It is challenging to predict futures prices with traditional econometric models as it necessitates a comprehensive consideration of both historical observations and correlations among various futures. Spatial-temporal graph neural networks (STGNNs) offer a promising approach for modeling such complex spatio-temporal data. Nevertheless, the direct application of STGNNs to high-frequency futures data remains a challenge, as traders must account for both short- and long-term characteristics when making decisions. To capture these distinct timeframes, we leverage additional label information by devising four heterogeneous tasks: price regression, price gap regression, price moving average regression, and change-point detection. To make full use of these labels, we train the model in a continual manner. Traditional continual GNNs define the gradient of losses as parameter importance to overcome the catastrophic forgetting (CF) issue, while this is unsuitable for our heterogeneous tasks with losses in distinct spaces. Therefore, we propose to calculate the parameter importance with mutual information between the original observations and the extracted features. The empirical results based on 49 varieties of commodity futures demonstrate that our model achieves superior performance compared to the leading approaches, highlighting the effectiveness of our approach in modeling the intricate dynamics of the futures market. © 2024 IEEE.

With the rapid developing technology of the Internet of Things, intelligent connected vehicles are facing more and more serious cybersecurity threats and challenges. With the developing of cybersecurity technology for intelligent connected vehicles it has posed a comprehensive challenge to the existing cybersecurity technologies. Intrusion detection is an important research field of cybersecurity. An intrusion detection scheme based on sequential tri-way decisions of multiple granularities (S3WD-MG) is proposed for Intelligent Connected Vehicles. The S3WD-MG method obtains feature sets of multi-granularities through the auto-encoder of deep learning. This method combines multiple granularities and sequential tri-way decisions to make decisions by the most appropriate for network behavior through by the decision threshold. The experiment results on NSL-KDD show that S3WD-MG method does have a good performance in intrusion detection. Compared with other models, our proposed S3WD-MG method has a higher detection’s rate and the robustness of algorithm is stronger. © Beijing Paike Culture Commu. Co., Ltd. 2025.

The recent large-scale text-to-image generative models have attained unprecedented performance, while people established adaptor modules like LoRA and DreamBooth to extend this performance to even more unseen concept tokens. However, we empirically find that this workflow often fails to accurately depict the out-of-distribution concepts. This failure is highly related to the low quality of training data. To resolve this, we present a framework called Controllable Adaptor Towards Out-of-Distribution Concepts (CATOD). Our framework follows the active learning paradigm which includes high-quality data accumulation and adaptor training, enabling a finer-grained enhancement of generative results. The aesthetics score and concept-matching score are two major factors that impact the quality of synthetic results. One key component of CATOD is the weighted scoring system that automatically balances between these two scores and we also offer comprehensive theoretical analysis for this point. Then, it determines how to select data and schedule the adaptor training based on this scoring system. The extensive results show that CATOD significantly outperforms the prior approaches with an 11.10 boost on the CLIP score and a 33.08% decrease on the CMMD metric. © 2024 Neural information processing systems foundation. Emerging Compute Express Link (CXL) enables cost-efficient memory expansion beyond the local DRAM of processors. While its *** protocol provides minimal latency overhead through an optimized protocol stack, frequent CXL memory accesses can result in significant slowdowns for memory-bound applications whether they are latency-sensitive or bandwidth-intensive. The near-data processing (NDP) in the CXL controller promises to overcome such limitations of passive CXL memory. However, prior work on NDP in CXL memory proposes application-specific units that are not suitable for practical CXL memory-based systems that should support various applications. On the other hand, existing CPU or GPU cores are not costeffective for NDP because they are not optimized for memorybound applications. In addition, the communication between the host processor and CXL controller for NDP offloading should achieve low latency, but existing ***/PCIe-based mechanisms incur μs-scale latency and are not suitable for fine-grained NDP. To achieve high-performance NDP end-to-end, we propose a low-overhead general-purpose NDP architecture for CXL memory referred to as Memory-Mapped NDP (M2NDP), which comprises memory-mapped functions (M2func) and memory-mapped μthreading (M2μthread). M2func is a ***-compatible lowoverhead communication mechanism between the host processor and NDP controller in CXL memory. M2μthread enables lowcost, general-purpose NDP unit design by introducing lightweight μthreads that support highly concurrent execution of kernels with minimal resource wastage. Combining them, M2NDP achieves significant speedups for various workloads by up to 128x (14.5x overall) and reduces energy by up to 87.9% (80.3% overall) compared to baseline CPU/GPU hosts with passive CXL memory. © 2024 IEEE.

Proteins play a crucial role in living organisms, and understanding protein-protein interactions is vital for comprehending their functions and aiding drug discovery. In recent years, advanced deep learning models have been developed to predict protein-protein interactions from sequences. However, these large-scale approaches often suffer from deficiencies, resulting in both false positive and false negative predictions. Traditional encoding methods struggle to effectively represent the semantic meaning of individual residues in protein sequences and their impact on neighbouring residues. To overcome these deficiencies, we propose a novel method named R2V-PPI (Residue-to-Vector embeddings based Protein-Protein Interaction Framework) that effectively represents protein sequences and predicts protein-protein interactions. Inspired by Word2Vec, R2V-PPI learns informative representations of individual amino acid residues, capturing the context and relationships between them in raw protein sequences. These representations provide valuable input features for a downstream deep learning model. Our methodology offers a robust and versatile approach for predicting protein-protein interactions, especially when structural information is limited or unavailable. Evaluation on the S. cerevisiae dataset demonstrates that R2V-PPI outperforms existing state-of-the-art machine learning models. © 2024 IEEE.

The Internet of Things (IoT) has revolutionized the way data is handled and collected, allowing for large amounts of information to be revolutionized quickly and efficiently. This has paved the way for Machine Learning (ML) applications to be used on IoT datasets, such as 10MT data aggregation. This paper discusses the use of a ML approach for aggregation 10MT data in order to better understand trends and classify patterns in various sectors that would otherwise go undetected. It discusses the benefits and challenges of such a system, and how it could be used to improve the efficiency of industrial operations. It stresses the importance of data integrity in this process, as wrong or incomplete datasets can significantly reduce the accuracy and reliability of the results obtained. Furthermore, it discusses the need for suitable ML algorithms and models, such as clustering and random forest, to be applied to the collected data in order to produce robust and meaningful output. It observes the security and privacy challenges associated with such ML-based 10MT data aggregation systems, and the potential solutions available. © 2024 IEEE.

As one of the primary concerns of people, air quality, its pollution and management is an important topic. Air pollution can cause harm to human health, ecological environment, and social economy, and its pollution level is affected by many factors. Exploring the factors of air pollutant concentration and predicting PM2.5 concentration and AQI index more accurately is a common concern for the scientific community and policymakers. In order to make a more accurate prediction of air quality, this paper addresses the problem of air quality prediction. The quantitative features are extracted based on the Pearson correlation model and stepwise regression model, and then the qualitative features are extracted based on the chi-square test. After the feature extraction, an XGBoost model is constructed and the extracted features are used as input to predict the future air quality. The obtained prediction accuracy is much higher than that of the support vector machine and BP neural network. The predicted R2 is 0.905. © 2023 IEEE.

Drug box recognition is an integral part of the pharmacy automation system (PAS), which checks for discrepancies between the drugs provided by the system and the doctor's prescription with the help of modern image recognition techniques. Although deep learning has facilitated the development of pharmacy automation systems, practical applications still face challenges. First, pharmacies update drugs frequently, and many pharmacies across the country are trained independently, which requires consuming massive computational resources. Secondly, the equipment performance of pharmacies is poor, and it's hard to guarantee the real-time and accuracy of recognition. Therefore, we propose a cloud-side collaborative drug box recognition system. When new drugs are added, the new model is trained in the cloud and uniformly distributed to each edge through this architecture. In terms of real-time recognition, an improved lightweight YOLOv5 model is added to the edge part, and a text recognition module is deployed in the cloud to validate the recognition results at the edge. This cloud-edge collaboration architecture not only ensures the accuracy of recognition, but also reduces the burden on the compute edge, ensures the real-time *** results show that the proposed cloud-edge architecture reduces the recognition latency by 37.18% and achieves a precision of 97.47%. The improved YOLOv5 model reduces GFLOPs by 45% while achieving a 1.6% precision improvement. © 2023 IEEE.

Physics-based fluid simulation has played an increasingly important role in the computer graphics *** methods in this area have greatly improved the generation of complex visual effects and its computational *** techniques have emerged to deal with complex boundaries,multiphase fluids,gas-liquid interfaces,and fine *** parallel use of machine learning,image processing,and fluid control technologies has brought many interesting and novel research *** this survey,we provide an introduction to theoretical concepts underpinning physics-based fuid simulation and their practical implementation,with the aim for it to serve as a guide for both newcomers and seasoned researchers to explore the field of physics-based fuid simulation,with a focus on developments in the last *** by the distribution of recent publications in the field,we structure our survey to cover physical background;discretization approaches;computational methods that address scalability;fuid interactions with other materials and interfaces;and methods for expressive aspects of surface detail and *** a practical perspective,we give an overview of existing implementations available for the above methods.
