With the continuous development of human society, the global warming caused by greenhouse gas emissions is becoming more and more serious. In order to better cope with global warming, this paper uses the SARIMA model to predict global temperature. Then, SARIMA (1,1,1) (1,1,1) model is established to forecast the temperature. It is found that the temperature in 2050 and 2100 will not reach 20℃, and the global average temperature is expected to reach 20℃ in about 2180. Through model evaluation, it is found that the R-square of SARIMA model is 0.87. © 2024 SPIE.

Graph neural networks have been widely used in personalized recommendation tasks to predict users’ next behaviors. Recent research efforts have attempted to use hypergraphs to capture higher-order information among items. However, the existing methods ignore the sequential patterns between different sequences, which can be considered as collaborative signals at the sequential level. Moreover, the multifaceted nature of user behaviors is not sufficiently exploited in existing methods, which may mislead the representation learning of items. In addition, the high computational cost limits the application of hypergraph-based methods. To address these challenges, we propose a novel architecture called the sequential hypergraph convolution network (SHCN) for next item recommendation. First, we design a novel data structure, called a sequential hypergraph, that accurately represents the behavior sequence of each user in each sequential hyperedge. Second, a well-designed node-hyperedge propagation method based on the sequential hypergraph is proposed to effectively capture the sequential patterns between different sequences and utilize the multifaceted nature of user behaviors. Third, we propose a hypergraph sampling strategy to improve the computational efficiency of hypergraph convolution. Extensive experiments on four real-world datasets demonstrate that the proposed method consistently outperforms state-of-the-art methods. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Large language models (LLMs) have shown impressive performance on downstream tasks by in-context learning (ICL), which heavily relies on the quality of demonstrations selected from a large set of annotated examples. Recent works claim that in-context learning is robust to noisy demonstrations in text classification. In this work, we show that, on text generation tasks, noisy annotations significantly hurt the performance of in-context learning. To circumvent the issue, we propose a simple and effective approach called Local Perplexity Ranking (LPR), which replaces the "noisy" candidates with their nearest neighbors that are more likely to be clean. Our method is motivated by analyzing the perplexity deviation caused by noisy labels and decomposing perplexity into inherent perplexity and matching perplexity. Our key idea behind LPR is thus to decouple the matching perplexity by performing the ranking among the neighbors in semantic space. Our approach can prevent the selected demonstrations from including mismatched input-label pairs while preserving the effectiveness of the original selection methods. Extensive experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of LPR, improving the EM score by up to 18.75 on common benchmarks with noisy annotations. Learning dynamics of kernel-based deep neural networks in manifolds

Convolutional neural networks(CNNs) obtain promising results via layered kernel convolution and pooling operations, yet the learning dynamics of the kernel remain obscure. We propose a continuous form to describe kernel-based convolutions through integration in neural manifolds. The status of spatial expression is proposed to analyze the stability of kernel-based CNNs. We divide CNN dynamics into the three stages of unstable vibration, collaborative adjusting, and stabilized fluctuation. According to the system control matrix of the kernel, the kernel-based CNN training proceeds via the unstable and stable status and is verified by numerical experiments.

Human skeleton data, which has served in the aspect of human activity recognition, ought to be the most representative biometric characteristics due to its intuitivity and visuality. The state-of-the-art approaches mainly focus on improving modeling spatial correlations within graph topologies. However, the interframes motional representations are also of vital importance, and we argue that they are worth paying attention to and exploring. Therefore, a temporal refinement module with contrastive learning mechanism is proposed, fuzing as a complementary to the conventional spatial graph convolution layer. In addition, in order to further exploiting the interframe variances and generalizing graph convolutional network (GCN) operation to temporal dimension, a temporal-correlation matrix is introduced to effectively capture dynamic dependencies within frame-pairs, enhancing semantic feature representation. Moreover, since GCN is a typical local operator which lacks of capability to fully model the long-term relations along spatial and temporal variation, to move beyond the limitation, a spatial-temporal cascaded aggregation (STCA) module is designed to enlarge the receptive filter scale. The overall recognition framework consists of three above novelties, which is capable of achieving remarkable performance by evaluating on benchmark datasets (i.e., NTU RGB+D 60, NTU RGB+D 120, PKU-MMD, and Kinetics Skeleton 400). Extensive experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed framework, e.g., performing recognition accuracy rate of 90.9% and 96.8% on NTU RGB+D 60, 87.9% and 88.9% on NTU RGB+D 120. © 2020 IEEE.

Channel state information (CSI)-based human activity recognition (HAR) receives increasing research interests due to its broad applications such as human-computer interaction, health care, and security surveillance. Deep learning (DL) methods have been widely adopted on CSI-based HAR tasks to extract features automatically, overcoming the complexity and unstableness of manual feature extraction process. However, many DL approaches fail to customize the designed model structure with the input CSI tensor shape, applying DL models recklessly. In addition, some researchers utilize attention mechanism yet independently along temporal, spatial, or frequency dimension. To address these issues, we propose an end-to-end comprehensive residual convolution framework, namely CHA-Sens, for general CSI-based human activity sensing. CHA-Sens consists of several comprehensive residual convolution modules (CRCM) that feature adaptive kernel size and stride, regional parameter-free attention mechanism and shortcut of identity mapping. Extensive experiments are conducted on three public CSI datasets for recognizing both single human activity (SHA) and human-to-human interaction (HHI) to show the superiority of the proposed design over other state-of-the-art benchmarks. © 2023 IEEE.

Federated Learning (FL) is a distributed machine learning framework that enhances privacy by enabling multiple participants to train a global model without sharing their raw data. However, FL still faces the threat posed by data and Byzantine attacks (e.g., data poisoning and model poisoning attacks) from malicious clients aimed to decrease the FL global training accuracy. Previous studies have proposed solutions to improve the robustness of FL systems. However, these robust approaches have not effectively defended against Byzantine attacks from malicious clients in non-Independent and Identically Distributed (non-IID) environments, decreasing overall training accuracy. In this work to address this issues, we propose a new defence framework that aims to enhance model accuracy against Byzantine attacks from malicious clients in non-IID environments. In our approach, the central server performs the Inverse Deep Learning Gradient attack using the gradient data submitted by users in each round, obtaining an inversed artificial gradient. We then assess the squared L2 norm difference between this inversed gradient and the actual gradients to detect malicious clients. Simultaneously, we assign weights to each client involved in the aggregation based on differences in the squared L2 norm, aiming to minimize the impact of malicious actors on the overall model. We have experimentally evaluated our method and demonstrated its ability to maintain training accuracy under attack in non-IID environments using standard datasets. © 2024 IEEE.

The rapid expansion and diversification of internet traffic pose a pressing demand for accurate classification of diverse application streams in network management and security monitoring. This paper introduces a deep learning-based method for precise classification of diverse internet application streams in network. By transforming raw traffic data into grayscale images and utilizing Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) and the Swin-Transformer framework, critical information is extracted at both local and global feature levels. The core of this method is offering a visual representation of the structure and content of traffic data. This visual representation enables subsequent feature extraction and classification. Through experimentation across various applications including email, Skype, YouTube, Vimeo, FTP, and Facebook, the proposed method in traffic classification is demonstrated to be effective. This approach boosts traffic classification accuracy, offers innovation in network management and security monitoring, and holds vital importance in optimizing network performance and security. Provably Secure Conditional-Privacy Access Control Protocol for Intelligent Customers-Centric Communication in VANET

Globally, the development of Intelligent Cyber-Physical Transportation Systems (ICTS) aims to tackle several challenges, including reducing traffic accidents and fuel usage, alleviating congestion, shortening travel time, and enhancing overall transportation safety. These systems leverage advanced customer-centric communication and networked control methods, such as inter-vehicle, vehicle-to-roadside (V2R), and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication through the use of vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs) to cover all aspects of transportation-based information. In existing systems, once devices are registered with a Trusted Authority (TA), subsequent authentication still relies on the TA's assistance. However, these devices typically remain stationary, and frequent interaction with the TA becomes impractical and costly in highly mobile VANET environments. To address this challenge, we propose a secure access control protocol with conditional privacy for VANETs. Unlike other protocols, our protocol does not require the TA's involvement during authentication between vehicles and RSUs. Additionally, our protocol leverages pseudonym mechanisms to provide conditional privacy, enabling legitimate vehicles to remain anonymous while malicious ones can be tracked. Our proposed scheme is supported by both formal and informal security analyses and has been shown to be secure against several known attacks in VANETs. Furthermore, compared to relevant studies, our protocol achieves 30.2505% of efficiency in terms of computation cost and 11.09276% of efficiency in terms of communication cost, respectively. © 1975-2011 IEEE.
