This paper deals with the problem of active disturbance rejection control(ADRC)design for a class of uncertain nonlinear systems with sporadic measurements.A novel extended state observer(ESO)is designed in a cascade form consisting of a continuous time estimator,a continuous observation error predictor,and a reset *** proposed ESO estimates not only the system state but also the total uncertainty,which may include the effects of the external perturbation,the parametric uncertainty,and the unknown nonlinear *** a reset compensator,whose state is reset to zero whenever a new measurement arrives,is used to calibrate the *** to the cascade structure,the resulting error dynamics system is presented in a non-hybrid form,and accordingly,analyzed in a general sampled-data system *** on the output of the ESO,a continuous ADRC law is then *** convergence of the resulting closed-loop system is proved under given *** numerical simulations demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control method.

In order to improve the performance of portable energy storage (PES), a dual active bridge (DAB) converter based on linear active disturbance rejection control (LADRC) is studied in this paper. Firstly, a small-signal model of the DAB converter is derived on the basis of its reduced-order model. Subsequently, a line expansion state observer (LESO) is designed to estimate and counteract both internal and external disturbances in real time. Meanwhile, the convergence of LESO is also validated by means of the final-value theorem. Finally, a comparison is conducted between the LADRC and the traditional PI control strategies of DAB converters in Matlab/Simulink. The simulation results indicate that The LADRC control strategy allows for more effective control of the output voltage stability compared to the traditional PI control strategy. © 2023 IEEE.

The current rapid development of China's power transmission and transformation industry, inflatable switchgear has excellent environmental adaptability and small size, in the transmission and distribution network has been widely used. In order to further enhance the application range of inflatable cabinets, it is important to optimize the insulation performance of miniaturized switchgear. In this paper, electrostatic field simulation of 40.5kV inflatable switchgear based on the finite element method is carried out to judge the internal electric field distribution. Simulate and analyze the potential distribution and electric field strength distribution under the operating condition of the circuit breaker of the inflatable switchgear. The simulation results show that the electric field of sulfur hexafluoride in the outer shell of the inflatable switchgear is more concentrated near the poles, and the maximum value of the electric field reaches 78.2kV/mm, which exceeds the breakdown strength of the sulfur hexafluoride medium by 9kV/mm. Subsequently, the problem of excessive localized field strength is solved by studying the effects of conditions such as the length of the metal shielding ring and the radius of the metal crimp on the shielding effect. According to the simulation data, maintaining the volume and basic layout of the existing inflatable switchgear cabinet unchanged, after adding the optimized grounded metal shielding ring, the field strength at the pole and shell can be reduced to less than 9kV/mm, which meets the insulation requirements. The research results of this paper can provide theoretical guidance for the optimal design of the insulation of inflatable switchgear. © 2024 IEEE.

Power electronic converters (PEC) are integral to various sectors, including power systems, transportation, and industrial production, where their reliability significantly influences overall system performance. Despite its importance, current research has not thoroughly addressed the simultaneous impact of component performance degradation and functional failures on electronic system performance. This paper introduces a reliability prediction method for PEC that considers both component performance degradation and functional failure. Initially, digital prototype models of PEC are developed to accurately represent the operational processes and simulate performance under each critical fault mode. To minimize simulation costs, two surrogate models based on neural networks are then established for PEC. Subsequently, through iterative calculations that utilize models of performance degradation and functional failures of components, an analysis of both PEC performance degradation and functional failure states is conducted, facilitating the completion of PEC reliability prediction. This proposed framework for reliability prediction may also be applicable to other electronic systems. © The Institution of engineering & Technology 2024.

Modern agriculture relies heavily on effective process monitoring, control, and remote data collection, making accurate and cost-effective sensors crucial for innovation. This research focuses on the development of a spectroscopy-based device for real-time and remote monitoring of nutrient levels in hydroponic systems. The device utilizes IoT architecture, incorporating principles of light absorbance to quantify concentrations of essential nutrients during crop growth. Three deep learning techniques, Artificial Neural Networks (ANN), Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN), and Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN) were adopted for data analysis. Results demonstrate that tailored implementation of deep learning can significantly enhance the performance of sensor network system (SNS). Specifically, the RNN format achieved an impressive 98% model accuracy during both training and testing phases. The technological advancements in addressing contract variation and photometric levels contribute to increased accuracy as more sensors become available. The findings serve as a comprehensive guide for collecting extensive agricultural data, encompassing environmental factors throughout the entire cultivation period, using state-of-the-art remote control sensor equipment. This work provides a practical, efficient, and cost-effective solution for precise nutrient control and continuous data monitoring in agricultural production. © 2024 IEEE.

The article investigates the structure of a permanent magnet tripping device used in non-polarized DC miniature circuit breakers, proposing a permanent magnet arrangement relative to the moving iron core as an alternative to the traditional built-in spring design. Dynamic and static characteristics of this permanent magnet tripping device were calculated using simulation software and compared with those of a traditional tripping device. The results indicate that when a short-circuit current occurs, the permanent magnet tripping device can execute tripping actions more accurately and rapidly compared to the traditional design, ensuring efficient and stable operation of the miniature circuit breaker. Subsequent transient tripping experiments conducted on circuit breakers equipped with both types of tripping devices validated the accuracy of these findings. © 2024 IEEE.

Vacuum interrupters are widely used in power transmission and distribution systems, vacuum interrupters factory test inspection, some products will appear insulation breakdown phenomenon, resulting in a decline in the overall yield rate. Therefore, this paper is aimed at improving the insulation performance of vacuum interrupter this problem to carry out in-depth research. This paper adopts the finite element analysis method to carry out electric field simulation calculations, through the establishment of a 3D model of the 24kV spiral groove contact vacuum interrupter chamber, insulation optimization of the internal structure of the vacuum interrupter chamber, it can be obtained that the vacuum interrupter chamber overall electric field strength with the reduction of the length of the main shielding cover, overall electric field strength decreases with decreasing angle of the main shield edge flap;72.5kV cup-shaped contact vacuum interrupter using finite element analysis method, change the length of the bellows shield cover for electric field strength simulation calculation. According to the simulation results, the electric field strength at the crest gradually decreases with increasing length of the bellows shield. It is concluded that the length of the main shielding cover of the vacuum interrupter, the angle of turning out of the edge of the main shielding cover, and the length of the bellows shield cover have an important influence on the insulation performance of the vacuum interrupter. © 2024 IEEE.

In order to solve the problems such as cable not easy to bundle and difficulty to open and close the instrument room door caused by too much secondary cables passing through the instrument room of intelligent miniaturized switchgear cabinet, this paper takes the secondary wiring diagram of intelligent miniaturized longitudinal rotary/shift-open sectional isolation cabinet installed in 220kV substation of a certain place as an entry point, analyzes the signal categories, connection methods, signal flow direction among different types of intelligent electronic device (IED), sensors and other components with the terminal internal wiring mode of the instrumentation room. Under the condition of keeping the function of the wiring diagram unchanged and conforming to the wiring regulations, the optimized design of the secondary cable of the instrumentation room door line of the switchgear cabinet is completed by adjusting the space arrangement of the IED and terminals, optimizing the redundant junction, and integrating the design of parts and components by other technical means. After optimization, the total number of secondary cables in the instrument room of the sectional isolation cabinet is reduced from 181 to 97, and the overall optimization rate reaches 46%. This research result can provide reference for intelligent miniaturized switchgear cabinet secondary cable lightweight design. © 2024 IEEE.

The audio signal in the running process of the switchgear contains a lot of operating state information, which is of great significance to the monitoring of the internal insulation fault and abnormal state. In order to accurately identify partial discharge signals and non-partial discharge signals from audio signals collected in the complex environment of switching station, a method of feature extraction and recognition of partial discharge signals based on joint feature and gradient lifting decision tree (GBDT) is proposed. Firstly, the information distribution of partial discharge signal and non-partial discharge signal in time domain, frequency domain and time-frequency domain is analyzed, and corresponding features are extracted to form joint features. Then, GBDT is used to train the model and complete the recognition. Finally, the recognition method is verified, and various combinations are compared with common features and support vector machine (SVM). The recognition accuracy of combined features with GBDT reaches 100%. Based on this method, an online monitoring system is designed, and the audio recording and partial discharge identification results are displayed in the WeChat mini program. The research method and the system designed in this paper can be used for the online analysis and detection of the audio signal of the switchgear, which has certain engineering application value. © 2024 IEEE.

The purpose of this study is to construct a sensorless vector control system for an induction motor (IM) with a promising split-source inverter (SSI) arrangement, along with an effective speed estimation approach. Indirect Magnetic Field Orientation Scheme (IRFOC) is a simplified approach that will be presented for monitoring the rotor speed signal based on the relation of phase-axis for the motor. Extensive analysis to assure the observability of the suggested split-source inverter-based sensorless control system is carried out, and it is supported by results from typical functional tests and parameter modifications. In comparison to the sensorless vector control approach, the results demonstrate the efficacy of the suggested speed estimation method as well as the observability and robustness of the implemented system. © 2023 IEEE.
