The deterioration of dual-function performance and increased complexity of communication receivers challenge the efficiency of dual-functional radar-communication (DFRC) system based on linear frequency modulation (LFM). This paper designs a delayed jump mapping LFM (DJM-LFM) waveform-based DFRC system. The frequency delay jumps are generated at the specific points in the LFM cycle to modulate data. After carrier mixing and undersampling, the communication receiver realizes dechirp in the digital domain, to reduce the performance requirements of the coherent signal generation and sampling. In the radar processing link, we propose the breakpoint area deletion and concatenation (BADC) scheme, making the radar performance of DFRC consistent with that of unmodulated frequency modulated continuous wave radar (FMCW). The simulation results show that, compared with the scheme without compensation, the BADC scheme reduces the sidelobe amplitude of the range domain profile by about 38 dB. DJM-LFM reduces the symbol error rate of 2 dB compared with existing DFRC schemes based on the LFM waveform. © 2023 IEEE.

In this paper, a frequency division RCC system based on on-off keying (OOK) combined with FMCW is designed for near sensors wake-up or low rate broadcast. We propose a two-stage envelope detection (TSED) scheme by extracting data from the difference frequency component of radar signal and communication signal at the receiving sensors without generating local radio frequency signal or using a mixer. By flexibly regulating the frequency band of two signals, the anti-interference ability of TSED can be further improved. In radar system, we perform small frequency hopping (FH) on RCC waveform without expanding the bandwidth, and propose a scheme of abnormal peak detection and elimination (APDE), to eliminates the chirp interference with fixed or random frequency and suppress range sidelobe. The simulation results show that the signal-to-interference ratio of TSED scheme for the RCC waveform can respectively achieve 6 dB and 2 dB better than conventional envelope detection and coherent demodulation with the bit error rate of 10-5. Besides, The APDE scheme based on small FH reduces the range sidelobe by 20 dB and completely eliminates the added in-band interference. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

This paper proposes a dual-functional radar- communication (DFRC) scheme based on the constrained frequency hopping (C-FH) chirp waveform. For communication function, the FH sequence mapping and up/down chirp are used to embed the data. We give explicit rules for traversal-FH sequence to adjust the number of configurable frequency points for each chip, and optimize the communication symbol error rate (SER) at the receiver. For radar signal processing, after coherent processing and sampling, we proceed time-domain extension and range-bin phase compensation (TE-RBPC) according to the FH value, achieving the same range profile as unmodulated frequency modulated continuous wave without influence from different FH sequences. We analyze the deterioration effects of non-traversal FH sequences, to verify the significance of traversal rule in TE-RBPC for C-FH-chirp waveform. The simulation results show that the proposed CFH-chirp waveform reduces out-of-band power leakage by 10 dB compared with phase shift keying scheme and provides 5 dB improvement of signal noise ratio under the same SER compared with unconstrained FH-chirp scheme. Compared with the scheme without compensation, the main lobe width of range profile in TE-RBPC scheme is reduced to 1/16 and the sidelobe amplitude is reduced by about 39 dB. © 2023, The Authors. A design method of the metamaterial-based output window is analyzed. By the equivalent medium theory (EMT), the equivalent dielectric constant of the medium can be changed by its proportion. Compared with the traditional multi-layer window, the flexibility of this design is significantly improved. The simulated result has achieved a frequency bandwidth of about 7.5 GHz for the $TE_{11}$ mode of the circular waveguide in the Ka-band. The measurement of the circular output window shows a −20 dB bandwidth of about 7 GHz. In addition, the thermal power capacity of this window is analyzed.

This paper investigates the design of the capacity-achieving input distribution for the discrete-time Poisson channel (DTPC) under dark current effects with low-precision analog-to-digital converters (ADCs). An efficient algorithm integrating the Newton-Raphson and Blahut-Arimoto (BA) methods is proposed to jointly optimize the input distribution and amplitude levels under both peak and average power constraints. Additionally, the Karush-Kuhn-Tucker (KKT) conditions are established to provide necessary and sufficient conditions for the optimality of the obtained capacity-achieving distribution. Simulation results illustrate that the proposed algorithm attains 72% and 83% of the theoretical capacity at 5 dB for 1-bit and 2-bit quantized DTPC, respectively. Furthermore, for a DTPC with finite-precision quantization (i.e., log2K bits), the capacity can be achieved by a non-uniform discrete input distribution with support for K mass points, under the given power constraints. © 1967-2012 IEEE.

Since regular expressions (abbrev. regexes) are difficult to understand and compose, automatically generating regexes has been an important research problem. This paper introduces TransRegex, for automatically constructing regexes from both natural language descriptions and examples. To the best of our knowledge, TransRegex is the first to treat the NLP-and-example-based regex synthesis problem as the problem of NLP-based synthesis with regex repair. For this purpose, we present novel algorithms for both NLP-based synthesis and regex repair. We evaluate TransRegex with ten relevant state-of-the-art tools on three publicly available datasets. The evaluation results demonstrate that the accuracy of our TransRegex is 17.4%, 35.8% and 38.9% higher than that of NLP-based approaches on the three datasets, respectively. Furthermore, TransRegex can achieve higher accuracy than the state-of-the-art multi-modal techniques with 10% to 30% higher accuracy on all three datasets. The evaluation results also indicate TransRegex utilizing natural language and examples in a more effective way.

In the process of cloud data storage, data owner will encrypt data and upload it to the cloud, however, this method cannot support for encrypted data sharing. Especially, when data is shared with many users, the scalability is very weak. In order to solve this problem, we put forward a new security cloud storage data encryption scheme based on identity proxy re-encryption in this article. This scheme can flexibility share data with other users security without fully trusted cloud. For the detailed structure, we use a strong unforgeable signature scheme to make the transmuted ciphertext have publicly verification combined identity-based encryption. Furthermore, the transformed ciphertext has chosen-ciphertext security under the standard model. Because this new scheme can support fine-grained access control without using public key certificate and has better extensibility, so this scheme can be better applied into security cloud data sharing. © 2017, IJNS. Analysis of the effectiveness of the truth-spreading strategy for inhibiting rumors

Spreading truths is recognized as a feasible strategy for inhibiting rumors. This paper is devoted to assessing the effectiveness of the truth-spreading strategy. An individual-level rumor-truth spreading model (the generic URTU model) is derived. Under the model, two criteria for the termination of a rumor are presented. These criteria capture the influence of the network structures on the effectiveness of the truth-spreading strategy. Extensive simulations show that, when the rumor or the truth terminates, the dynamics of a simplified URTU model (the linear URTU model) fits well with the actual rumor-truth interplay process. Therefore, the generic URTU model forms a theoretical basis for assessing the effectiveness of the truth-spreading strategy for restraining rumors. Copyright © 2017, The Authors.
