This study explores the integration of"Internet+" into university education to enhance students’ learning, innovation, and entrepreneurship (I&E) skills. By updating educational concepts and methods, we aim to establish a comprehensive I&E framework that includes mindset development, knowledge acquisition, skill enhancement, and team support. Practical training and network learning communities are emphasized to provide global platforms for skill improvement and project incubation. Through a case study, we analyze the development and effectiveness of an I&E education platform, highlighting the importance of targeted demand surveys and data analysis. Our findings demonstrate the significance of aligning talent training with industry needs, fostering creativity, and promoting entrepreneurial success through collaborative school-enterprise initiatives. © 2024 the Author(s), licensee Combinatorial Press.

By transforming the time series data into distributions and introducing a distribution-aware measure, a principal method is designed for quantifying the detectabilities of fault detection algorithms over special datasets.

Fake Face Detection Based on Fusion of Spatial Texture and High-Frequency Noise

The rapid development of the Internet has led to the widespread dissemination of manipulated facial images, significantly impacting people's daily lives. With the continuous advancement of Deepfake technology, the generated counterfeit facial images have become increasingly challenging to distinguish. There is an urgent need for a more robust and convincing detection method. Current detection methods mainly operate in the spatial domain and transform the spatial domain into other domains for analysis. With the emergence of transformers, some researchers have also combined traditional convolutional networks with transformers for detection. This paper explores the artifacts left by Deepfakes in various domains and, based on this exploration, proposes a detection method that utilizes the steganalysis rich model to extract high-frequency noise to complement spatial features. We have designed two main modules to fully leverage the interaction between these two aspects based on traditional convolutional neural networks. The first is the multi-scale mixed feature attention module, which introduces artifacts from high-frequency noise into spatial textures, thereby enhancing the model's learning of spatial texture features. The second is the multi-scale channel attention module, which reduces the impact of background noise by weighting the features. Our proposed method was experimentally evaluated on mainstream datasets, and a significant amount of experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach in detecting Deepfake forged faces, outperforming the majority of existing methods.

An Improved Non-cascade Adaptive Integral Sliding Mode Control for PMSM Servo Systems

This paper addresses the problems of the non-cascade adaptive integral sliding mode control (ISMC) for permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs). Firstly, by taking the external disturbances and internal parametric uncertainties into full consideration, a surface-mounted PMSM is modeled as a singularly perturbed system by singular perturbation theory. Then, the discrete-time nonlinear tracking differentiator and the disturbance observer (DO) are presented, arranging a favorable transition dynamic and estimating the lumped disturbances, respectively. As a result, a novel integral sliding mode surface function and the constructed DO-based adaptive ISMC law are subsequently designed, thus guaranteeing the reachability condition and closed-loop system stability. Furthermore, the H∞ control approach is employed to design the non-cascade controller gain, by solving a set of linear matrix inequalities. SG-NeRF:Sparse-Input Generalized Neural Radiance Fields for Novel View Synthesis

Traditional neural radiance fields for rendering novel views require intensive input images and pre-scene optimization,which limits their practical *** propose a generalization method to infer scenes from input images and perform high-quality rendering without pre-scene optimization named SG-NeRF(Sparse-Input Generalized Neural Radiance Fields).Firstly,we construct an improved multi-view stereo structure based on the convolutional attention and multi-level fusion mechanism to obtain the geometric features and appearance features of the scene from the sparse input images,and then these features are aggregated by multi-head attention as the input of the neural radiance *** strategy of utilizing neural radiance fields to decode scene features instead of mapping positions and orientations enables our method to perform cross-scene training as well as inference,thus enabling neural radiance fields to generalize for novel view synthesis on unseen *** tested the generalization ability on DTU dataset,and our PSNR(peak signal-to-noise ratio)improved by 3.14 compared with the baseline method under the same input *** addition,if the scene has dense input views available,the average PSNR can be improved by 1.04 through further refinement training in a short time,and a higher quality rendering effect can be obtained.

Cancers have emerged as a significant concern due to their impact on public health and society. The examination and interpretation of tissue sections stained with Hematoxylin and Eosin (H&E) play a crucial role in disease assessment, particularly in cases like gastric cancer. Microsatellite instability (MSI) is suggested to contribute to the carcinogenesis of specific gastrointestinal tumors. However, due to the nonspecific morphology observed in H&E-stained tissue sections, MSI determination often requires costly evaluations through various molecular studies and immunohistochemistry methods in specialized molecular pathology laboratories. Despite the high cost, international guidelines recommend MSI testing for gastrointestinal cancers. Thus, there is a pressing need for a new diagnostic modality with lower costs and widespread applicability for MSI detection. This study aims to detect MSI directly from H&E histology slides in gastric cancer, providing a cost-effective alternative. The performance of well-known deep convolutional neural networks (DCNNs) and a proposed architecture are compared. Medical image datasets are typically smaller than benchmark datasets like ImageNet, necessitating the use of off-the-shelf DCNN architectures developed for large datasets through techniques such as transfer learning. Designing an architecture proportional to a custom dataset can be tedious and may not yield desirable results. In this work, we propose an automatic method to extract a lightweight and efficient architecture from a given heavy architecture (e.g., well-known off-the-shelf DCNNs) proportional to a specific dataset. To predict MSI instability, we extracted the MicroNet architecture from the Xception network using the proposed method and compared its performance with other well-known architectures. ViGT: proposal-free video grounding with a learnable token in the transformer

The video grounding(VG) task aims to locate the queried action or event in an untrimmed video based on rich linguistic descriptions. Existing proposal-free methods are trapped in the complex interaction between video and query, overemphasizing cross-modal feature fusion and feature correlation for VG. In this paper, we propose a novel boundary regression paradigm that performs regression token learning in a transformer. Particularly, we present a simple but effective proposal-free framework, namely video grounding transformer(ViGT), which predicts the temporal boundary using a learnable regression token rather than multi-modal or cross-modal features. In ViGT, the benefits of a learnable token are manifested as follows.(1) The token is unrelated to the video or the query and avoids data bias toward the original video and query.(2) The token simultaneously performs global context aggregation from video and query ***, we employed a sharing feature encoder to project both video and query into a joint feature space before performing cross-modal co-attention(i.e., video-to-query attention and query-to-video attention) to highlight discriminative features in each modality. Furthermore, we concatenated a learnable regression token [REG] with the video and query features as the input of a vision-language transformer. Finally, we utilized the token [REG] to predict the target moment and visual features to constrain the foreground and background probabilities at each timestamp. The proposed ViGT performed well on three public datasets:ANet-Captions, TACoS, and YouCookⅡ. Extensive ablation studies and qualitative analysis further validated the interpretability of ViGT.

Multivariable financial time series forecasting based on phase space reconstruction compensation

Accurate financial time series forecasting is an important challenge in the financial field due to varying levels of interaction among multiple financial time series, complicating the extraction of valid information from these variables. This study introduces an effective and efficient multivariable financial time series forecasting model based on phase space reconstruction compensation: Phase Space Reconstruction Compensation Long Short-Term Memory (PSR-LSTM). The PSR-LSTM model leverages the long short-term memory (LSTM) network to analyze short-term data behaviors, reconstructs multiple long-term variables by phase space reconstruction method, and utilizes multivariable trend attention to capture trend information in correlated variables. This trend information is finally used to correct the LSTM network’s predictive result. Experimental results demonstrate that the PSR-LSTM outperforms existing multivariable forecasting models by effectively mitigating noise interference while achieving optimal forecasting performance. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag London Ltd., part of Springer Nature 2024.

Adaptive barrier function-based fractional-order chattering-free finite-time control for uncertain chaotic systems

This study proposes the adaptive continuous barrier function as the fractional-order control system using the terminal sliding mode control technique with chattering-free property to stabilize chaotic systems that have unknown uncertainties. The important reason for using the fractional-order controller is its greater flexibility than the integer-order controller. Using adaptive approach and Lyapunov's stability theory, an adaptive continuous barrier fractional-order chattering-free finite-time controller for a category of chaotic systems with the unknown uncertainties and external disturbances is presented. The suggested controller can stabilize the chaotic system excellently with a continuous and smooth control law even without knowing the boundaries and in the presence of unknown disturbances due to the model uncertainties. According to MATLAB simulation results, the high efficiency of the suggested control technique to control the chaotic systems in the attendance of unknown perturbations is obviously confirmed. © 2023 John Wiley & Sons Ltd.

Pedestrian wind flow prediction using spatial-frequency generative adversarial network
