A Novel Integrated Energy Management Strategy of Energy Storage system for a Pure Electric-Driven Mining Hydraulic Excavator

Using electric motors instead of diesel engines as the driving system for mining excavators can reduce the energy consumption and operating ***,pure electric-driven mining excavators are prone to unexpected power outages in mines because of drastic changes in load power,leading to significant fluctuations in the power demand of the grid,which in turn affects *** solve the above problem,a pure electric-driven mining hydraulic exca-vator based on electric-motor-driven swing platform and hydraulic pumps was used as the research ***-ver,supercapacitors and DC/DC converter,as the energy storage system(ESS)adjust the output power of the grid and recover the braking kinetic energy of the swing ***,a novel integrated energy management strategy for a DC bus voltage predictive controller based on the power feedforward of fuzzy rules is proposed to run mining excavators efficiently and ***,the working modes of the ESS are determined by the DC bus voltage and state of charge(SOC)of the ***,the output power of the supercapacitor and the DC bus voltage were controlled by adjusting the charging and discharging currents of the DC/DC converter using a predic-tive controller and fuzzy *** addition,a digital prototype of the excavator was verified using an original machine *** performance of the different strategies and driven systems were analyzed using digital *** results showed that,compared with traditional excavators with diesel engines,the operational cost of the developed excavators was reduced by 54.02％.Compared to pure electric-driven excavators without an ESS,the peak power of the grid for the developed excavators was reduced by 10％.This study designed an integrated energy management strategy for a pure electric mining excavator that can regulate the power output of the grid and maintain the stability of the bus voltage and SOC of the ESS.

Dual three-phase LLC converter can handle higher power than three-phase LLC converter. However, poor light load efficiency and limited voltage gain restrict its application. This article introduces a reconfigurable dual three-phase LLC resonant converter with phases shedding strategy for high power application. The number of active phases decreases as the charging power diminishes. Additionally, operating the converter in a half-bridge mode allows for achieving ultra-low output voltage. Thus, light load efficiency will be improved, and voltage gain range will be extended. Compared with existing methods, the proposed strategy does not require additional devices. And no significant voltage overshoot during mode switching. A 30kW platform was developed to validate proposed scheme. © 2024 The Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan.

Magnesium alloys with excellent degradability and biocompatibility are promising materials for biomedical implants,saving patients the burden of second ***,their mechanical properties and corrosion resistance are significantly below the requirements for implant *** study aims to improve the mechanical and corrosion resistance properties of Mg-3Zn-0.2Ca alloy by pre-torsion treatment,and find out the optimal shear *** rod-shaped Mg-3Zn-0.2Ca alloy specimens were pre-torsion treated at different torsion *** effect of free-end torsion on Mg-3Zn-0.2Ca alloy was characterized through microstructure analysis,mechanical testing,and corrosion ***-torsion treatment can refine grain and induce twins and dislocations in Mg-3Zn-0.2Ca *** surface hardness increases with the increase in torsion *** yield strength and ultimate strength initially increase and then decrease with increasing torsion angle,while ductility decreases with increasing torsion *** with a shear strain of 30%exhibit the highest tensile strength,reaching 284.78±10.62 MPa,with an elongation of 19.37±1.66%.Furthermore,they show a significant improvement in fatigue lives both before and after *** the stress amplitude is 120 MPa,the fatigue lives for specimens without pre-torsion treatment are 54,275 cycles and 4324 cycles before and after pre-corrosion,while they increased significantly to 92,015 cycles and 5050 cycles with the 30%shear strain,***,the 30%shear strain specimens show a significant reduction in corrosion *** conclusion,pre-torsion treatment can effectively modify the microstructure of Mg-3Zn-0.2Ca alloy,enhancing both mechanical properties and corrosion *** optimal shear strain for this improvement is 30%.This study provides a practical method to enhance the mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of Mg-3Zn-0.2Ca alloy,making it more suitable for biomedical implan

The electrical fault in ship integrated electric propulsion system is the most important fault type that affects the stable operation of the system. When an electrical fault occurs on board, it may interrupt the continuity of the power service, and if the fault is not detected and isolated in time, it will lead to serious damage to the electrical equipment. In this study, fault waveforms of different electrical equipment were analyzed from the perspective of failure mechanism according to the characteristics of each electrical equipment in the ship integrated electric propulsion system, and a hybrid network model of convolutional neural network (CNN) superimposed bidirectional long short-term memory (BiLSTM) network based on deep learning is proposed. This model can effectively capture the classification features of input data at different time scales. Combined with the time series signal of SE attention mechanism, the correlation of feature sequence is highlighted by weight, so as to improve the accuracy of fault diagnosis. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed method, comparison experiments was performed to evaluate the diagnostic performance of the network model. © Beijing Paike Culture Commu. Co., Ltd. 2025.

This paper proposes a novel current-digital co-driven synchronous rectifier (SR) strategy for three phase LLC resonant converter. The current transformer (CT) is installed on the secondary side of power transformer to detected current zero-cross point. The primary driving signal is introduced into the SR strategy to determine action switch. Then, the SR driving signal is generated by an 'AND' operation between the primary driving signal and the CT signals. The proposed SR strategy need less CTs than current drive strategy and require less computational than digital drive strategy, and thus, it has better application potential in SR strategy. A 15 kW output power prototype is established to verify the effectiveness of the proposed strategy at different frequencies and loads. © 2024 The Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan.

Cross-dimensional principal component analysis (CD-PCA). It is based on the semi-tensor product of matrices theory (STP),where a new projection rule is introduced to reduce dimensionality of high-dimensional data in various linear spaces. Compared to principal component analysis (PCA) and its variants, which typically discard some principal components related to small eigenvalues for the purpose of dimensionality reduction, the methodology of CD-PCA can unite all principal components to form new components of lower dimensions. A comparitive anaylsis is conducted to characterize the potential relation of PCA and CD-PCA, which not only reveals the principle of the CD-PCA algorithms but also provides a deep insight on its properties and capabilities, ensuring its suitability for dimensionality reduction and feature extraction. Extensive experiments on classification and clustering verify the effectiveness of our approach. © 2024 IEEE.

Fractal autoencoder with redundancy regularization for unsupervised feature selection

Feature selection is a crucial step in data preprocessing because feature selection reduces the dimensionality of data by eliminating irrelevant and redundant features. Since manual labeling is expensive, unsupervised feature selection has received increasing attention in recent years. However, existing unsupervised feature selection methods tend to prioritize selecting highly correlated features over exploring feature diversity. Thus, a regularized fractal autoencoder(RFAE) method is proposed to select informative features in an unsupervised way. Specifically, the fractal autoencoder network extends autoencoders to construct a correspondence neural network and a selection neural network. The correspondence neural network exploits interfeature correlations and the selection neural network selects the informative features. A redundancy regularization strategy consists of a redundancy elimination regularization term based on the dependency between features and a sparse regularization term based on the group lasso. The redundancy regularization strategy eliminates feature subset redundancy and enhances network generalization ability. Extensive experimental results on six publicly available datasets show that the proposed RFAE outperforms the compared methods regarding clustering accuracy and classification accuracy. Moreover, the proposed RFAE achieves acceptable computation efficiency.

Friction and Wear Mathematical Modeling and Optimization Design of Surface Microstructure Parameters of Unfolding Wheel based on Experiment and Numerical Simulation

Objective: In order to improve the friction-increasing and wear-reducing performance of the unfolding wheel surface, the surface microstructure of the unfolding wheel used in the detection of 8 kinds of steel balls was optimized by parameter matching. Method: Firstly, based on Hertz's theory, the contact area between steel balls of different sizes and the unfolding wheel are analyzed. The wear depth model is established based on Archard adhesive wear model. Secondly, the appropriate microstructure parameters for friction and wear experiments were selected. The finite element analysis software is used to simulate the stress on the surface of the microstructure unfolding wheel and calculate the wear depth. According to the experimental results, the relationship between friction coefficient, wear depth and microstructure parameters is obtained by data fitting, and the objective function of optimization design is established. Finally, based on the genetic algorithm DNSGA-II and Python, the parameters are optimized, and the optimal solution is obtained by using the TOPSIS method. Results: The feasibility of the simulation method is verified by friction and wear experiments, and the correctness of the optimization method is verified. Some existing patents on friction and wear of microstructure surfaces are introduced, and the future development of this field is prospected Conclusion: The research shows that the optimal parameters matching of microstructure for steel ball diameters of Ф16.6688 mm~Ф22.2250 mm: the shape is rhombus;the area of a single pit is close to the contact area, which is 0.0319 mm2 ~ 0.0554 mm2;the pit depth is 145 μm~150 μm, and the surface density of microstructure is (5.4~5.6) /mm2. © 2024 Bentham science Publishers.

The changes in strain gradient induced by grain boundaries are crucial for enhancing the plasticity of gradient magnesium (Mg) alloys. The change of strain distribution influence by grain boundaries during plastic deformation of the gradient structure was examined. In this paper, the gradient structure AZ31 Mg-alloy plate with the surface fine grain (FG) to the center coarse grain (CG) was fabricated using hard plate rolling (HPR). The microstructure and strain distribution of Mg-alloy with a gradient structure were analyzed by electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD) and Digital image correlation (DIC) during uniaxial tensile. The findings indicate that the gradient structure sample (GS sample) displays a uniform strain distribution during the tensile process. Coarse-grain sample (CG sample) have obvious strain concentration, which leads to premature fracture. Based on EBSD characterization, low-angle grain boundaries (LAGBs) accumulates in the CG during plastic deformation. Orientation of CG tends to the (0001) basal. At the same time, the density of geometrically necessary dislocations (GNDs) inside CG has changed, which improves the Heterogeneous deformation induced (HDI) stress of gradient structure. During the uniaxial tensile, LAGBs accumulates in CG and changes the strain distribution of the gradient structure, which induces the accumulation of GNDs, and hence improving the properties of the GS Mg-alloy. These findings unveil the mechanism of strength-plasticity synergism of GS alloys from a new perspective and offer insights into the application of GS in Mg-alloys. © 2024
