During the initial stage of vertical launch,a missile may exhibit an uncertain roll angle(φ)and a high angle of attack(α).This study focuses on examining the impact of roll angle variations on the flow field and the unsteady aerodynamics of a canard-configured missile atα=75°.Simulations were performed using the validated k-ωSST turbulence *** analysis encompasses the temporal development of vortices,the oscillatory characteristics of the lateral force,and the fluctuation of kinetic energy distribution within the framework of proper orthogonal decomposition(POD).The results indicate that the flow field surrounding the canardconfigured missile is characterized by inconsistent shedding cycles of Kármán-like and canard-separated vortices.A distinct transition zone is identified between these vortices,where vortex tearing and reconnection phenomena *** increasing roll angles from 0°to 45°,there is an observed shift in the dominant frequency of the lateral force from the higher frequency associated with Kármán-like vortex shedding to the lower frequency of canard vortex *** shedding frequency of Kármán-like vortices corresponds to the harmonics of the canard vortex shedding frequency,indicative of a higher-order harmonic *** frequency of the lateral force is observed to decrease with an increase in roll angle,except in configurations lacking distinct canard-separated vortices,which are characterized by a“+”*** POD analysis reveals that the majority of the fluctuation energy is concentrated in the oscillations and shedding of the canard-separated vortices,leading to pressure fluctuations that are primarily observed on the canard and the downstream region of the canard.

High-pressure waterjet-assisted tunnel boring machine(WTBM)is an efficient method for improving the tunneling performance of a tunnel boring machine(TBM)and reducing the wear of its disc cutters in hard rock with high *** pressure directly affects the efficiency of rock breaking and the configuration of the disc *** this study,we evaluated the effect of confining pressure on WTBM rock breaking by developing a self-designed and manufactured experimental system,including confining pressure loading,TBM disc-cutter penetration,and high-pressure *** macro fracture,acoustic emission(AE),peak normal force drop,and specific energy(SE)were analyzed for four different confining pressures(10,20,30,and 35 MPa).The results showed that the cutting depth of the waterjet increased linearly as the waterjet pressure increased and decreased with the gradual increase in the nozzle moving *** expansion and development of cracks formed rock debris,and the size of the rock fragments decreased with an increase in confining *** the waterjet pressure was 280 MPa,the nozzle moving velocity was 800 mm/min and the kerf space was 75 mm,which indicated that the confining pressure,which was 23.16 MPa,minimized the cutting SE under this ***,regardless of the confining pressure,the maximum normal force of WTBM was less than that of a TBM,whereas the SE of WTBM was less than that of complete TBM cutting mode(CTCM).The average force drop and average drop rate of SE were approximately 25%,and 80%,*** results of this study can inspire the design and mechanism of a TBM assisted by a high-pressure waterjet.

Enhancing autonomous driving through Federated Learning (FL) in Intelligent Connected Vehicles (ICVs) confronts challenges like limited scalability of central management, computational strains on diverse ICVs, and inefficiencies due to stragglers. This paper presents Advance-FL, a deep reinforcement learning based Adaptive asynchronous online Federated Learning with a computation offloading assisted framework for vehicular edge cloud computing networks to mitigate the above challenges. Innovatively, Advance-FL incorporates the concept of “straggler rate”, a metric originally introduced in this study to quantify the degree of lag in participant computation and training, thus enabling targeted mitigation strategies. By employing an asynchronous advantage actor-critic approach for adaptive data offloading and dynamic local iteration adjustments, Advance-FL effectively alleviates computation resource shortages and harmonizes the balance between model accuracy and straggler impact by dynamically managing the straggler rate. Critical findings include over 62% reduction in training times and a 2% ∼ 9% increase in model accuracy across varying non-IID data scenarios and reducing training time by more than 6 times as the number of ICVs increases, compared to prevailing methods. Additionally, experiments in both static and dynamic test-bed further validate Advance-FL's superior scalability and robustness over state-of-the-art approaches, particularly in maintaining high performance under straggler effects, and showcasing robust adaptability across long-term operations, large-scale datasets and abnormal situations IEEE
