A cloud-based collaborative manufacturing resource sharing services

The spring up of cloud computing gives product manufacturing a new solution and chance to realize resource sharing and cooperative work between enterprises for global manufacturing. A collaborative manufacturing resource sharing platform is built based on cloud services, which implements to effectively describe information, resources and knowledge during manufacturing process by abundant semantics. The cloud services are the combination of cloud computing and ontology technique. Cloud computing utilizes virtualization technology to encapsulate collaborative manufacturing resources as services to shield the distribution of collaborative manufacturing. The cloud service integration model is built based on ontology technique. The cloud service integration model implements the uniform representation of heterogeneous information and helps to shield the heterogeneity of manufacturing resources systematically. Finally, a case study of the whole design of a decelerator is presented to validate the feasibility and effectiveness of the approach. © 2012 Asian Network for Scientific Information.

In wireless Ad Hoc network, the lower nodes transmitting interference to achieve the control of network conflict is one of the targets of network topology control. Based on the analysis of Ad Hoc network model and network interference model, this paper proposes the node interference model and the link interference model, and proposes a minimize link interference topology control algorithm with t-spanner. Simulation results show that the algorithm can eliminate the bottleneck link, reduce link interference, thus improving network performance. © 2012 IEEE.

This paper proposed a new Ad Hoc dynamic routing algorithm, which based on ant-colony algorithm in order to reasonably extend the dynamic allocation of network traffic and network lifetime. The Algorithm choose path according transmission latency, path of the energy rate, congestion rate, dynamic rate. The Algorithm update the routing table by dynamic collection of path information after path established. The analyse shows that algorithm increases the network throughput, reduces the average end-to-end packet transmission latency, and extends the network lifetime, achieves an improving performance.

Through web services composition, distributed applications and enterprise business processes can be integrated by individual service components developed independently. In this chapter, we concentrate on the optimization problems of dynamic web service composition, and our goal is to find an optimal composite policy. We introduce a hierarchical reinforcement learning technique, i.e., a continuous-time unified MAXQ algorithm, to solve large-scale web service composition problems in the context of continuous-time semi-Markov decision process (SMDP) model under either average- or discounted-cost criteria. Finally, this proposed algorithm is tested in a simulation, and the experimental results show that it has better optimization performance than the flat Q-learning. © 2012 Springer Science+Business Media B.V.

Bacteriorhodopsin (bR) is a light-sensitive protein which has a proton-pump function, and is found in the cell membrane of Halobacterium salinarum inhabiting the salt lake. Optical excitation of bR at an electrode-electrolyte interface generates differential photocurrents while an incident light is turned on and off. This unique functional response is similar to that seen in retinal neurons. This paper describes the fabrication and evaluation of the dip-coated bR thin films, photocurrent characteristics, and biomimetic artificial retinas with the bR thin films.

This article puts forward a novel idea of power tower inspection depending on model-based behavior planning. It mainly focuses on the problems caused by uncertain security, flight time limitation and stochastic noise affection when inspecting with flying robot. Firstly, we construct a safety space and some target viewing regions based on the model of the power tower. Then a reinforcement learning procedure is adopted to find an optimal policy of guiding the inspection behavior. Experimental results show that the model-based behavior planning improves the efficiency of the inspection significantly even with the wind gusts or stochastic interferences. © 2012 IEEE.

The background of images often obstructs the edge extraction.A new method of edge extraction is proposed in this paper, which combines classic edge extraction algorithms with optimal global threshold and the morphological dilation and restruction. Research on rapid detection method of protein content in milk dilute solution

This paper puts forward a method to detect milk protein contents quickly. In this paper, the transmitted and scattered light are detected first, and we choose the position for detection of the scattered light, and dissolve the protein into small molecules through the fast-dissolving liquid, so we can get the content of fat by establishing a model of the ratio of scattered intensity to transmitted intensity. After detecting the milk dilute solution including both protein and fat, the protein content is obtained by establishing the correlation model. Simulation and experimental results show that the method of associated scattering put forward in this paper is entirely feasible, and the maximum error compared with the calibration values is 2.6%, which is fully compliance with the precision milk protein detection. The method is intuitive and rapid, which is suitable for measurement of milk protein online.
