Revising the H_(2)^(16)O line-shape parameters around 1.1μm based on the speed-dependent Nelkin–Ghatak profile and the Hartmann–Tran profile

Accurate spectroscopic data for H_(2)^(16)O in the 1.1μm region are particularly important for the study of Earth's *** pure water vapor molecular spectra were measured based on direct laser absorption spectroscopy using a narrow line-width external cavity diode laser combined with a high-precision Fabry-Pérot etalon.A total of 31 H_(2)^(16)O transitions were studied for the first time by using the speed-dependent Nelkin-Ghatak profile and the Hartmann-Tran *** an accurate line-shape analysis,we obtained the line intensities and the self-broadening coefficients,and they are compared with the available data reported in the HITRAN 2016 database and the HITRAN 2020 ***,we obtained information on the influence of Dicke narrowing,as well as the correlations between Dicke narrowing and speed dependence,and of speed-dependent effects.

Sliding mode control for nonlinear semi-Markov jump systems with cyber attacks via fuzzy logic

This paper studies the security control problem of semi-Markov jump systems. First, the parameter uncertainty, the time-varying delay, the nonlinear function and the cyber attack are considered in the system. Second, the nonlinear function is linearized by the fuzzy logic rule. A sliding mode surface is designed to obtain an equivalent controller and get a sliding mode dynamic system. By constructing Lyapunov functions of the mode dependence, a sufficient condition for H∞ asymptotic stability of the system is obtained. Then, an adaptive sliding mode controller is established, and the original system reaches the sliding mode surface in a finite time. Finally, two examples verify the correctness and practicality of the proposed theory. © 2024-IOS Press. All rights reserved.

In mobile robot navigation, the design of path planning algorithms is a key issue, because the fast and efficient work of mobile robots must rely on reasonable and reliable path planning algorithms. The ant colony method is used to study the path planning of mobile robots in this work. The mathematical model of various ant colony method parameters has been updated and optimized. The direction guiding factor is introduced to avoid the blindness of the traditional ant colony algorithm. An adaptive pheromone updating rule was proposed to improve the disadvantages of the traditional ant colony algorithm, which is easy to fall into premature and outputs local optimum. The adaptive adjustment pheromone volatile factor is adaptively to make the algorithm level more distinct, highlight the task focus of each stage, and consider the quality and efficiency of the path planning. Finally, complex and open environment maps are designed, and simulation experiments are carried out to verify the advance of the improved algorithm in the path planning distance and convergence speed. © 2022 IEEE.

Asymptotics-Aware Multi-View Subspace Clustering

Recently, multi-view subspace clustering has attracted extensive attention due to the rapid increase of multi-view data in many real-world applications. The main goal of this task is to learn a common representation of multiple subspaces from the given multi-view data, and most existing methods usually directly merge multiple groups of features by the single-step integration. However, there may exist large disparities among different views of the data, and thus the conventional single-step practice can hardly obtain a generally consistent feature representation for the multi-view data. To overcome this challenge, we present a novel approach dubbed "Asymptotics-Aware Multi-view Subspace Clustering (A2 MSC)"to pursue a consistent feature representation in a multi-step way, which iteratively conducts the data recovery to gradually reduce the differences between pairwise views. Specifically, we construct an asymptotic learning rule to update the feature representation, and the iteration result converges to a consistent feature vector for characterizing each instance of the original multi-view data. After that, we utilize such a new feature representation to learn a clustering-oriented similarity matrix via minimizing a self-expressive objective, and we also design the corresponding optimization algorithm to solve it with convergence guarantees. Theoretically, we prove that the learned asymptotic representation effectively integrates multiple views, thereby ensuring the effective handling of multi-view data. Empirically, extensive experimental results demonstrate the superiority of our proposed A2 MSC over the state-of-the-art multi-view subspace clustering approaches. © 2025 IEEE.

To overcome the shortcomings of many parameters, slow convergence speed, and poor separation accuracy in applying traditional swarm intelligence algorithm in blind source separation, a Firefly Algorithm integrating Refracted and Elite Opposition-based learning is proposed. The proposed algorithm enhances the global search ability of the original algorithm, improves the population diversity, and accelerates the convergence speed. The simulation results show that in the Blind Source Separation, the similarity coefficients of the separated signals obtained by the proposed algorithm are all above 0.99. © 2022 IEEE.

Due to the long-term relatively fixed state of industrial installations, the diversity of industrial data is low, with high repetitiveness and uneven distribution, which makes industrial few-shot object detection still challenging. Therefore, from the perspective of handling the dataset, this paper proposes a virtual sample generation method based on virtual reality. Firstly, by using a virtual engine, the target workpiece model is created to directly simulate the states of the workpieces captured by the visual system in various environments. Secondly, random algorithms are added and improved to simulate workpieces with different materials and degrees of wear, distributed in random positions with different poses and types in the visual system, thereby generating virtual samples containing workpieces. Finally, virtual samples are introduced for experimental testing in the target detection network. The proposed method is tested in both YOLOv5 and YOLOv7 and compared with datasets without virtual samples, resulting in an improvement of 3.06% and 2.23% in mAP values, respectively. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method effectively improves the issue of industrial small-sample object detection. © 2023 IEEE.

Flow and thermal modeling of liquid metal in expanded microchannel heat sink

Liquid metal-based microchannel heat sinks (MCHSs) suffer from the low heat capacity of coolant, resulting in an excessive temperature rise of coolant and heat sink when dealing with high-power heat dissipation. In this paper, it was found that expanded space at the top of fins could distribute the heat inside microchannels, reducing the temperature rise of coolant and heat sink. The orthogonal experiments revealed that expanding the top space of channels yielded similar temperature reductions to changing the channel width. The flow and thermal modeling of expanded microchannel heat sink (E-MCHS) were analyzed by both using the 3-dimensional (3D) numerical simulation and the 1-dimensional (1D) thermal resistance model. The fin efficiency of E-MCHS was derived to improve the accuracy of the 1D thermal resistance model. The heat conduction of liquid metal in Z direction and the heat convection between the top surface of fins and the liquid metal could reduce the total thermal resistance (Rt). The above process was effective for microchannels with low channel aspect ratio, low mean velocity (Um) or long heat sink length. The maximum thermal resistance reduction in the example of this paper reached 36.0%. The expanded space endowed the heat sink with lower pressure, which might further reduce the pumping power (P). This rule was feasible both when fins were truncated (h_(2) < 0, h_(2) is the height of expanded channel for E-MCHS) and when over plate was raised (h_(2) > 0).

Wide-bandgap(WBG)perovskite solar cells(PSCs)play a fundamental role in perovskite-based tandem solar ***,the efficiency of WBG PSCs is limited by significant open-circuit voltage losses,which are primarily caused by surface *** this study,we present a novel method for modifying surfaces using the multifunctional S-ethylisothiourea hydrobromide(SEBr),which can passivate both Pb^(-1)and FA^(-1)terminated surfaces,Moreover,the SEBr upshifted the Fermi level at the perovskite interface,thereby promoting carrier *** proposed method was effective for both 1.67 and 1.77 eV WBG PSCs,achieving power conversion efficiencies(PCEs)of 22.47%and 19.90%,respectively,with V_(OC)values of 1.28 and 1.33 V,along with improved film and device *** this advancement,we were able to fabricate monolithic all-perovskite tandem solar cells with a champion PCE of 27.10%,This research offers valuable insights for passivating the surface trap states of WBG perovskite through rational multifunctional molecular engineering.

Ultrasonic vibration-assisted technology is employed in orthopaedic surgery to minimise invasive effects in bone milling. This study explored the motion characteristics of ultrasonic vibration-assisted milling (UVAM), its intermittent cutting phenomenon, and tool-bone contact and separation times, via the developed experimental platform. The UVAM and conventional milling (CM) tests were carried out on bovine cortical bones with measurement of respective cutting forces and scanning electron microscope (SEM) observation of crack initiation and propagation in the milled bones. The UVAM application improved the chip-breaking ability of the milling tool and reduced the bone-milling force by 15.90%–25.06% compared to CM. Properly adjusting ultrasonic frequency and amplitude made it possible to reduce the bone cracking effect and enhance the milled bone surface quality. Copyright © 2024 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.
