in decryption technology have made it easier for image information to be stolen, tampered with, and subjected to other malicious actions during the information transmission process. In this study, a hyperchaotic time series based on fuzzy brain emotional learning controller is proposed to realize synchronizttion, and the chaotic masking technology is applied to encrypt and decrypt the image. Simulation results demonstrate that the FBEL controller can attain a high level of synchronization accuracy for the hyperchaotic system. Meanwhile, security test of encrypted images is carried out through distribution histogram, correlation coefficient analysis of adjacent pixels, ciphertext information entropy analysis, etc. Theoretical analysis and simulation results demonstrate that, in comparison to traditional image encryption technology, this approach offers superior security performance and fulfills the requirements of secure communication. © 2023 IEEE.
