With the help of network densification,network coverage as well as the throughput can be improved via ultra-dense networks(UDNs).In tandem,Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV)communications have recently garnered much attention because of their high agility as well as widespread *** this paper,a cognitive UAV is proposed for wireless nodes power pertaining to the IoT ground ***,the UAV is included in the IoT system as the source of power for the wireless nodes as well as for resource *** quality of service(QoS)related to the cognitive node was considered as a utility function based on pricing scheme that was modelled as a non-cooperative game theory in order to maximise users’net utility ***,an energy efficiency non-cooperative game theory power allocation with pricing scheme(EE-NGPAP)is proposed to obtain an efficient power control within IoT wireless ***,uniqueness and existence of the Nash equilibrium have been demonstrated mathematically and through *** results show that the proposed energy harvest algorithm demonstrated considerable decrease in transmitted power consumption in terms of average power reduction,which is regarded to be apt with the 5Gnetworks’***,the proposed algorithm requires around 4 iterations only to converge to NE which makes the algorithm more suitable in practical heterogeneous scenarios.

The Internet of Drones (IoD) extends the capabilities of unmanned aerial vehicles, enabling them to participate in a connected network. In IoD infrastructure, drones communicate not only among themselves but also with users and a control center. This interconnected communication framework holds promise for various applications, from collaborative decision-making to real-time data exchange. However, the expansion of communication in IoD also introduces new challenges, particularly in terms of security, privacy and authentication. Unfortunately, the current authentication protocols are inadequate in offering robust security features against various attacks in the IoD environment. To address these security issues and limitations, we proposed a secure protocol for the IoD environment using chaotic maps and hash functions. In addition, we also employed a physically unclonable function in the development of the proposed protocol. We assess the security of the protocol through both informal and formal security analysis. The formal security analysis is conducted through a widely used random or real (RoR) model. The informal analysis shows the rigorous security features against various attacks, such as masquerading, anonymity violation, and physical cloning attacks. Moreover, we compare the performance of the devised protocol with similar existing protocols across important performance parameters, such as communication overhead, computation overhead, and security features. The devised protocol provides a 67.86% and 17.80% reduction in computation and communication overheads, respectively, as compared to related protocols. The analysis demonstrates the proposed protocol's capacity to support secure communication in the IoD environment and satisfy desirable security attributes. © 2014 IEEE.

Flexible electrohydrodynamic(EHD)pumps have been developed and applied in many fields due to no transmission structure,no wear,easy manipulation,and no *** simulation is often used to predict the output performance of flexible EHD ***,this method neglects fluid–solid interaction and energy loss caused by flexible materials,which are both difficult to calculate when the flexible pumps ***,this study proposes a flexible pump output performance prediction using machine learning *** used three different types of machine learning:random forest regression,ridge regression,and neural network to predict the critical parameters(pressure,flow rate,and power)of the flexible EHD ***,angle,gap,overlap,and channel height are selected as five input data of the neural *** addition,we optimized essential parameters in the three ***,we adopt the best predictive model and evaluate the significance of five input parameters to the output performance of the flexible EHD *** the three methods,the MLP model has exceptionally high accuracy in predicting pressure and *** work is beneficial for the design process of fluid sources in flexible soft actuators and soft hydraulic sources in microfluidic chips.

Industrial Control Systems (ICS), particularly programmable logic controllers (PLCs) responsible for managing underlying physical infrastructures, often operate for extended periods without interruption. Thus, it is challenging to patch security vulnerabilities of ICS in a timely manner after disclosure because it often necessitates waiting for a rare downtime window. While live patching has been introduced to avoid downtime and maintenance costs, conventional live patching methods are not viable for closed-source PLCs. Without the source code, it is difficult to understand the system behaviors and determine binary patch equivalence. To address these challenges, we present a Reliable Live Patching framework called RLPatch for applying live patches to third-party binary without source code. We design RLPatch to capture real-time conditions and dynamic behaviors of PLCs, which enables DevOps engineers to identify major non-recoverable fault (MNRF) vulnerabilities and generate hot patches. The core of RLPatch is an update agent that inserts breakpoints over the original MNRF code and then directs execution to the patches. To ensure system reliability, we use the unique constraints of PLCs to integrate the update processes with the scan cycle. We leverage RLPatch to patch 20 real vulnerabilities in three widely used Rockwell PLCs. We evaluate RLPatch in a real-world gas pipeline, demonstrating its reliability and effectiveness in practice. © 2024 Owner/Author.

Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) is a dangerous disease that is known for its characteristics of eroding memory and destroying the brain. The classification of Alzheimer's disease is an important topic that has recently been addressed by many studies using Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL) methods. Most research papers tackling early diagnosis of AD use these methods as a feature extractor for neuroimaging data. In our research paper, the proposed algorithm is to optimize the performance of the prediction of early diagnosis from the multimodal dataset by a multi-step framework that uses a Deep Neural Network (DNN) as an optimization technique to extract features and train these features by Random Forest (RF) classifier. The results of the proposed algorithm showed that using only demographic and clinical data results in a balanced accuracy of 88% and an area under the curve (AUC) of 94.6. Ultimately, combining clinical and neuroimaging features, prediction results improved further to a balanced accuracy of 92% and an AUC of 97%. This study successfully outperformed other studies for both clinical and the combination of clinical and neuroimaging data, proving that multimodal data is efficient in the early diagnosis of AD. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

In this paper, a wideband circularly polarized curl antenna and its triangular array are proposed for millimeter-wave applications. Circularly polarized radiation is achieved by coaxial cable fed radiating curl. A parasitic stub is introduced to adjust the impedance matching and axial ratio bandwidth. Simulated impedance and axial ratio bandwidths of the element are 32.4% and 13.9%, respectively. A 2 × 2 sequential rotation triangular array shows good performances of wide impedance and AR bandwidth of 34.5% with total efficiency higher than 80%. © 2022 IEEE.

The air quality index (AQI) is a metric used to report air quality levels. There has been a substantial rise in the level of air pollution in Indian cities. Multiple methodologies exist for formulating a mathematical equation to ascertain the air quality index. Multiple studies have established a correlation between exposure to air pollution and negative health effects in the general population. The objective of this study is to determine the optimal approach for predicting AQI in order to aid in climate regulation. Nine separate Machine learning (ML) algorithms have been employed in the suggested study to ascertain the AQI. The use of the SMOTE algorithm in the datasets in ML resulted in improved accuracy when comparing the outcomes. Furthermore, all of the implementations have been thoroughly documented using graphs and metrics, which clearly illustrate the differences in outcomes and aid in identifying the specific factors that led to the improvement in accuracy. © 2024 IEEE.
