Refrigeration in the liquid helium temperature range provides vital technological support for many scientific frontiers and engineering *** considerable magnetocaloric effect(MCE)makes EuTiO_(3)a potential candidate for magnetic refrigeration near liquid helium *** interestingly,the magnetic transition from antiferromagnetism to ferromagnetism offers the possibility to tailor the magnetism and improve the MCE of this magnetic *** this study,the magnetic properties and MCE of EuTi_(0.875)Zr_(0.125)O_(3)were systematically investigated by first-principles calculation and *** substitution of Zr induces a significant lattice expansion and alters the electronic interactions,leading to a dominance of ferromagnetism in the *** low-field MCE performance has been achieved attributed to the enhanced ferromagnetism and low saturation *** the field change of 0-1 T,the maximum magnetic entropy change(−△S_(M)^(max))and adiabatic temperature change(△T_(ad)^(max))are 17.9 J kg^(-1)K^(-1)and 6.1 K,*** is worth noting that the−△S_(M)^(max)of EuTi_(0.875)Zr_(0.125)O_(3)reaches 10.3 J kg^(-1)K^(-1)for a field change of 0-0.5 T,making it one of the best magnetocaloric materials ever reported operating in the liquid helium temperature range.

Graph pattern matching is a technique widely used in various fields such as protein structure analysis, social group querying, and expert localization. This technique involves finding matching subgraphs in large social networks that align with the patterns specified in the pattern graph. In this paper, we focus on a specific sub-problem in social group querying, known as the cooperative team query, which arises from practical applications, where the nodes in the pattern graph and the data graph represent team member entities, while the edges represent their social relationships. We note that the requirements of many teams in the real world are dynamic, necessitating iterative computation for graph pattern matching using traditional methods. To address this challenge in highly dynamic systems, we propose a graph pattern matching method based on core pattern graph matching cache. This approach involves extracting the core pattern graph, and comprising core team members based on the characteristics of cooperative teams. The core graph-based matching cache enables the second half of the algorithm to operate on an order-of-magnitude smaller graph, significantly improving efficiency. Additionally, the multi-threaded approach fully leverages hardware resources, synchronizing multiple matching result of the core pattern graph to reduce matching time. Experimental results on three real social network datasets demonstrate that our proposed algorithm, Core Pattern Graph Matching Cache-based Multi-threaded Exploration (CCMTE), significantly outperforms existing methods in terms of efficiency.

Fine-grained change operations can help software developers fix software bugs more accurately and efficiently. However, the current fine-grained change operations are only used in specific fixing process, such as fixing of If statement. In this paper, we conducted an empirical study to explore the fine-grained change operations for bug fixing. Based on the Mozilla bug data,we examined whether similar bugs are fixed with similar change operations. The results show that: First, for bug reports with similar descriptions or bug-fix commits with similar descriptions, their corresponding fine-grained change operations are not related; Second, in the case where the descriptions of both bug reports and bug-fix commits are similar, the fine-grained change operations in patch code are not related; Third, by classifying bug reports, we find that the change operations in the same bug report category are similar; Finally, by analyzing the fine-grained change operations for each bug, we present some combined patterns that are often used together.

Multi-modal entity alignment (MMEA) aims to identify equivalent entities across different multi-modal knowledge graphs. In these graphs, entities are enriched with information from various modalities, such as text, images, and numerical data, making the alignment task both challenging and crucial for improving knowledge graph quality. Current MMEA algorithms typically encode entity information separately for each modality using corresponding encoders, and then integrate these representations through various modal fusion strategies. However, these methods often fail to fully exploit the multi-modal information of entities. To address this issue, we propose a feature-enhanced multi-modal entity alignment transformer (FEMEAT). FEMEAT enhances entity attribute information by incorporating modal distribution data, which captures the inherent distribution of different modalities for each entity. This inclusion allows the model to have a richer understanding of entity characteristics across modalities. Additionally, FEMEAT utilizes an Optical Character Recognition (OCR) model to extract and incorporate textual information from images. By integrating this text extracted from images, the model can better utilize the visual modality, enhancing its ability to understand and process multi-modal information. Furthermore, FEMEAT employs a multi-head cross-modal attention (MHCA) mechanism for modal fusion to achieve comprehensive multi-modal entity representation. This mechanism enables the model to attend to different modalities simultaneously and learn a detailed representation of entities by considering the interactions between modalities. The multi-head cross-modal attention mechanism facilitates a nuanced understanding and integration of multi-modal data. Experimental results demonstrate that our model achieves state-of-the-art (SOTA) performance across various training scenarios. AME4163: Principles of engineering Design is a design, build and test course offered at the University of Oklahoma, Norman, USA. Throughout the semester students are expected to reflect on authentic and immersive experiences and write Take-aways and Learning Statements. At the end of the semester each student submits a summative Semester Learning Essay. Between 2019-2021 we collected about 10,000 Take-aways and Learning Statements from the Semester Learning Essays of nearly 400 students. In this paper, we attempt to help instructors gain insight of what students have learned through these materials and thence improve the delivery of the course in the future. We analyze their Take-aways from summative Semester Learning Essays by using dictionary-based sentiment analysis to assess students' subjective feelings toward what they have learned. The results prove that we gain insight into their learning thereby providing instructors with evidence-based guidance on modifying the course from different perspectives. The method proposed is generalizable to courses that involve authentic immersive experiences. © 2023 IEEE.

In the fields of computer vision and natural language processing, cross-modal retrieval is of great importance that cannot be ignored. In existing multi-granularity alignment methods, significant progress has been made by globally aligning images and sentences or locally aligning regions and words. However, most of these methods rely on attention mechanisms, which may be affected by noise and cannot balance the differences between modalities, resulting in suboptimal image-text alignment. In addition, training with attention mechanisms consumes a lot of computational resources, and the retrieval process is time-consuming. To address these challenges, we develop a novel multigranularity image-text alignment model, which we call DFVLM. First, we independently train the intra-modal encoder and cross-modal encoder to reduce interference between different modal encoders and better learn intra-modal and inter-modal information. Then, we propose a joint strategy to combine the intra-modal and inter-modal information to better capture the information between image and text. In addition, we introduce a hard negative pair-based method to train the performance of the intra-modal multi-granularity encoder without using attention mechanisms. Unlike existing methods, We treat image and text retrieval as a two-way process and delve into the intrinsic connections between the two matrices. We propose a cross-validation method to optimize the retrieval result based on common image-to-text alignment scenarios in daily life, i.e., during the image-to-text retrieval process, a text-to-image reverse verification is performed on the retrieved corresponding text. Through extensive qualitative experiments and analysis, our approach performs well on both Flickr30K and MSCOCO datasets and also significantly reduces the time required for testing. © 2024 SPIE.

In order to determine whether the electric power workers wear safety equipment such as safety helmet, insulation boots, insulation gloves, insulation clothes, etc., to ensure the safety of the electric power construction site. We propose a electric power operation safety equipment detection algorithm incorporating PSA to improve YOLOv5s algorithm, using polarized self-attention mechanism to improve the feature extraction end of YOLOv5s algorithm, improving the channel resolution and spatial resolution of safety equipment images of electric power operation scenes, and preserving the information of key nodes of small targets that are obscured;GSConv is used to replace the ordinary convolution to reduce the complexity of the model, improve the calculation speed of the algorithm and improve the detection accuracy. The experimental results show that the average accuracy mean (IoU = 0.5) of the proposed algorithm reaches 0.961, which is 1.58% higher than that of the original network detection performance, and the model parameters are reduced from 7.03 to 5.48 millions. It effectively improves the detection speed and accuracy of the algorithm, and can effectively monitor whether the operator wears the safety equipment correctly when there are occlusions and missing safety equipment in the electric power operation scene, which has a excellent application effect. © ICST Institute for Computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications engineering 2024.

Users employ cloud servers to store data and depend on third-party audits to guarantee data integrity. However, this auditing system poses certain risks, as it may have vulnerabilities that attackers can exploit for intrusion. To address these concerns and achieve decentralization, a cloud data integrity verification scheme is proposed. This scheme is based on a verifiable random function and aims to eliminate the need for third-party auditing. Before performing data integrity verification, a blockchain smart contract is employed to calculate bilinear pairs, serving the purpose of verifying the user’s legitimacy. If the user successfully completes this verification, the integrity of the cloud data is then verified using the verifiable random function. The simulation results demonstrate that this scheme is effective in detecting the legitimacy of users and significantly reduces the computational and communication overhead associated with verifying data integrity. © ICST Institute for Computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications engineering 2024.

With the rapid advancement of physical-layer security technology, the covert and secure communication has become crucial in safeguarding wireless communication systems. In this paper, we propose a joint covert and secure transmission scheme for simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (SWIPT) assisted cooperative non-orthogonal multiple access (CNOMA) systems. In the CNOMA system, a greedy relay transmits the confidential information to the far user (Carol), with the assistance of the near user (Bob). Meanwhile, as a SWIPT node, Bob is self-sustained by harvesting energy from relay. What's more, a warden (Alice) and non-colluding eavesdroppers (Eves) always attempt to detect and capture the confidential information, respectively. To counteract the attacks from Alice and Eves, a jamming-assisted scheme is employed. For the proposed system model, we derive closed-form expressions for the detection error probability (DEP) and the average minimum detection error probability (AMDEP) of Alice. Additionally, closed-form expressions for the outage probability (OP) of users and the intercept probability (IP) of Eves are obtained. Furthermore, to maximize the effective covert rate (ECR) of Carol, an optimization problem is formulated, subject to covertness and security constraints. Numerical results are provided to demonstrate the impact of the system parameters on covert and secure performance, with the results showing perfect agreement with the theoretical analysis. © 2014 IEEE.
