In the Smart Grid(SG)residential environment,consumers change their power consumption routine according to the price and incentives announced by the utility,which causes the prices to deviate from the initial ***,electricity demand and price forecasting play a significant role and can help in terms of reliability and *** to the massive amount of data,big data analytics for forecasting becomes a hot topic in the SG *** this paper,the changing and non-linearity of consumer consumption pattern complex data is taken as *** minimize the computational cost and complexity of the data,the average of the feature engineering approaches includes:Recursive Feature Eliminator(RFE),Extreme Gradient Boosting(XGboost),Random Forest(RF),and are upgraded to extract the most relevant and significant *** this end,we have proposed the DensetNet-121 network and Support Vector Machine(SVM)ensemble with Aquila Optimizer(AO)to ensure adaptability and handle the complexity of data in the ***,the AO method helps to tune the parameters of DensNet(121 layers)and SVM,which achieves less training loss,computational time,minimized overfitting problems and more training/test *** evaluation metrics and statistical analysis validate the proposed model results are better than the benchmark *** proposed method has achieved a minimal value of the Mean Average Percentage Error(MAPE)rate i.e.,8%by DenseNet-AO and 6%by SVM-AO and the maximum accurateness rate of 92%and 95%,respectively.

Unsupervised Interpolation Recovery Method for Spectrum Anomaly Detection and Localization

With the growing efficiency of the use of unlicensed spectrum,the challenge of ensuring spectrum security has become increasingly *** managers aim to accurately and efficiently detect and recognize anomaly behaviors in the *** this study,we propose a novel framework for spectrum anomaly detection and localization by spectrum interpolation *** interpolation recovery refers to the recovery of the rest of the spectrum distribution based on a part of the spectrum distribution,which is achieved through a masked autoencoder(MAE)model with a core of multi-head self-attention(MHSA)*** spectrum interpolation recovery method restores the region where the masked abnormal signals are present,yielding anomaly-free results,with the difference between the restored and the masked representing the anomaly *** proposed method has been demonstrated to effectively reduce model-induced over-recovery of anomalous signals and dilute large-scale generation errors caused by anomalies,thereby improving the detection and localization performance of anomaly signals,and improving the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve(AUC)and the area under the precision-recall curve(AUPRC)by 0.0382(3.68%)and 0.1992(68.90%),*** a designed dataset containing 3 variables of interference-to-signal ratio(ISR),signal-to-noise ratio(SNR),and anomaly type,the total recall of anomaly detection and localization at a 5%false alarm rate reached 0.8799 and 0.5536,***,a comparative study among different methods demonstrates the effectiveness and rationality of the proposed method.

As the level of circuit integration increases, the physical design becomes more and more complex, iterative static timing analysis(STA) is one of the most time-consuming task to achieve timing closure. After the route stage, fast and accurate timing analysis prediction can effectively reduce the number of static timing analysis in iterations, thereby improving design efficiency and reducing design cycle. In order to quickly predict the timing results after route, we propose a fast timing analysis predictor based on gate recurrent unit (GRU) neural network. This method extracts the features of combinations of cells and nets, assigns attention weights to different combinations, then predicts the hold slacks and setup slacks of each path in multi-corners. The experimental results in the sub-30nm show that the standard deviation of the prediction error ranges 5.41∼16.44ps, and the mean absolute error ranges 6.87∼18.55ps, and the prediction correlation is more than 0.96. Moreover, the speed of timing path prediction is more than 197 times faster than the analysis by STA tools, so that it can effectively and accurately accelerate the process of timing analysis and improve the efficiency of physical design. © 2023 IEEE.

Effective Methods and Performance Analysis on Data Transmission Security with Blind Source Separation in Space-Based AIS

In space-based Automatic Identification systems(AIS), due to high satellite orbits, several Ad Hoc cells within the observation range of the satellite are vulnerable to interference by an external *** increase efficiency in target detection and improve system security, a blind source separation method is adopted for processing the conflicting signals received by satellites. Compared to traditional methods, we formulate the separation problem as a clustering problem. Since our algorithm is affected by the sparseness of source signals, to get satisfactory results, our algorithm assumes that the distance between two arbitrary mixed-signal vectors is less than the doubled sum of variances of distribution of the corresponding mixtures. Signal sparsity is overcome by computing the Short-Time Fourier Transform, and the mixed source signals are separated using the improved PSO clustering. We evaluated the performance and the robustness of the proposed network architecture by several simulations. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method in not only improving satellite signal receiving ability but also in enhancing space-based AIS security.

Semi-supervised learning (SSL) is a successful paradigm that can use unlabelled data to alleviate the labelling cost problem in supervised learning. However, the excellent performance brought by SSL does not transfer well to the task of class imbalance. The reason is that the class bias of pseudo-labelling further misleads the decision boundary. To solve this problem, we propose a new plug-and-play approach to handle the class imbalance problem based on a theoretical extension and analysis of distribution alignment. The method, called Basis Transformation Based Distribution Alignment (BTDA), efficiently aligns class distributions while taking into account inter-class *** implements the basis transformation through a learnable transfer matrix, thereby reducing the performance loss caused by pseudo-labelling biases. Extensive experiments show that our proposed BTDA approach can significantly improve performance in class imbalance tasks in terms of both accuracy and recall metrics when integrated with advanced SSL algorithms. Although the idea of BTDA is not complex, it can show advanced performance on datasets such as CIFAR and SVHN. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

This paper constitutes a brief critical review of the available mathematical models and equivalent circuits of transient voltage suppressor diodes. Furthermore, the implementation of modeling approaches in electromagnetic transient programs is demonstrated through their application for alternating and impulse current stress scenarios. Challenges in modeling the transient voltage suppression diodes are discussed in light of the deviations between simulation results and experimental data for commercially available bidirectional diodes.

In the context of 5G, virtualization has transformed Radio Access Network (RAN) architectures, enabling efficient resource utilization, flexibility and scalability of RAN deployments and operations. Within this paradigm, network slicing has emerged as a pivotal technique, enabling the creation of tailored virtual network instances to meet diverse service requirements. This study performs joint slice request admission control and optimal Virtual Network Functions (VNFs) placement in O-RAN-enabled networks, subject to infrastructure and Quality-of-Service constraints. Contrary to existing schemes, emphasis is placed on two not yet deeply studied directions. The first is about handling future uncertainties on slice requests arrivals for which an iterative Model Predictive Control (MPC)-based approach is proposed that leverages updated traffic forecasts for dynamic adaptation. The second relates to VNFs migration in the O-RAN modules to increase the slice acceptance ratio in an energy efficient way. Through performance evaluations and comparisons, we demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed MPC-based solution compared to other approaches.

Weighted Sum Rate Enhancement by Using Dual-Side IOS-Assisted Full-Duplex for Multi-User MIMO systems

This paper established a novel multi-input multi-output (MIMO) communication network, in the presence of full-duplex (FD) transmitters and receivers with the assistance of dual-side intelligent omni surface (IOS). Compared with the traditional IOS, the dual-side IOS allows signals from both sides to reflect and refract simultaneously, which further exploits the potential of metasurfaces to avoid frequency dependence, and size, weight, and power (SWaP) limitations. By considering both the downlink and uplink transmissions, we aim to maximize the weighted sum rate, subject to the transmit power constraints of the transmitter, the users and the dual-side reflecting and refracting phase shifts constraints. However, the formulated sum rate maximization problem is not convex, hence we exploit the weighted minimum mean square error (WMMSE) approach, and tackle the original problem iteratively by solving two sub-problems. For the beamforming matrices optimization of the downlink and uplink, we resort to the Lagrangian dual method combined with a bisection search to obtain the results. Furthermore, we resort to the quadratically constrained quadratic programming (QCQP) method to optimize the reflecting and refracting phase shifts of both sides of the IOS. Simulation results validate the efficacy of the proposed algorithm and demonstrate the superiority of the dual-side IOS. © 2014 IEEE.
