In this paper, a dual-band dual-polarized aperture shared low-profile base station antenna based on the AMC structure is proposed. The proposed antenna introduces backcavity boxes which can reshape the radiation environment of highfrequency (HF) antenna. The designed AMC structure can offset the phase reflection of the low-frequency (LF) antenna, thus realizing low-profile antenna. The proposed antenna can cover both 0.69-0.96GHz and 3.3-3.9GHz, and realize isolation of more than 70 dB in LF and 25 dB in HF band. The proposed antenna mains stable gain above 7.5 dBi in LF and 7.8 dBi in HF respectively, and the profile of the proposed antenna is 0.145 λL. © 2024 IEEE.

The tool is the executing part of the machine tool processing, and its wear state directly affects the production efficiency and product quality. This paper proposes a tool wear state recognition method based on improved ResNet and feature fusion. This method first extracts features from various fields from triaxial vibration signals, temperature signals and power signals, and uses PCA technology to fuse the features. In order to better process the feature fusion data, the convolutional layers and pooling layers in the ResNet architecture are replaced by the fully connected layers, and an improved ResNet model is constructed. Finally, the tool's wear condition is identified with the improved ResNet model. Experiments have shown that the model has a high ability to identify and classify the three different states of tool initial wear, normal wear and severe wear, and can achieve an identification and classification accuracy of 97.5%. © 2024 IEEE.

To solve the problem in urban scene semantic segmentation due to complex conditions and vague boundaries, an FPGA-based mining area semantic segmentation algorithm was designed. The model follows an encoder-decoder framework, with ResNet being the encoder and Semantic FPN being the decoder. To accelerate and deploy the FPGA platform, L1 norm pruning method was used to compress the ResNet model, and Vitis AI tool to quantify and compile the pruned model. The model can achieve a frame rate of 17.6 FPS on the Xilinx Kria KV260 platform with a power consumption of 6.6W, and the energy efficiency ratio is significantly higher than that on the CPU or GPU platform. ©2024 IEEE.

Due to its excellent power levels and efficiency characteristics over medium to short distances and a wide power range, Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) systems have become a primary research focus in the field of wireless energy transmission. The constant current/constant voltage output features of WPT systems are increasingly crucial in applications such as electric vehicles (EVs) and LED lighting. Most compensation networks in WPT systems are high-order resonance circuits. Within high-order resonance networks, various resonance network structures exist to achieve voltage and current outputs independent of the load. Analyzing these resonance network structures is crucial for achieving efficient constant voltage/constant current modes independent of the load. Addressing the charging characteristics of lithium-ion batteries in electric vehicles, which involve constant current followed by constant voltage charging, this paper proposes a control method utilizing the T-LCL/LCC compensation network configuration to achieve constant current and constant voltage outputs at the same frequency in WPT systems. By employing a generic high-order resonance network modeling approach, simultaneous characteristics of voltage and current transfer independent of the load can be obtained. Furthermore, the study analyzes whether the system can operate at low power consumption after the receiver is open-circuited or short-circuited and after the charging process is complete. © 2024 IEEE.

By acquiring the posture information of the rigid body with markers on the gripper frame, the camera motion on the robot flange can be controlled remotely. The essential step of posture alignment in teleoperation is to calibrate the transformation matrix of the robot base coordinate system and the world coordinate system of the optical tracking system. In this paper, a novel Posture Alignment Method Based on the Customized Rigid Body with Markers (PAMC) was proposed, which was an automatic, accurate and quick method to complete the posture alignment for related coordinate systems without non-systematic errors. PAMC was applied to teleoperation for the camera robot based on the customized rigid body with markers and optical tracking system. The comparative experiments prove that PAMC is better than manual method, with more stable, more flexible physical setting for reference coordinate system, and shorter operation time-consuming. Meanwhile, PAMC is more suitable for camera robot teleoperation than the existed automatic method due to arbitrary calibration posture and collision avoidance. © 2024, Politechnica University of Bucharest. In this paper, we discussed in detail the construction of digital twin model applied to sewage treatment plants, to solve the problem of the operating pressure of sewage treatment plants increases year by year with the development of cities. Different from the traditional digital twin system which uses pure Building information Management (BIM) as visual model, this paper designs a multi-modal visual model based on multi-source data such as Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) and drawings. The three sub-models of the model can complete different visualization functions respectively, and each sub-model can be applied to Personal Computer (PC) and Mixed Reality (MR) head-mounted devices in different working scenarios such as central control room inspection and plant inspection. The construction of sub-models can also provide new data types for the data-driven process of digital twins, and further assist the construction of other sub-models. This digital twin system integrates sewage plant data to assist staff in process decision making and shorten staff training cycle. Diabetic Retinopathy (DR) is known as one type of complication of long-term diabetes resulting in severe deterioration of vision, even blindness. Hard exudates (HE) are a type of diabetic macular edema and a prevalent cause of vision impairment for DR patients. Detecting HE is essential for DR diagnosis. Herein, a method for detecting HE with a dual-branch multi-scale approach is proposed. Specifically, the model consists of two branches: the main branch is designed to identify prominent features of the lesions, while the auxiliary branch utilizes a standard encoder and a ResNet50 encoder to identify deep features of the lesions, with two different resolution images serving as their inputs. Considering the variation in sizes and shapes, a multi-scale attention mechanism is integrated into the skip connections of the main branch, enabling the model to segment lesions of different scales. The feature maps finally obtained from both branches are aggregated before reaching the decoder, allowing the capture of contextual information from fundus images. Experiments on the IDRiD, E-Ophtha and DDR datasets show that the Dice of our method reached 74.53%, 68.87% and 59.40%, the IoU reached 59.40%, 52.52% and 42.25%, and the AUC reached 80.58%, 83.88% and 74.79% respectively. ©2024 IEEE.

In this work, we propose an efficient Siamese-based tracker (ESTrack) for aerial visual object tracking using dual global correlation and accurate center localization. The dual correlation module embeds task-specific global similarity information for target classification and state estimation. The center localization highlights the classification score where the target exists, which improves the accuracy of the classification and reduces complex hyperparameter tuning. Extensive experiments on five UAV benchmarks show that our ESTrack-50 performs favorably against many state-of-the-art Siamese- based trackers with a speed of 110 fps. Meanwhile, ESTrack-18 and ESTrack-AO achieve 180 fps with comparable performance to most UAV-based trackers. © 2023 IEEE.

Detectors based on convolutional neural networks (CNN) commonly employ label assignment to distinguish positive and negative samples during training. However, existing label assignment strategies overlook the diverse characteristics of objects in remote sensing images(RSI), such as arbitrary directions, large aspect ratios, and varying scales, which leads to inadequate and low-quality sample issues. To tackle these challenges, we propose a novel distance-sensitive label assignment (DSLA) strategy to effectively select both adequate and high-quality positive samples. Specifically, we design an elliptical region sampling (ERS) strategy to carefully screen candidate positive samples by utilizing elliptical regions, thereby mitigating background interference that hampers the model’s performance. Furthermore, we propose a distance-controlled compensation loss (DC-Loss) to further enhance the effectiveness of ERS by reducing the impact of low-quality samples. Extensive experiments are conducted on two challenging datasets for rotated object detection, namely DIOR-R and HRSC2016, validate the superiority of our proposed method. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.
