Accurately diagnosing Alzheimer's disease is essential for improving elderly ***,accurate prediction of the mini-mental state examination score also can measure cognition impairment and track the progression of Alzheimer's ***,most of the existing methods perform Alzheimer's disease diagnosis and mini-mental state examination score prediction separately and ignore the relation between these two *** address this challenging problem,we propose a novel multi-task learning method,which uses feature interaction to explore the relationship between Alzheimer's disease diagnosis and minimental state examination score *** our proposed method,features from each task branch are firstly decoupled into candidate and non-candidate parts for ***,we propose feature sharing module to obtain shared features from candidate features and return shared features to task branches,which can promote the learning of each *** validate the effectiveness of our proposed method on multiple *** Alzheimer's disease neuroimaging initiative 1 dataset,the accuracy in diagnosis task and the root mean squared error in prediction task of our proposed method is 87.86%and 2.5,*** results show that our proposed method outperforms most state-of-the-art *** proposed method enables accurate Alzheimer's disease diagnosis and mini-mental state examination score ***,it can be used as a reference for the clinical diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease,and can also help doctors and patients track disease progression in a timely manner.

This paper concerns ultimately bounded output-feedback control problems for networked systems with unknown nonlinear dynamics. Sensor-to-observer signal transmission is facilitated over networks that has communication *** transmissions are carried out over an unreliable communication channel. In order to enhance the utilization rate of measurement data, a buffer-aided strategy is novelly employed to store historical measurements when communication networks are inaccessible. Using the neural network technique, a novel observer-based controller is introduced to address effects of signal transmission behaviors and unknown nonlinear *** the application of stochastic analysis and Lyapunov stability, a joint framework is constructed for analyzing resultant system performance under the introduced controller. Subsequently, existence conditions for the desired output-feedback controller are delineated. The required parameters for the observerbased controller are then determined by resolving some specific matrix inequalities. Finally, a simulation example is showcased to confirm method efficacy.

Higher-order properties and extensions for indirect MRAC and APPC of linear systems

Recently, a reference derived some new higher-order output tracking properties for direct model reference adaptive control（MRAC） of linear time-invariant（LTI） systems: limt→∞ e（i）（t） = 0, i = 1,..., n*-1, where n*and e（i）（t） denote the relative degree of the system and the i-th derivative of the output tracking error, respectively. However, a naturally arising question involves whether indirect adaptive control（including indirect MRAC and indirect adaptive pole placement control） of LTI systems still has higher-order tracking properties. Such properties have not been reported in the literature. Therefore, this paper provides an affirmative answer to this question. Such higher-order tracking properties are new discoveries since they hold without any additional design conditions and, in particular, without the persistent excitation condition. Given the higher-order properties, a new adaptive control system is developed with stronger tracking features.（1） It can track a reference signal with any order derivatives being unknown.（2） It has higher-order exponential or practical output tracking properties.（3） Finally, it is different from the usual MRAC system, whose reference signal's derivatives up to the n*order are assumed to be known. Finally, two simulation examples are provided to verify the theoretical results obtained in this paper.

Spatial Coordination of Multiple Nonholonomic Agents With Sensory Connectivity Maintenance

This article aims to propose a general control strategy for coordination of multiple nonholonomic agents in three dimensional space. For real-world applications, since the field sensor equipped on the mobile agents for local information detection and estimation has some limited detecting range, it is necessary to guarantee that the nearby agents must stay within this range of the onboard sensor. This is called sensory connectivity maintenance. A function termed as coordination function with sensory connectivity maintenance (CFSCM) is defined to describe the performances of the coordination as well as the sensory connectivity status between the agents. Then, a general control strategy is designed based on the proposed CFSCM for spatial coordination of multiple nonholonomic agents with sensory connectivity maintenance. Moreover, the applications of the proposed control strategy for formation with omnidirectional sensors and flocking with directional sensors are shown, respectively. Finally, some numerical examples are conducted to validate the theoretical analysis. © 2013 IEEE.

In this paper, we present an enhanced convolutional model for indoor radio map generation, focusing on the integration of a novel ray-marching feature. We describe our machine learning pipeline developed for the ICASSP 2025 Signal Processing Grand Challenge, specifically the First Indoor Pathloss Radio Map Prediction Challenge. Our method incorporates a ray-marching feature that, combined with a UNet architecture enhanced by dilated convolution layers, significantly improves indoor pathloss prediction accuracy. Our approach achieved a 3rd-place ranking in the challenge with a weighted RMSE of 10.33 on the test dataset. © 2025 IEEE.

In this paper, a hollow-core anti-resonant optical fibre containing a semi-elliptical nested tube is proposed, which has the characteristics of single-polarization, large bandwidth, single-mode and low confinement loss. By optimizing the structural design, the polarization extinction ratio (PER) of the fiber reaches 21,0183 at a wavelength of 1.55 μm, and the y-polarized fundamental mode loss is only 0.00086 dB/m. By changing the material and thickness of the semi-ellipsoidal nested tube, a large bandwidth of 280 nm was achieved in the wavelength range of 1.51-1.78 μm, with loss limited to less than 0.001 dB/m within the bandwidth range. The PER and higher-order mode extinction ratio of 4870, 1487, respectively. The loss remains below 0.01 dB/m when the bending radius exceeds 4.5 cm. Therefore, it is expected that this optical fiber can be used in optical devices such as fiber optic sensors, fiber optic lasers and fiber optic gyroscopes. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2025.

BACFuse: Towards Noise-Resistant BAC Detection Based on Multi-Modal Fusion on Smartphone

Drunk-driving is an important factor causing road traffic accidents and deaths, which deserves a lot of research. However, most current methods for detecting drunk-driving depend on customized hardware or require users' active participation, making it impractical to monitor Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) during driving. This paper introduces BACFuse, a device-free, contactless, and non-invasive system utilizing smartphone in driving environments, which achieves relatively high accuracy in drunk-driving monitoring by integrating various voice sensing modalities. BACFuse first captures vocal cord vibration from ultrasonic signals, then records voice commands from audio signals. BACFuse combines the ultrasonic signals with audio signals and effectively detects drunk-driving and BAC. A key enabler lies in our modeling of latent interaction between acoustic and ultrasonic signals to mitigate ambient noise, realizing noise-resistant drunk-driving detection. Additionally, we propose an effective modules within the co-attention method to fuse the multi-modal signals, further enhancing the accuracy of drunk-driving detection. We conduct extensive experiments to evaluate BACFuse's performance on 20 participants in safe laboratory experiments. The results demonstrate that our system achieves BAC measurement with a MAE of 2.13mg/dl, showing promise for future in-car driving management paradigms. © 2014 IEEE.

Energy Harvesting Jammer-Aided Covert Communications in Wireless Multi-Relay IoT Systems

This paper investigates covert communications in a multi-relay Internet of Things (IoT) system with multiple energy harvesting jammers, where a transmitter (Alice) attempts to covertly transmit confidential messages to its destination (Bob) through relay forwarding, while a warden (Willie) detects the existence of Alice's transmission. Specifically, we employ a harvesting-then-jamming protocol with which the jammers first harvest energy from Alice and then send jamming signals to interfere with Willie's detection. We propose a relay and jammer selection strategy, namely quality of service (QoS)-aware selection, and use the random selection strategy as a comparison strategy. Under these two selection strategies, we derive the optimal detection threshold and minimum detection error probability at Willie, respectively. We then model the covert throughput performance and obtain the maximum covert throughput by jointly optimizing covert transmit power and jamming transmit power. Extensive numerical results are provided to illustrate the impacts of system parameters on covert throughput performance. © 2014 IEEE.

This paper presents a software turbo decoder on graphics processing units(GPU).Unlike previous works,the proposed decoding architecture for turbo codes mainly focuses on the Consultative Committee for Space Data Systems(CCSDS)***,the information frame lengths of the CCSDS turbo codes are not suitable for flexible sub-frame parallelism *** mitigate this issue,we propose a padding method that inserts several bits before the information frame *** obtain low-latency performance and high resource utilization,two-level intra-frame parallelisms and an efficient data structure are *** presented Max-Log-Map decoder can be adopted to decode the Long Term Evolution(LTE)turbo codes with only small *** proposed CCSDS turbo decoder at 10 iterations on NVIDIA RTX3070 achieves about 150 Mbps and 50Mbps throughputs for the code rates 1/6 and 1/2,respectively.
