Smart technologies with the help of internet add an essence of ubiquity to things as well make the world smaller than ever. Cyber technologies have made the data transfer, exchange and access easier even though being anywhere in the world. With the comfort and ease to the lives in society, advanced and cyber technologies have opened new approaches for the criminals to threaten the society. Darknet among the all other web is non-indexed and encrypted by non-standard protocols that makes it anonymous. An anonymity of darknet has attracted the cyber criminals and has given a swiftness to the cybercrime. To cope up with the raise in the cybercrime, advancement in the cyber security has become a necessity. It is crucial to detect the malicious traffic to avoid cyber traps. This paper gives the review of darknet crime and activities ongoing on darknet and cybercrime activities. A review of cyber security measures and techniques against cyber-crime has been provided in this article. The challenges and trends in the cyber security and intrusion detection have been discussed in this paper. © 2024 IEEE.

This research investigates Blockchain-enabled energy trading within microgrids to enhance sustainable computing infrastructure. A novel algorithm, GridCoin, is proposed and evaluated against existing methodologies including Optimal Power Flow (OPF), Microgrid Energy Management System (MEMS), and Hierarchical Control Algorithms (HCA). The study employs simulation metrics such as Transaction Throughput, Energy Trading Efficiency, and Transaction Latency to compare the performance of these algorithms. GridCoin demonstrates superior capabilities in optimizing energy trading operations, achieving higher transaction throughput, improved efficiency in energy utilization, and reduced transaction latency. These results highlight the potential of Blockchain technology to revolutionize energy markets by providing secure, transparent, and decentralized transaction mechanisms. Future research directions include enhancing optimization techniques, integrating renewable energy sources, addressing scalability and security challenges, conducting real-world deployments, and analyzing economic and policy implications. This study contributes to advancing sustainable computing infrastructure through innovative Blockchain-based solutions. © 2024 IEEE.

Wireless systems are susceptible to security attacks due to their broadcast nature. Physical layer security (PLS) technique, which exploits channel properties to secure wireless systems, is a promising alternative to traditional shared key based cryptographic methods. We deploy artificial noise (AN)-assisted PLS technique to secure messages from an eavesdropper (ES) in an instantaneous interference-constrained underlay relay-aided cognitive radio network (CRN). An amplify-and-forward (AF) relay, which is intercepted by an ES, forwards the message from the secondary source (SS) to secondary destination (SD). The transmit power of the SS and the relay are restricted by interference constraints of the primary network. We develop a PLS-integrated transmission protocol for the secondary network, wherein SD sends out AN simultaneously when SS transmits the message to the relay, to hinder interception. We determine secondary's performance using the intercept probability (IP), which is the probability that the SS-relay-ES channel capacity exceeds the difference between transmission and secrecy rates, and the outage probability (OP), which is the probability that the SS-SD channel capacity is less than a specific transmission rate. We derive expressions for OP and IP under Rayleigh fading conditions and validate our theoretical results through Monte Carlo simulations. Our results also show IP and OP variations with changes in secondary's transmit powers and primary's interference thresholds. We observe that as the interference threshold reduces and RY-SD channel gain reduces, IP increases. We note that IP is lower when SD transmits AN when compared to the scenario when SD does not transmit AN. © 2025 IEEE.

Impact of moving target on underwater positioning by using state measurement

The localization of moving targets in an underwater acoustic wireless sensor network (UAWSN) is inaccurate due to the various underwater forces (viscous, hydrodynamic forces, perturbation of underwater). The false measurements in the sensor network cause position errors and velocity errors which disrupt the localization of the moving target. A randomly fluctuated spillover effect is introduced in the present paper. The absorption losses generated due to the spillover effect cause false measurements of the moving target. Theorem 1 describes the genesis of these absorption losses and their consequences in UAWSN. The measurements from each moving target in the presence of absorption losses are formulated in the elliptical region. A joint probabilistic data association (JPDA) method is proposed to quantify the false measurements in the elliptical region. A moving target state estimation (MTSE) algorithm is proposed to eliminate the false measurements from the moving targets and to measure the localization of moving targets with the help of the propagation speed of targets. The theoretical measurements of position RMSE and velocity RMSE are verified with standard methods. The proposed MTSE method improves the localization performance of the moving targets by 29.42 % and reduces 32.16 % of position errors and 36.23 % of velocity errors up to 550 m. The proposed algorithm will be useful for the sub-aquatic Internet of underwater things (IoUT). © 2023 The Author(s)

Number theory algorithms are extensively required for many digital signal processing (DSP) systems. Over the last few decades, the science community has been discovering the practical applications of number theory. High-speed number manipulation for arithmetic operations is a key component in DSP *** that alternative arithmetic hardware may find a niche. This work consists of designing FIR filter using Residue number system and Logarithmic number system. Also, proposed novel RLNS scheme based on the merging of RNS and LNS. Compared to other number systems, the Residue Logarithmic Number System (RLNS) offers faster operation and more precision. Our prior work explains the creation of the Fixed-width multiplier utilizing the RLNS multiplier as well as the performance evaluation. Because of its distinct area and power compactness qualities, the fixed-width multiplier has been *** the Fixed-width multiplier has its attractive characteristics, it has a limitation of producing truncation error. Additionally, the truncation error was effectively decreased by 89% using the Taylor series expansion for the error approximation, which is significantly less than the orthodox truncated multiplier. The expansion of the earlier work is presented in this paper. The digital FIR filter uses a fixed-width multiplier that is based on RLNS *** the implemented FIR filter can be used for many image or video processing applications. The filter co-efficient has been processed via Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) considered a complicated algorithm for complex numbers. Finally, the comparative analysis of designed filter using RNS, LNS and RLNS has performed. From the investigation, we conclude that the proposed novel RLNS algorithm provides high performance for DSP *** parameter signal-to-noise (SNR) ratio is very significant to measure the value of the precision of the proposed filter. Traffic flow prediction is one of the significant component of Intelligent Transportation System (ITS). However, higher-precision of traffic flow prediction particularly in long-term forecast is challenging because of complex spatial-temporal dependencies in traffic data. Therefore, this research proposes a Spatiotemporal Fusion with Graph Convolution Network (SF-GCN) for traffic flow prediction. The SF-GCN effectively capturing both spatial and temporal dependencies in traffic data thereby leveraging graph structures to represent spatial relationship accurately. Moreover, it integrates temporal dynamics that is significant in traffic prediction through spatiotemporal fusion which enables to understand changes in traffic flow patterns. The SF-GCN delivers accurate and robust traffic flow prediction through leveraging spatial-temporal complexity in traffic networks. The metrics such as Root mean square error (RMSE), Mean Absolute Error (MAE) and Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) are taken to estimate the SF-GCN performance in traffic flow prediction. The SF-GCN attains MAPE of 10.62 %and 8.21 %for PEMS04 and PEMS08 datasets which is better than Weather interaction-aware Spatio-Temporal Attention Network (WST-ANet). © 2024 IEEE.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopment-based disability caused by variations in the brain. This may cause impact on social skills and communication of an individual. Autism is a highly challenging issue to diagnose at the early stages. ASD is one of the important problems to diagnose because it starts manifesting at low ages. This paper aims at ASD classification using MRI Images by Artificial Gannet Optimization enabled Deep Convolutional Neural Network (AGO_DCNN). Here, an MRI image is assumed that be subjected to pre-processing of the image and feature extraction phases as an input. The bilateral filter is employed to remove the noises from the input MRI image and in the pre-processing of an image stage Region of Interest (ROI) extraction is conducted. The pivotal region extraction phase receives a filtered image after which AGO is used to extract the pivotal region. AGO is a newly designed approach by merging two optimizations namely Artificial Ecosystem-based Optimization (AEO) and Gannet Optimization Algorithm (GOA). At the same time, features are extracted from the input image during the feature extraction stage. In a feature extraction stage, some features like texture and statistical features are extracted. At last, the classification of ASD is conducted using DCNN, wherein by AGO the classifier is tuned. Furthermore, AGO_DCNN attained better outcomes in terms of maximal True Positive Rate (TPR), True Negative Rate (TNR), and accuracy values of about 93.7%, 90.8%, 96.8% and False Positive Rate (FPR) and minimal False Negative Rate (FNR) and values of 78.7% and 74.7%. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

In vast university campuses and other large indoor environments, promptly locating individuals poses significant challenges to productivity and communication. Conventional methods, such as relying on maps or asking for directions, often prove inefficient and frustrating, especially in complex indoor settings. This project introduces a Wi-Fi-based indoor positioning system designed to address this persistent issue by leveraging WiFi RSSI signal proximity and app development. By estimating the real-time location of devices and mapping them to the location of access points within the building, the system enhances indoor navigation and streamlines communication channels. The app provides users with an interface to effortlessly locate themselves as well as find individuals, leveraging the stored location data of access points in a database. With a search feature enabling users to locate individuals or rooms, the proposed system offers a cost-effective and innovative solution to the challenge of indoor navigation in large indoor environments. © 2024 IEEE.

Due to the growth of 5G and IoT advancements, there is a unique increase in interest in productive sensors. Sensors are designated as distinct tools for analyzing the physiological and natural parameters of individuals with bosom disease for symptomatic and visualization objectives. Wide band radio frequency sensor-based innovation is currently gaining traction for early stage breast cancer detection. A Conical DRA with a Cylindrical base is suggested as a major sensor component in this research effort, which leads to the building of a clever information acquisition system. Conical DRA reverberates in the 3.3 GHz frequency spectrum with a cylindrical base. It is totally possible to use it as a sensor for detecting early-stage breast diseases due to the high radiation effectiveness and the modest size of the receiving wire. © 2023 IEEE.
