Clever system that can look at pictures of fruits and figure out what kind of fruit each picture shows. AI algorithms like deep learning, which is like giving the Machine learning model a crash course in fruit recognition. This method teaches the ML Model we clearly explained the Model using application's agent using PEAS and the application's task environment using the 6 dimensions by showing it tons of fruit images, so over time, it gets really good at spotting the differences and similarities between, say, a banana and a grape. We also used another technique called pattern recognition, which helps the computer pay attention to specific details like the fruit's color, shape, size and texture. Overcoming multiple obstacles in order to automatically identify the type of fruit from the picture. The variety of images is influencing the color, texture, and shape of many different types of fruits. When it came to fruit picture detection, Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) Algorithm outperformed standard support-vector-machine-based approaches using handcrafted features in terms of accuracy also, it is a lot faster to implement for new fruits. By integrating deep learning and pattern recognition techniques such as Convolutional Neural Network Algorithm we have got the accuracy of 84%, our system efficiently identified different fruit types from images, demonstrating the power and effectiveness of our methods. The goal of our project is to create a tool that can quickly and correctly identify many types of fruits in photos, which could be useful for things like sorting fruits in a grocery store or helping people learn about different fruits by using Convolutional Neural Network Algorithm. This is not just about teaching a computer to recognize fruits;it is about making technology that can understand and interact with the world in a way that is helpful to us. © 2025 IEEE.

The performance of SISR models is currently growing at a rapid pace since the adoption of Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) in the domain. Despite that, the understanding of the underlying factors of this rapid growth is still low. In this study, we proposed a study design to measure the impact of the inductive bias in CNN on its training performance, which is one of the factors of the excellent performance of CNN in SISR. With this study design, we observed that not all CNN has a supportive inductive bias to the training performance. This result can provide guidance to future research in choosing a suitable CNN architecture for optimal SISR performance. © 2023 The Authors. Published by Elsevier B.V.

Aerial scene recognition(ASR)has attracted great attention due to its increasingly essential *** of the ASR methods adopt the multi‐scale architecture because both global and local features play great roles in ***,the existing multi‐scale methods neglect the effective interactions among different scales and various spatial locations when fusing global and local features,leading to a limited ability to deal with challenges of large‐scale variation and complex background in aerial scene *** addition,existing methods may suffer from poor generalisations due to millions of to‐belearnt parameters and inconsistent predictions between global and local *** tackle these problems,this study proposes a scale‐wise interaction fusion and knowledge distillation(SIF‐KD)network for learning robust and discriminative features with scaleinvariance and background‐independent *** main highlights of this study include two *** the one hand,a global‐local features collaborative learning scheme is devised for extracting scale‐invariance features so as to tackle the large‐scale variation problem in aerial scene ***,a plug‐and‐play multi‐scale context attention fusion module is proposed for collaboratively fusing the context information between global and local *** the other hand,a scale‐wise knowledge distillation scheme is proposed to produce more consistent predictions by distilling the predictive distribution between different scales during *** experimental results show the proposed SIF‐KD network achieves the best overall accuracy with 99.68%,98.74%and 95.47%on the UCM,AID and NWPU‐RESISC45 datasets,respectively,compared with state of the arts.

In recent decades,fog computing has played a vital role in executing parallel computational tasks,specifically,scientific workflow *** cloud data centers,fog computing takes more time to run workflow ***,it is essential to develop effective models for Virtual Machine(VM)allocation and task scheduling in fog computing *** task scheduling,VM migration,and allocation,altogether optimize the use of computational resources across different fog *** process ensures that the tasks are executed with minimal energy consumption,which reduces the chances of resource *** this manuscript,the proposed framework comprises two phases:(i)effective task scheduling using a fractional selectivity approach and(ii)VM allocation by proposing an algorithm by the name of Fitness Sharing Chaotic Particle Swarm Optimization(FSCPSO).The proposed FSCPSO algorithm integrates the concepts of chaos theory and fitness sharing that effectively balance both global exploration and local *** balance enables the use of a wide range of solutions that leads to minimal total cost and makespan,in comparison to other traditional optimization *** FSCPSO algorithm’s performance is analyzed using six evaluation measures namely,Load Balancing Level(LBL),Average Resource Utilization(ARU),total cost,makespan,energy consumption,and response *** relation to the conventional optimization algorithms,the FSCPSO algorithm achieves a higher LBL of 39.12%,ARU of 58.15%,a minimal total cost of 1175,and a makespan of 85.87 ms,particularly when evaluated for 50 tasks.

An effective compressed image authentication scheme based on N-variant AMBTC

Image authentication is one technique that provides integrity protection for digital images, making them sensitive to any slight modification. Recently, the detectability of absolute moment block truncation coding (AMBTC) compressed images has been attracting more attention due to its integrity authentication concerns. Thus, this paper proposes an effective N-variant AMBTC based image authentication scheme for AMBTC compressed images. First, a novel AMBTC compression code is derived using a variant AMBTC technique that can provide a better quality of compressed images. Then, each AMBTC compression code is further eliminated into a version requiring fewer bits using the proposed N-variant AMBTC technique, and those vacated N-bits are used to conceal authentication codes, which is generated by hashing the AMBTC compression code and location information. Experimental results confirm that the proposed scheme has superior stability and accuracy in tampering detection while providing better visual quality of the watermarked image. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature.

This study addresses the challenges faced in personalized tutoring within large-scale programming courses, such as significant ability gaps among students, limited available resources, among others. For these reasons, we proposed an intelligent programming assistant, ProgMate, based on large language models (LLMs). Benefitting from the robust understanding and learning capabilities of LLM, ProgMate not only comprehensively monitors the learning process, but can also surpass human teaching in aspects such as intelligent assignment grading, identification of knowledge gaps, and assessment of learning abilities. ProgMate embodies a new 4-A digital teaching paradigm, characterized by its ability to provide precise guidance with anything, to anyone, anywhere, at any time, with features like 'omnipresence', 'adaptive guidance' and 'customization'. It facilitates the organic integration of collective teaching and individualized guidance, continuous learning, and long-term development, as well as resource efficiency and precision nurturing, offering a viable path and empirical support for the digital transformation of future education. © 2024 IEEE.

Graph-based methods, pivotal for label inference over interconnected objects in many real-world applications, often encounter generalization challenges, if the graph used for model training differs significantly from the graph used for testing. This work delves into Graph Domain Adaptation (GDA) to address the unique complexities of distribution shifts over graph data, where interconnected data points experience shifts in features, labels, and in particular, connecting patterns. We propose a novel, theoretically principled method, Pairwise Alignment (Pair-Align) to counter graph structure shift by mitigating conditional structure shift (CSS) and label shift (LS). Pair-Align uses edge weights to recalibrate the influence among neighboring nodes to handle CSS and adjusts the classification loss with label weights to handle LS. Our method demonstrates superior performance in real-world applications, including node classification with region shift in social networks, and the pileup mitigation task in particle colliding experiments. For the first application, we also curate the largest dataset by far for GDA studies. Our method shows strong performance in synthetic and other existing benchmark datasets. Generative pre-trained transformer (GPT) models have shown promise in clinical entity and relation extraction tasks because of their precise extraction and contextual understanding capability. In this work, we further leverage the Unified Medical Language System (UMLS) knowledge base to accurately identify medical concepts and improve clinical entity and relation extraction at the document level. Our framework selects UMLS concepts relevant to the text and combines them with prompts to guide language models in extracting entities. Our experiments demonstrate that this initial concept mapping and the inclusion of these mapped concepts in the prompts improves extraction results compared to few-shot extraction tasks on generic language models that do not leverage UMLS. Further, our results show that this approach is more effective than the standard Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) technique, where retrieved data is compared with prompt embeddings to generate results. Overall, we find that integrating UMLS concepts with GPT models significantly improves entity and relation identification, outperforming the baseline and RAG models. By combining the precise concept mapping capability of knowledge-based approaches like UMLS with the contextual understanding capability of GPT, our method highlights the potential of these approaches in specialized domains like healthcare.. ©2024 Association for Computational Linguistics.

Through early intervention and individualized treatment plans, timely disease detection and personalized healthcare can advance patient results and reduce healthcare costs. With the aim to categorize medical conditions, we present a dataset in this study that includes blood sample parameters like haemoglobin, cholesterol, and glucose. To analyse these parameters, we created a three-layered artificial neural network (ANN). Achieving an accuracy of 93.42% on the test set, the ANN was trained and validated on the dataset. With the aim of reducing overfitting and enhance model generalization, dropout layers were added. Furthermore, a comparative analysis with various optimizers was carried out. The results highlight the ANN's potential as a means for timly diagnosis, personalized healthcare, improving patient outcomes and lowering long-term healthcare costs. They also demonstrate the ANN's ability to accurately classify diseases. © 2024 IEEE.

Sketch2Human: Deep Human Generation with Disentangled Geometry and Appearance Constraints

Geometry- and appearance-controlled full-body human image generation is an interesting but challenging task. Existing solutions are either unconditional or dependent on coarse conditions (e.g., pose, text), thus lacking explicit geometry and appearance control of body and garment. Sketching offers such editing ability and has been adopted in various sketch-based face generation and editing solutions. However, directly adapting sketch-based face generation to full-body generation often fails to produce high-fidelity and diverse results due to the high complexity and diversity in the pose, body shape, and garment shape and texture. Recent geometrically controllable diffusion-based methods mainly rely on prompts to generate appearance. It is hard to balance the realism and the faithfulness of their results to the sketch when the input is coarse. This work presents Sketch2Human, the first system for controllable full-body human image generation guided by a semantic sketch (for geometry control) and a reference image (for appearance control). Our solution is based on the latent space of StyleGAN-Human with inverted geometry and appearance latent codes as input. Specifically, we present a sketch encoder trained with a large synthetic dataset sampled from StyleGAN-Human's latent space and directly supervised by sketches rather than real images. Considering the entangled information of partial geometry and texture in StyleGAN-Human and the absence of disentangled datasets, we design a novel training scheme that creates geometry-preserved and appearance-transferred training data to tune a generator to achieve disentangled geometry and appearance control. Although our method is trained with synthetic data, it can also handle hand-drawn sketches.
