data race is one of the most important concurrent anomalies in multi-threaded *** con-straint-based techniques are leveraged into race detection,which is able to find all the races that can be found by any oth-er sound race ***,this constraint-based approach has serious limitations on helping programmers analyze and understand data ***,it may report a large number of false positives due to the unrecognized dataflow propa-gation of the ***,it recommends a wide range of thread context switches to schedule the reported race(in-cluding the false one)whenever this race is exposed during the constraint-solving *** ad hoc recommendation imposes too many context switches,which complicates the data race *** address these two limitations in the state-of-the-art constraint-based race detection,this paper proposes DFTracker,an improved constraint-based race detec-tor to recommend each data race with minimal thread context ***,we reduce the false positives by ana-lyzing and tracking the dataflow in the *** this means,DFTracker thus reduces the unnecessary analysis of false race *** further propose a novel algorithm to recommend an effective race schedule with minimal thread con-text switches for each data *** experimental results on the real applications demonstrate that 1)without removing any true data race,DFTracker effectively prunes false positives by 68%in comparison with the state-of-the-art constraint-based race detector;2)DFTracker recommends as low as 2.6-8.3(4.7 on average)thread context switches per data race in the real world,which is 81.6%fewer context switches per data race than the state-of-the-art constraint based race ***,DFTracker can be used as an effective tool to understand the data race for programmers.

Label enhancement (LE) is still a challenging task to mitigate the dilemma of the lack of label distribution. Existing LE work typically focuses on primarily formulating a projection between feature space and label distribution space from discriminative model perspective, which preserves the relevance consistency that the sign of recovered label distribution should be consistent with the logical label. Different from previous algorithms, we formulate this problem from a causal perspective and present a novel LE method via the structured causal model (LESCM). Specifically, the proposed LESCM deliberates establishing the causal graph with assuming that label distribution is a cause of feature and logical label, which naturally satisfies the definition of label distribution learning (LDL). With capturing the underlying causal relationships, we can significantly boost the interpretability and identifiability of label enhancement. Meanwhile, except for the relevance consistency, LESCM are encouraged to sustain the order consistency that assigns higher description degree of the recovered label distribution to the positive labels, as compared with the negative labels. Empirically, sufficient experiments on several label distribution learning data sets validate the effectiveness of LESCM. © 1989-2012 IEEE.

High-speed encrypted traffic classification by using payload features

Traffic encryption techniques facilitate cyberattackers to hide their presence and *** classification is an important method to prevent network ***,due to the tremendous traffic volume and limitations of computing,most existing traffic classification techniques are inapplicable to the high-speed network *** this paper,we propose a High-speed Encrypted Traffic Classification(HETC)method containing two ***,to efficiently detect whether traffic is encrypted,HETC focuses on randomly sampled short flows and extracts aggregation entropies with chi-square test features to measure the different patterns of the byte composition and distribution between encrypted and unencrypted ***,HETC introduces binary features upon the previous features and performs fine-grained traffic classification by combining these payload features with a Random Forest *** experimental results show that HETC can achieve a 94%F-measure in detecting encrypted flows and a 85%–93%F-measure in classifying fine-grained flows for a 1-KB flow-length dataset,outperforming the state-of-the-art comparison ***,HETC does not need to wait for the end of the flow and can extract mass computing *** average time for HETC to process each flow is only 2 or 16 ms,which is lower than the flow duration in most cases,making it a good candidate for high-speed traffic classification.

Safety-certified Receding-horizon Motion Planning and Containment Control of Autonomous Surface Vehicles via Neurodynamic Optimization

This paper addresses the safety-certified motion planning and containment control of under-actuated autonomous surface vehicles subject to model uncertainties, external disturbances, and input constraints in the presence of stationary and moving obstacles. A three-level modular control architecture is proposed with a trajectory generation module at its planning level, an adaptive guidance module at its guidance level, and a kinetic control module at its control level. Specifically, at the planning level, a safety-certified containment trajectory generator is designed to generate safe trajectories over a rolling time window to achieve containment formation and collision avoidance with neighboring ASVs, stationary obstacles, and moving obstacles via dynamic control barrier functions and twotimescale neurodynamic optimization models. At the guidance level, an adaptive line-of-sight guidance law is developed based on a finite-time predictor to estimate unknown sideslip angles and generate guidance commands. At the control level, an optimal control law is designed based on finite-time neural predictors and control Lyapunov functions for the autonomous surface vehicle with input constraints to follow the desired guidance commands. The effectiveness and characteristics of the proposed method are demonstrated via simulations and hardware-in-theloop experiments for cooperative exploration. IEEE

In this paper,we address the problem of unsuperised social network embedding,which aims to embed network nodes,including node attributes,into a latent low dimensional *** recent methods,the fusion mechanism of node attributes and network structure has been proposed for the problem and achieved impressive prediction ***,the non-linear property of node attributes and network structure is not efficiently fused in existing methods,which is potentially helpful in learning a better network *** this end,in this paper,we propose a novel model called ASM(Adaptive Specific Mapping)based on encoder-decoder *** encoder,we use the kernel mapping to capture the non-linear property of both node attributes and network *** particular,we adopt two feature mapping functions,namely an untrainable function for node attributes and a trainable function for network *** the mapping functions,we obtain the low dimensional feature vectors for node attributes and network structure,***,we design an attention layer to combine the learning of both feature vectors and adaptively learn the node *** encoder,we adopt the component of reconstruction for the training process of learning node attributes and network *** conducted a set of experiments on seven real-world social network *** experimental results verify the effectiveness and efficiency of our method in comparison with state-of-the-art baselines.

A Graph-Assisted Digital-Twin-Driven Multiagent Shared Offloading for Internet of Vehicles

Vehicular edge computing (VEC) allows vehicles to process part of the tasks locally at the network edge while offloading the rest of the tasks to a centralized cloud server for processing. A massive volume of tasks generated by the Internet of Vehicles (IoV) leads to buffer overflow that causes higher latency. Elevating latency, in turn, can increase network energy consumption. Both higher latency and energy consumption lead to a degradation of network performance. Therefore, VEC design requires a balance between latency and energy consumption tradeoff. To reduce overwhelming amount of offloading to edge servers, a cooperative cluster-based shared offloading strategy has been proposed in this work. We use digital twin technology in VEC for managing and adapting to environmental dynamic changes. Then, we leverage Lyapunov (Ly) optimization to transform the stochastic offloading problem into a more manageable deterministic form. Finally, we present a decentralized coordination graph (CG)-driven Ly-based multiagent deep deterministic policy gradient (CG-LyMADDPG) algorithm that trains agents toward energy efficient optimal offloading policy while maintaining queue stability at a maximum delay constraint. The experimental result shows that the proposed learning significantly outperforms the baseline algorithms for energy savings while maintain queue stability. © 2014 IEEE.

Advanced functional connectivity analysis with integrated EEG signal enhancement and GTW-EEG-GAN for emotion detection

Emotion recognition is crucial in human-computer interaction and psychological research, utilizing modalities such as facial expressions, voice intonations, and EEG signals. This research investigates AI-driven techniques by employing Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) on functional connectivity matrices derived from EEG data to advance emotion recognition. Our approach integrates sophisticated preprocessing methods, including Integrated EEG Signal Enhancement (IESE) and novel augmentation techniques such as Gaussian Time Warping Generative Adversarial Network (GTW-EEG-GAN). This integration aims at enhancing data quality and diversity. Signal decomposition using EMD-Wavelet Hybrid Decomposition further refines feature extraction, enabling robust analysis of EEG signals. Functional connectivity metrics capture critical neural interactions intended for precise emotion characterization. The GNN architecture effectively processes these features, achieving significant accuracy improvements. Evaluations on the DEAP dataset demonstrate promising results, attaining 94.5% accuracy before hyperparameter tuning and further improving to 98.6% after tuning, highlighting the system's efficacy. The methodology showcases the integration of advanced signal processing techniques with AI, offering a comprehensive framework for future studies. The findings advocate potential applications in areas such as personalized mental health monitoring, adaptive learning environments, and responsive gaming experiences, demonstrating the broad impact and versatility of AI-driven EEG-based emotion recognition. © 2024 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group.

The effectiveness of facial expression recognition(FER)algorithms hinges on the model’s quality and the availability of a substantial amount of labeled expression ***,labeling large datasets demands significant human,time,and financial *** active learning methods have mitigated the dependency on extensive labeled data,a cold-start problem persists in small to medium-sized expression recognition *** issue arises because the initial labeled data often fails to represent the full spectrum of facial expression *** paper introduces an active learning approach that integrates uncertainty estimation,aiming to improve the precision of facial expression recognition regardless of dataset scale *** method is divided into two primary ***,the model undergoes self-supervised pre-training using contrastive learning and uncertainty estimation to bolster its feature extraction ***,the model is fine-tuned using the prior knowledge obtained from the pre-training phase to significantly improve recognition *** the pretraining phase,the model employs contrastive learning to extract fundamental feature representations from the complete unlabeled *** features are then weighted through a self-attention mechanism with rank ***,data from the low-weighted set is relabeled to further refine the model’s feature extraction *** pre-trained model is then utilized in active learning to select and label information-rich samples more *** results demonstrate that the proposed method significantly outperforms existing approaches,achieving an improvement in recognition accuracy of 5.09%and 3.82%over the best existing active learning methods,Margin,and Least Confidence methods,respectively,and a 1.61%improvement compared to the conventional segmented active learning method.

Multi-Dimensional Training Optimization for Efficient Federated Synergy Learning

Edge learning (EL) is an end-to-edge collaborative learning paradigm enabling devices to participate in model training and data analysis, opening countless opportunities for edge intelligence. As a promising EL framework, federated synergy learning (FSyL) mitigates the computation and communication overhead on resource-constrained devices by offloading partial model layers to the edge server for synergistic training. Nevertheless, due to the system and statistical heterogeneity, naively using existing FSyL methods is significantly time-consuming and causes accuracy degradation. Motivated by this issue, this paper introduces a novel FSyL framework that integrates multi-dimensional training optimization and formulates the edge learning cost minimization (ELCM) problem. To tackle the ELCM efficiently, we design OL-MG, an OnLine Model Splitting and Resource Provisioning Game. Specifically, we first reformulate and decompose the original ELCM based on data quality evaluation. Then, given a model splitting decision, we determine the optimal resource provisioning in Sub-problem1, based on which optimal model splitting in Sub-problem2 is modeled as a potential game. Subsequently, we introduce a decentralized algorithm to find a Nash equilibrium (NE) solution. Furthermore, we further extend OL-MG to support a budget-aware multi-edge scenario. Extensive experiments demonstrate that the proposed mechanism significantly outperforms state-of-the-art methods in cost-saving and accuracy improvement. © 2025 IEEE.

Under the wave of digital transformation, remote collaboration has become the new normal in the daily operation of enterprises. But at the same time, the risk of sensitive data leakage and the insufficiency of protection measures have increasingly become the focus of attention, posing a severe challenge to enterprise data security. To address this challenge, this paper proposes an innovative comprehensive data leakage prevention technical solution. This solution integrates cloud services and kernel technology and creates a set of data security protection systems for the remote collaboration working environment. This technical solution adopts a series of effective technical means, including asymmetric encryption, one-way data flow control, dynamic digital watermarking technology, injection attack defense, and program anti-hanging mechanism, significantly enhancing the security of data in the collaborative office system. The constructed framework includes multiple modules such as user management, service support, kernel driver, and user terminal. This technical solution can be integrated with enterprise remote collaboration office software, providing a higher level of security guarantee for the remote office environment, effectively curbing the risk of sensitive data leakage, and also providing solid technical support for the healthy and stable development of remote collaboration work. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).
