With the rapid development of information technology,the electronifi-cation of medical records has gradually become a *** China,the population base is huge and the supporting medical institutions are numerous,so this reality drives the conversion of paper medical records to electronic medical *** medical records are the basis for establishing a smart hospital and an important guarantee for achieving medical intelligence,and the massive amount of electronic medical record data is also an important data set for conducting research in the medical ***,electronic medical records contain a large amount of private patient information,which must be desensitized before they are used as open ***,to solve the above problems,data masking for Chinese electronic medical records with named entity recognition is proposed in this ***,the text is vectorized to satisfy the required format of the model ***,since the input sentences may have a long or short length and the relationship between sentences in context is not *** this end,a neural network model for named entity recognition based on bidirectional long short-term memory(BiLSTM)with conditional random fields(CRF)is ***,the data masking operation is performed based on the named entity recog-nition results,mainly using regular expression filtering encryption and principal component analysis(PCA)word vector compression and *** addi-tion,comparison experiments with the hidden markov model(HMM)model,LSTM-CRF model,and BiLSTM model are conducted in this *** experi-mental results show that the method used in this paper achieves 92.72%Accuracy,92.30%Recall,and 92.51%F1_score,which has higher accuracy compared with other models.

Geometric representation of query embeddings (using points, particles, rectangles and cones) can effectively achieve the task of answering complex logical queries expressed in first-order logic (FOL) form over knowledge graphs, allowing intuitive encodings. However, current geometric-based methods depend on the neural approach to model FOL operators (conjunction, disjunction and negation), which are not easily explainable with considerable computation cost. We overcome this challenge by introducing a symbolic modeling approach for the FOL operators, emphasizing the direct calculation of the intersection between geometric shapes, particularly sector-cones in the embedding space, to model the conjunction operator. This approach reduces the computation cost as a non-neural approach is involved in the core logic operators. Moreover, we propose to accelerate the learning in the relation projection operator using the neural approach to emphasize the essential role of this operator in all query structures. Although empirical evidence for explainability is challenging, our approach demonstrates a significant improvement in answering complex logical queries (both non-negative and negative FOL forms) over previous geometric-based models. © 2023 Association for Computational Linguistics.

The intellectual and immense attainment of a smart city and auto-mobile vehicles are gradually growing. This growth drives Vehicular Ad-Hoc Network (VANET), a broadly operated complex network for inter-vehicular transmission to acquire information relevant to the vehicle location, road condition, traffic congestion, and speed. Generally, this information is procured through an open-source communication, which is susceptible to various security threats. In broad terms, the privacy of data in VANET is considered an imperative task. In this regard, many authentication protocols are formerly initiated for VANET. Most of these protocols are precarious owing to eavesdropping, replay, and impersonation attacks, etc. Furthermore, most existing protocols operates on enormous communication and computation rate, which turns them inadequate for VANET. This paper exhibits a lightweight privacy-preserving authentication protocol for n number of vehicles in VANET using the physical unclonable function (PUF) technique, and offers efficient and secure communication via public channels. Moreover, we evaluate our protocol formally and informally, showing that it is scalable, lightweight, and safe compared to formerly protocols. The rate of computation and communication is less than most related protocols. We also simulate the proposed scheme using the NS-3 simulator to measure its various network performance parameters. As a result, it is apparent through the beheld statistics that the presented protocol is beyond practical, efficient, and reliable for the secure dissemination of information in VANET. © 1967-2012 IEEE.

Underwater imaging is frequently challenged by light scattering, leading to haze, color distortion, and visibility loss. To address these issues, we introduce the AquaVision Dehaze and Enhancement algorithm to improve underwater image quality. Extensive testing on a dataset from an aquaculture environment demonstrates that the algorithm significantly enhances image clarity. Quantitative evaluations reveal high performance across various image quality metrics, with scores of UICM (19.6463), UISM (18.1490), UIConM (26.7463), and UIQM (13.3312). Furthermore, the algorithm delivers competitive results in no-reference image quality metrics, including NIQE (3.6780), Entropy (7.5942), PIQE (52.1444), and BRISQUE (35.9847). These results highlight the algorithm's effectiveness in addressing the challenges of underwater imaging and illustrate the effectiveness through an ablation study. The AquaVision Dehaze and Enhancement algorithm offers a robust solution for improving the quality making it a valuable tool for advancing research in aquatic environments. © The Institution of engineering & Technology 2024.

Inductive link prediction (ILP) is to predict links for unseen entities in emerging knowledge graphs (KGs), considering the evolving nature of KGs. A more challenging scenario is that emerging KGs consist of only unseen entities without any edge connected to original KGs, called as disconnected emerging KGs (DEKGs). Existing studies for DEKGs only focus on predicting enclosing links, i.e., predicting links inside the emerging KG. The bridging links, which carry the evolutionary information from the original KG to DEKG, have not been investigated by previous work so far. To fill in the gap, we propose a novel model entitled DEKG-ILP (Disconnected Emerging Knowledge Graph Oriented Inductive Link Prediction) that consists of the following two components. (1) The module CLRM (Contrastive Learning-based Relation-specific Feature Modeling) is developed to extract global relation-based semantic features that are shared between original KGs and DEKGs with a novel sampling strategy. (2) The module GSM (GNN-based Subgraph Modeling) is proposed to extract the local subgraph topological information around each link in KGs. The extensive experiments conducted on several benchmark datasets demonstrate that DEKG-ILP has obvious performance improvements compared with state-of-the-art methods for both enclosing and bridging link prediction. © 2023 IEEE.

In this experiment, high-temperature polyethylene terephthalate (PT) was mixed with epoxy resin (ER) that had been thinned with acetone. Sisal fibers were coated with the resulting product. Composites of Coated treated sisal fibre-reinforced PT (CTSF-PT) were made using a constant fiber loading of 10 wt% and processing temperatures of 230, 250, and 270ºC. The fibers were treated with NaOH. These composites were then characterized for thermal, mechanical and morphological performances. When comparing findings obtained at 250 and 270ºC, the optimal processing temperature was found to be 230ºC. This temperature resulted in the best thermal and mechanical properties, and excellent interfacial adhesion among the coated fibers and the PT. In comparison to the uncoated SF, the coated composites showed a 9.5% reduction in degradation onset temperature and a 13% improvement in decomposition temperature following resin coating, according to thermogravimetric analysis. The CSF-PT composites surpassed the uncoated composites by 2.18% and 2.8% in terms of glass transition (Tg) and melting temperature (Tm) measured by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), with peak values at 122.2 °C and 265.1 °C, respectively. Coated Sisal-reinforced PT (CSF-PT) and coated-treated PT (CTSF-PT) composites outperformed raw Sisal (SF-PT) composites in terms of overall qualities and morphological properties, regardless of processing temperature. Applying resin to natural fibers enhances their heat resistance and the bond between the coated fibers and the plastic matrix, making them better suited for engineering plastic composites. Applications involving high temperatures, such as construction and automotive industries are well-suited to the resulting composites. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

Tip burn is a common calcium deficiency symptom found in strawberry leaves, which can deform, fold over, and discolor the tips or edges of budding leaves. To help farmers detect diseases early and manage their crops more effectively, this work aims to build a solution that employs image processing and machine learning techniques to detect tip burn in strawberry leaves on a farm. The proposed work utilizes a dataset of 1431 images of ‘diseased’ and ‘healthy’ strawberry leaves. A Random Forest classifier, which is an ensemble learning model built on decision trees, CNN, or convolutional neural networks, and VGG-16, a transfer learning-based approach were all fitted in the PySpark environment to assess the feasibility and scalability of using Spark for distributed computing. The results indicate the deep learning approaches outperformed the traditional machine learning approach in accuracy and execution speed, making them a promising tool for identifying tip burn diseases in strawberry leaves. Overall, this work provides farmers with a fast, feasible, and reliable method for detecting tip burn, aiding in crop management, and reducing crop loss. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Bipartite graph is an important data structure that widely exists in disease prevention and control, community detection, and other real-life applications. In a bipartite graph, edges not only connect entries of different types but also are bridges of different communities in the above applications. However, research to date has not yet focused on edge importance in bipartite graphs. Inspired by this, we study a new problem of top-k edge search in bipartite graphs with the goal of finding k most important edges for a given bipartite graph;these edges are crucial bridges among communities. In particular, we introduce the measure of ego-betweenness for evaluating the importance of edges. To handle this problem effectively, a lazy bound-based algorithm is first proposed by integrating an upper bound pruning strategy. After that, to further get better efficiency, a greedy bound-based heuristic algorithm is explored on the basis of a tighter upper bound which contributes to reducing redundant computation for calculating ego-betweenness. Last but not least, two parallel techniques with different levels of granularity, called P -src and P -task, are respectively introduced to further improve the search efficiency. The experimental results on both real-world and synthetic graphs demonstrate the efficiency and scalability of the proposed algorithms. © 2023 IEEE.

Intuitionistic fuzzy set (IFS) has attracted much attention because it can deal with fuzziness and uncertainty more flexibly than traditional fuzzy set. Complex intuitionistic fuzzy set (CIFS) extends intuitionistic fuzzy to the complex plane, which can better express and process uncertain information. In this paper, a novel distance measure complex intuitionistic fuzzy distance (CIFD) is proposed for CIFSs. Firstly, inspired by Tanimoto coefficient, a new similarity measure between CIFSs is proposed. Then, based on the similarity measure, the CIFD is proposed and its non-negativity, non-degeneracy, and symmetry are analyzed. Moreover, when CIFS degenerates into classical IFS, CIFD is also applicable to measure the differences between IFSs. Medical images are used as a diagnostic tool, so protecting theirconfidentiality has long been a topic of study. From this, we propose aResnet50-DCT-based zero watermarking algorithm for use with medicalimages. To begin, we use Resnet50, a pre-training network, to draw out thedeep features of medical images. Then the deep features are transformedby DCT transform and the perceptual hash function is used to generatethe feature vector. The original watermark is chaotic scrambled to get theencrypted watermark, and the watermark information is embedded into theoriginal medical image by XOR operation, and the logical key vector isobtained and saved at the same time. Similarly, the same feature extractionmethod is used to extract the deep features of the medical image to be testedand generate the feature vector. Later, the XOR operation is carried outbetween the feature vector and the logical key vector, and the encryptedwatermark is extracted and decrypted to get the restored watermark;thenormalized correlation coefficient (NC) of the original watermark and therestored watermark is calculated to determine the ownership and watermarkinformation of the medical image to be tested. After calculation, most ofthe NC values are greater than 0.50. The experimental results demonstratethe algorithm’s robustness, invisibility, and security, as well as its ability toaccurately extract watermark information. The algorithm also shows goodresistance to conventional attacks and geometric attacks.
