Modern computer graphics systems usually manage a set of internal data to store control parameters and all kind of graphics data. The behind problem on these graphics system data is that they are frequently updated and retrieved with variety of data types, even they are initially stored as specific data types. To support these updates and retrievals with various data types, modern graphics systems typically use data type conversion features, and even in the worst cases, they should provide all combinations of internally stored data types and newly provided or retrieved data types. In this paper, we show how to efficiently provide all the required combinations of data type conversions, with motivations, analysis, and overall designs. We also show typical type conversion scenarios, with specific API function examples. Our design shows that it can improve the internal architecture and the internal efficiency of modern computer graphics systems. In its implementation, we use C++std:: map container for fast lookup of the best-suitable conversion function. This overall scheme was integrated in our existing systems, and shows its feasibility and correctness. © 2025 IEEE.

Globally, the development of Intelligent Cyber-Physical Transportation Systems (ICTS) aims to tackle several challenges, including reducing traffic accidents and fuel usage, alleviating congestion, shortening travel time, and enhancing overall transportation safety. These systems leverage advanced customer-centric communication and networked control methods, such as inter-vehicle, vehicle-to-roadside (V2R), and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication through the use of vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs) to cover all aspects of transportation-based information. In existing systems, once devices are registered with a Trusted Authority (TA), subsequent authentication still relies on the TA's assistance. However, these devices typically remain stationary, and frequent interaction with the TA becomes impractical and costly in highly mobile VANET environments. To address this challenge, we propose a secure access control protocol with conditional privacy for VANETs. Unlike other protocols, our protocol does not require the TA's involvement during authentication between vehicles and RSUs. Additionally, our protocol leverages pseudonym mechanisms to provide conditional privacy, enabling legitimate vehicles to remain anonymous while malicious ones can be tracked. Our proposed scheme is supported by both formal and informal security analyses and has been shown to be secure against several known attacks in VANETs. Furthermore, compared to relevant studies, our protocol achieves 30.2505% of efficiency in terms of computation cost and 11.09276% of efficiency in terms of communication cost, respectively. © 1975-2011 IEEE.

Thisstudy introduces the DeepStreamNet model, an advanced framework for enhancing real-time traffic management in urban environments using adaptive IoT and sophisticated big data analytics. Central to our approach is the integration of convolutional neural networks (CNNs), recurrent neural networks (RNNs), and long short-term memory (LSTM) units, which synergize with IoT devices to facilitate dynamic adaptation to fluctuating traffic conditions. The model excels in operational performance, achieving a notable accuracy of 94.7% in congestion prediction with an exceptionally low latency of only 45 ms per decision cycle and the capability to process up to 50,000 data points per second. These technical achievements have marked significant improvements over traditional traffic management systems, enhancing traffic flow efficiency and reducing congestion effectively. The results underscore the transformative potential of the DeepStreamNet model in urban traffic management and public safety, offering actionable insights for intelligent transportation systems and setting the stage for more informed urban planning. Looking forward, we suggest extending the application of our model to areas such as logistics and broader smart city initiatives, highlighting its adaptability and broad utility in various urban contexts © 2024 IEEE.

Industrial Cyber-Physical Systems (ICPSs) are an integral component of modern manufacturing and industries. By digitizing data throughout product life cycles, Digital Twins (DTs) in ICPSs enable a shift from current industrial infrastructures to intelligent and adaptive infrastructures. Thanks to data process capability, Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) can drive the construction and update of DTs to improve predictive accuracy and prepare for diverse smart manufacturing. However, mechanisms that leverage Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) devices to share sensing data for DT construction are susceptible to adverse selection problems. In this paper, we first develop a GenAI-driven DT architecture in ICPSs. To address the adverse selection problem caused by information asymmetry, we propose a contract theory model and develop a sustainable diffusion-based soft actor-critic algorithm to identify the optimal feasible contract. Specifically, we leverage dynamic structured pruning techniques to reduce parameter numbers of actor networks, allowing sustainability and efficient implementation of the proposed algorithm. Numerical results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme and the algorithm, enabling efficient DT construction and updates to monitor and manage ICPSs. © 2023 IEEE.

This article covers the design, implementation, mathematical modelling, and control of a multivariable, underactuated, low-cost, three-degrees-of-freedom experimental helicopter system (namely a 3-DOF helicopter). The system is considered an essential benchmark for the development and evaluation of control algorithms and identification methods as it mimics real helicopters and UAVs. The system is multivariable and difficult to control due to its underactuation characteristics. In addition, it presents further challenges in modelling and control analysis in terms of high nonlinearity, coupling, uncertainty, and unmodeled dynamics. In this scene, the system is designed, developed, and operated virtually in SolidWorks using the necessary hardware and software. A new accurate multivariable coupled nonlinear mathematical model is derived and proposed. The model takes into account the complex dynamics and interactions between the system components, providing a more comprehensive representation of the real system compared to previous models. System parameters are then identified using the Sum of the Square Error (SSE) algorithm, and the mathematical model is compared to the practical results in many different scenarios via Simulink. Experimental tests confirmed the mathematical model and robust performance of the implemented experimental 3-DOF helicopter system, as well as the ability of the proposed controller to stabilize the helicopter and track different trajectories in the presence of uncertainties and cross-coupling effects. © 2013 IEEE.

Currently, protocol fuzzing techniques mainly employ two approaches: greybox fuzzing based on mutation and blackbox fuzzing based on generation. Greybox fuzzing techniques use message exchanges between the protocol server and actual clients as seeds, and generate test cases through mutation. Although this approach can provide coverage information of the SUT's code and state space through instrumentation and feedback, its drawback lies in the relatively random mutation strategy, which makes it challenging to validate the SUT's message verification process. This paper addresses this limitation by utilizing artificial intelligence techniques to extract protocol state machines. It aims to overcome the reliance on manual work in blackbox fuzzing based on generation and leverage its advantages to generate more effective fuzzing test cases. The study utilizes Prompt-Learning technology to analyze the semantic information in protocol RFC documents, obtain corresponding intermediate representations, and extract protocol state machines from these representations. Taking the BGP protocol as an experimental subject, the experimental results demonstrate a certain level of accuracy in the obtained protocol state machines and the ability to generate test cases from these state machines, thereby enhancing the automation level of protocol fuzzing. © 2023 IEEE.

GPT is a large language model (LLM) derived from natural language processing that can generate a human-like text using machine learning. However, these models raise questions about authenticity and reliability of material, particularly in fields such as journalism, social media, and academia, despite their usefulness for automating text-based tasks. Detecting machine-generated text is thus an important difficulty in ensuring content integrity. This study investigates the use of huge language models as a technique for recognizing machine-generated material. The author proposes a comprehensive detection model by evaluating the language patterns, syntactic structures, and stylistic traits that separate AI-generated literature from human writing. In addition, this research investigate the possibilities of fine-tuning models designed expressly for text identification tasks and evaluate their performance using LLM - Detect AI Generated Text datasets. In digital ecosystems, LLMs are effective at detecting AI-generated text, providing a novel approach for content moderation, academic integrity checks, and synthetic media detection. An increasingly AI-powered future will require a model that can discriminate between human and machine-generated writing in real-time. According to experimental findings, the CNN architecture's design combined with the use of DistilBERT embeddings allows for the effective and efficient classification of AI generated text data, achieving an exceptional 98% accuracy rate. © 2024 IEEE.

Automatic ICD coding aims at assigning the international classification of disease (ICD) codes to clinical notes documented by clinicians, which is crucial for saving human resources and has attracted much research attention in recent years. However, facing the challenges brought by the complex long textual narratives in clinical notes and the long-tailed data distribution in ICD codes, existing studies are ineffectual in the struggle to extract key information from the clinical notes and handle large amounts of small-data learning problems on the tail codes, which makes it hard to achieve satisfactory performance. In this paper, we present a ClinicalBERT-based model for automatic ICD coding, which can effectively cope with complex long clinical narratives via a segmentation learning mechanism and take advantage of the tree-like structure of ICD codes to transmit information among code nodes. Specifically, a novel hierarchical tree structure learning module is proposed to enable each code to utilize information both from upper and lower nodes of the tree, so that better code classifiers are learned for both head and tail codes. Experiments on MIMIC-III dataset show that our model outperforms current state-of-the-art (SOTA) ICD coding methods. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Sentiment analysis is crucial method in business intelligence to extract insights, which typically begin with sentiment classification. One of the latest frameworks for generating sentence embeddings for sentiment classification is LLM2Vec, which allows Transformer decoder-based models to generate sentence embeddings for text representation. Its capability is deemed language-agnostic, which, in this study, the framework is leveraged for Tokopedia tweet sentiment analysis to prove the claim. The base decoder models used in the LLM2Vec framework were Llama 3 8B, Llama 2 7B, Sheared Llama 1.3B, and Mistral 7B. Two BERT-based models, which are the Indonesian SBERT model and IndoBERT trained with the SimCSE approach, were employed as a comparison. The generated embeddings were classified using logistic regression, SVM, and MLP Classifier. Classifiers using embedding generated by LLM2Vec with Llama 3 8B and Mistral 7B achieves on-par performance with classifiers that utilize IndoBERT SimCSE embeddings, while classifiers using embeddings generated by LLM2Vec with Llama 2 7B and Sheared Llama 1.3B achieves much lower performance. Classifiers with Indonesian SBERT embeddings achieve the highest F1 score performance. Despite slightly lower performance, this study has proven the language-agnostic capability of LLM2Vec, especially with Llama 3 8B and Mistral 7B in colloquial Bahasa Indonesia sentiment analysis, since none of the base decoders were ever trained using the Bahasa Indonesia corpus. © 2024 IEEE.
