In this paper, we develop a 3D based CNN for Improved Segmentation of Paddy Fields from the HSI. Within the scope of this research, we will investigate a unique deep learning model, specifically 3D-CNN. In order to evaluate the validity of the model, it is applied to three separate datasets, each of which is then subjected to one of four distinct dimensionality reduction strategies. The purpose of this is to determine which of these four models is the most effective at reducing the number of dimensions. According to the findings, the 3D-CNN model is superior to both the AlexNet and CNN models in terms of the accuracy of its segmentations. In addition to this, the findings demonstrate that the 3D-CNN models perform better than the other approaches in terms of segmentation accuracy with a smaller number of datasets. © 2023 IEEE.

Simulation of electrophysiological cardiac models plays a critical role in enabling researchers to investigate the heart’s activity under various conditions. In this domain, the cell model assumes a significant position, as its accuracy and complexity have a direct impact on the reliability of simulation outcomes. Presently, most cell models are grounded in the Hodgkin-Huxley theory. However, some of these models prove sensitive to the initial values or time steps utilized in solving ordinary differential equations (ODEs). With the rapid advancements in deep learning, the application of this technology has expanded beyond image processing. In this paper, we propose a novel method to construct a cell model based on a neural network. Through experiments, we demonstrate that our new model exhibits high accuracy and robustness when compared to traditional cell models. The results validate the potential of employing deep learning techniques to enhance the reliability and performance of cardiac simulations, opening new avenues for future research in this domain. © 2023 IEEE.

This system provides a comprehensive overview of hospital environments by tracking air quality, dust, temperature, and humidity simultaneously, offering a more complete picture of indoor conditions than systems that focus on fewer parameters. The use of IoT technology enables real-time monitoring and alerts, allowing hospital staff to respond immediately to any issues. Additionally, predictive analytics anticipate future changes, giving staff time to take preventive measures. Several digital dangers were investigated. Malware dominated analysis with 45 attacks. We found 30 phishing attacks. 22 data breaches, 15 cyber espionage, 18 identity theft. This indicates the kind and frequency of harassment digital forensic specialists endure. Digital evidence was crucial to the case. 65 pieces of evidence were collected on computers. 42 incidents showed smartphones and tablets' digital investigative potential. There were 55 examples of communication patterns requiring network logs. In 28 and 12, cloud services and removable media provided proof. A wide range of evidence sources stresses the need for extensive collecting. Digital forensics were essential to the inquiry. In 70% of cases, disk imaging software created forensic copies of metadata-and timestamp-containing storage media. Network packet analyzers examined 48 traffic logs and communication patterns. To analyze volatile memory, 35 cases used memory forensics. In 25 cases, malware analysis platforms decrypted malware. In 60 situations, file recovery software recovered lost or hidden files. Digital forensic specialists' diverse arsenal for thorough investigations is shown here. Legal and ethical considerations dominated the study. The law was important, and all inquiries followed norms. A strong chain of custody protects evidence integrity and admissibility. The data privacy rules were respected. Legal evidence is admissible in court. Ethics ensured objective investigations. This underlines digital forensic investigations' legal and ethical foundation. © 2024 IEEE.

Weakly-supervised Temporal Action Localization (WTAL) following a localization-by-classification paradigm has achieved significant results, yet still grapples with confounding arising from ambiguous snippets. Previous works have attempted to distinguish these ambiguous snippets from action snippets without investigating the underlying causes of their formation, thus failing to effectively eliminate the bias on both action-context and action-content. In this paper, we revisit WTAL from the perspective of structural causal model to identify the true origins of confounding, and propose an efficient dual-confounding eliminating framework to alleviate these biases. Specifically, we construct a Substituted Confounder Set (SCS) to eliminate the confounding bias on action-context by leveraging the modal disparity between RGB and FLOW. Then, a Multi-level Consistency Mining (MCM) method is designed to mitigate the confounding bias on action-content by utilizing the consistency between discriminative snippets and corresponding proposals at both the feature and label levels. Notably, SCS and MCM could be seamlessly integrated into any two-stream models without additional parameters by Expectation-Maximization (EM) algorithm. Extensive experiments on two challenging benchmarks including THUMOS14 and ActivityNet-1.2 demonstrate the superior performance of our method. © 2024 ACM.

Image authentication is one technique that provides integrity protection for digital images, making them sensitive to any slight modification. Recently, the detectability of absolute moment block truncation coding (AMBTC) compressed images has been attracting more attention due to its integrity authentication concerns. Thus, this paper proposes an effective N-variant AMBTC based image authentication scheme for AMBTC compressed images. First, a novel AMBTC compression code is derived using a variant AMBTC technique that can provide a better quality of compressed images. Then, each AMBTC compression code is further eliminated into a version requiring fewer bits using the proposed N-variant AMBTC technique, and those vacated N-bits are used to conceal authentication codes, which is generated by hashing the AMBTC compression code and location information. Experimental results confirm that the proposed scheme has superior stability and accuracy in tampering detection while providing better visual quality of the watermarked image. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature.

Background: The application of classsification methods through multivariate and machine learning techniques has enormous significance in agricultural sector. It is vital to classify various types of seeds as well as identify the quality of seeds which has a great impact on the production of crops. There is a wide range of genetic variations in dry beans all over the world. Many studies have been conducted previously on various dataset to indentify the sorts of dry beans, however most of them focused on machine learning techniques with binary classification. Objective: The aim of this study is to investigate a reliable classifier which has the lowest noise implications and establish an algorithm for dry bean classification effectively. This paper focuses on outlier removals, oversampling with Adaptive Synthetic (ADASYN) algorithm and finding the best classifier to guarantee the highest possible accuracy. Methods: The raw dataset for this study was accessed from UCI Machine Learning Repository. The dataset contained grains having 16 features, 12 dimensions, and 4 distinct shapes. For the purpose of eliminating missing values from the dataset, interquartile range (IQR) with python programming was utilized. Eight most popular classifiers were used in this study which are Logistic Regression (LR), Naïve Bayes (NB), k-Nearest Neighbor (KNN), Decision Tree (DT), Random Forest (RF), Extreme Gradient Boosting (XGB), Support Vector Machine (SVM), and Multilayer Perception (MLP) with balanced and imbalanced classes. The authors utilized frequency tables, bar diagrams, boxplots, analysis of variance for descriptive analysis as well as data preprocessing. Results: The XGB classifier preferably outperformed than other classifiers with balanced and imbalanced distribution of dry beans within each class. With the rapid development of the fifth-generation wireless communication systems, a profound revolution in terms of transmission capacity, energy efficiency, reliability, latency, and connectivity is highly expected to support a new batch of industries and applications. To achieve this goal, wireless networks are becoming extremely dynamic, heterogeneous, and complex. The modeling and optimization for the performance of realworld wireless networks are extremely challenging due to the difficulty to predict the network performance as a function of network parameters, and the prohibitively huge number of parameters to optimize. The conventional network modeling and optimization approaches rely on drive test, trial-and-error, and engineering experience,which are labor intensive, error-prone, and far from optimal. On the other hand, while the research community has spent significant efforts in understanding the fundamental limits of radio channels and developing physical layer techniques to operate close to it, very little is known about the performance limits of wireless networks, where millions of radio channels interact with one another in complex manners. This paper reviews the very recent mathematical and learning based techniques for modeling and optimizing the performance of real-world wireless networks in five aspects, including channel modeling, user demand and traffic modeling, throughput modeling and prediction, network parameter optimization, and IRS empowered performance optimization, and also presents the corresponding notable performance gains.

Unsupervised domain adaptation excels in transferring knowledge from a labeled source domain to an unlabeled target domain, playing a critical role in time series applications. Existing time series domain adaptation methods either ignore frequency features or treat temporal and frequency features equally, which makes it challenging to fully exploit the advantages of both types of features. In this paper, we delve into transferability and discriminability, two crucial properties in transferable representation learning. It's insightful to note that frequency features are more discriminative within a specific domain, while temporal features show better transferability across domains. Based on the findings, we propose Adversarial CO-learning Networks (ACON), to enhance transferable representation learning through a collaborative learning manner in three aspects: (1) Considering the multi-periodicity in time series, multi-period frequency feature learning is proposed to enhance the discriminability of frequency features;(2) Temporal-frequency domain mutual learning is proposed to enhance the discriminability of temporal features in the source domain and improve the transferability of frequency features in the target domain;(3) Domain adversarial learning is conducted in the correlation subspaces of temporal-frequency features instead of original feature spaces to further enhance the transferability of both features. Extensive experiments conducted on a wide range of time series datasets and five common applications demonstrate the state-of-the-art performance of ACON. In Beyond the Fifth Generation(B5G)heterogeneous edge networks,numerous users are multiplexed on a channel or served on the same frequency resource block,in which case the transmitter applies coding and the receiver uses interference ***,uncoordinated radio resource allocation can reduce system throughput and lead to user inequity,for this reason,in this paper,channel allocation and power allocation problems are formulated to maximize the system sum rate and minimum user achievable *** the construction model is non-convex and the response variables are high-dimensional,a distributed Deep Reinforcement Learning(DRL)framework called distributed Proximal Policy Optimization(PPO)is proposed to allocate or assign ***,several simulated agents are trained in a heterogeneous environment to find robust behaviors that perform well in channel assignment and power ***,agents in the collection stage slow down,which hinders the learning of other ***,a preemption strategy is further proposed in this paper to optimize the distributed PPO,form DP-PPO and successfully mitigate the straggler *** experimental results show that our mechanism named DP-PPO improves the performance over other DRL methods.
