Transmission lines are directly exposed to the natural environment and are prone to failure due to meteorological factors. A novel approach for diagnosing transmission line faults under various meteorological conditions has been introduced. This method, known as SDA-ISSA-XGBoost, combines the power of Stacked Denoising Autoencoder (SDA), an improved Sparrow Search Algorithm (ISSA) enhanced with chaotic mapping sequences, adaptive weights, improved iterative local search, and a random differential mutation strategy, and eXtreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost). The process begins with SDA, which extracts essential features from the initial meteorological data. Subsequently, ISSA is applied to optimize the parameters of the XGBoost model. This results in the ISSA-XGBoost fault diagnosis model. The performance of this model is compared to PSO-XGBoost and SSA-XGBoost. The experimental findings demonstrate that the ISSA-XGBoost model achieves an impressive fault diagnosis accuracy of 94.39%, surpassing both PSO-XGBoost and SSA-XGBoost by 6.54% and 3.74%, respectively. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The rapid development of blockchain technology and the rise of Ethereum as its representative platform has triggered a wide range of research and applications. However, this development is also accompanied by new security challenges, among which the Eclipse attack is one of the significant security threats currently facing Ethereum networks. In response to these challenges, we propose an Ethereum Eclipse attack detection method based on a multi-head attention mechanism with Bi-LSTM. This approach utilizes the Bi-LSTM model and multi-head attention mechanism to process time-series data, capturing and focusing on the features most relevant to the Eclipse attack for accurate identification. Additionally, we employ PCA and UMAP dimensionality reduction techniques in data preprocessing to enhance processing efficiency. Experimental results demonstrate that this method distinguishes regular traffic from attack traffic more accurately. Compared to the existing random forest method, our detection approach based on a multi-head attention mechanism with Bi-LSTM achieves a higher detection rate and lower false alarm rate, highlighting its effectiveness in addressing Ethereum network security. © 2023 IEEE.

Syncmers represent a novel class of methods for selecting k-mers that exhibit robustness against mutations in flanking sequences and demonstrate superior conservation in mutated sequences. Nevertheless, syncmers may generate a higher frequency of repetitive seed matches compared to alternative techniques, such as minimizers, which can result in increased computational time. In this article, we introduce weighted minimizer sampling, which integrates weighted minimizer sampling and syncmer sampling to enhance the sensitivity and accuracy of long-read mapping. We modified two state-of-the-art long-read mappers, Minimap2 and Winnowmap, by substituting the sketching sampling methods with weighted minimizer sampling. We assessed their sensitivity and accuracy using simulated and real datasets. The experimental results indicate that weighted minimizer sampling significantly improves the sensitivity and accuracy of long-read mapping. In the field of robotic grasping, grasping tightly stacked objects is a formidable challenge. The presence of non-target objects significantly increases the risk of grasping failure. To solve this problem, the aim is to take action while grasping, reduce clutter, and effectively complete grasping tasks. Based on deep reinforcement learning, the Efficient Learning Grasping(ELG) framework is proposed that integrates pushing actions alongside grasping to efficiently pick up objects from cluttered environments with reduced training time. However, in the process of grasping, the agent is rewarded only when the grasp is successful, so the data collection is extremely inefficient and spends a lot of time on the training of grasping strategy. In our work, two strategies are proposed to improve the training efficiency. First, two mask functions are introduced as prior knowledge to enable the agent to focus on more meaningful regions while ignoring some unnecessary regions, aiming at effective learning. Second, The Pixel Overlap Rate (POR) is introduced to quantify the environment clutter level, and set a new push action reward function based on the POR. The implementation of the above ideas in a simulation environment and transferred the learned models to the real world and verified them in practice. Compared with existing method, our method improves the training efficiency of the initial algorithm while having a higher success rate of grasping. The interactive evolutionary multi-task optimization approach assisted by surrogate models has proven successful in enhancing individualized recommendation performance. However, in light of the dynamically changing user preferences, it becomes imperative to further develop more powerful knowledge sharing strategy to improve the interactive multi-task optimization efficiency. A probability model-assisted search space alignment among multiple tasks method is proposed for knowledge transfer across multi-task environment. Additionally, a diversity maintaining mechanism of the transferred population is proposed to improve the quality and diversity of the initial population in a preference varied multi-task environment. The research demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed approach in achieving effective knowledge transfer across multi-task environmen. Furthermore, the utilization of a high-quality initial population not only enhances the evolutionary search efficiency of the algorithm but also significantly improves the accuracy, diversity., and novelty of personalized recommendation. © 2024 IEEE.

The integration of solar energy harvesting into small-cell networks is a promising solution for achieving energy-efficient and sustainable wireless communications. However, the inherent variability and intermittency of solar energy, coupled with precise inter-cell interference management, significantly hinder efficient network operation. To resolve these challenges, we propose a multi-agent distributed deep Q-network (MA-DDQN) framework, where the distributed base stations learn the optimal transmit power control policies. To further enhance adaptability under varying solar conditions, we present a daily model transfer with a fine-tuning approach, enabling efficient deployment without extensive training overhead. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed methods remarkably improve energy efficiency while maintaining robust adaptability under dynamic solar conditions, revealing their potential for sustainable small-cell network deployments. © 2014 IEEE.
