Among different electromagnetic spectrum monitoring tasks, a fundamental one is detecting the presence of weak communication signal under non-cooperative setting. Various detection methods have been studied in the literature. These detection methods usually construct a proper hypothesis testing metric to distinguish the signal-plus-noise and noise-only signals. Information entropy based metric has recently been studied and shown its superiority over traditional energy based metrics. We find that it can be explained as a realization of the general Kullback-Leibler divergence. Inspired by that, in this paper, we propose to detect the signal using a statistic divergence called β-divergence. Different choices of β will lead to several well known divergences, e.g., Itakura-Saito divergence and Euclidean distance. We study its detection performance for non-cooperative signal sources. Both simulation and real experiments demonstrate that β-divergence can improve detection performance for various modulation types of communication signals.

Secure communication of Active RIS Assisted NOMA Networks

As a revolutionary technology, reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) has been deemed as an indispensable part of the 6th generation communications due to its inherent ability to regulate the wireless channels. However, passive RIS (PRIS) still suffers from some pressing issues, one of which is that the fading of the entire reflection link is proportional to the product of the distances from the base station to the PRIS and from the PRIS to the users, i.e., the productive attenuation. To tackle this problem, active RIS (ARIS) has been proposed to reconfigure the wireless propagation condition and alleviate the productive attenuation. In this paper, we investigate the physical layer security of the ARIS assisted non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) networks with the attendance of external and internal eavesdroppers. To be specific, the closed-form expressions of secrecy outage probability (SOP) and secrecy system throughput are derived by invoking both imperfect successive interference cancellation (ipSIC) and perfect SIC. The secrecy diversity orders of legitimate users are obtained at high signal-to-noise ratios. Numerical results are presented to verify the accuracy of the theoretical expressions and indicate that: i) The SOP of ARIS assisted NOMA networks exceeds that of PRIS-NOMA, ARIS/PRIS-assisted orthogonal multiple access (OMA);ii) Due to the balance between the thermal noise and residual interference, introducing excess reconfigurable elements at ARIS is not helpful to reduce the SOP;and iii) The secrecy throughput performance of ARIS-NOMA networks outperforms that of PRIS-NOMA and ARIS/PRIS-OMA networks. P2P transaction method for distributed energy prosumers based on reputation value

Adding a reputation incentive system to peer-to-peer(P2P)energy transactions can encourage prosumers to regulate their trading behavior,which is important for ensuring the efficiency and reliability of P2P *** study proposed a P2P transaction mechanism and game optimization model for prosumers involved in distributed energy sources considering reputation-value ***,the deviation of P2P transactions and the non-consumption rate of distributed renewable energy in P2P transactions were established as indicators to quantify the influencing factors of the reputation value,and a reputation incentive model of P2P transactions for prosumers was ***,the penalty coefficient was applied to the cost function of the prosumers,and a non-cooperative game model of P2P transactions based on the complete information of multi-prosumers was ***,the Nash equilibrium problem was transformed into a nonlinear optimization problem by constructing the modified optimal reaction function,and the Nash equilibrium solution of the game was obtained via a relaxation ***,the modified IEEE 33-node test system based on electricity market P2P and an IEEE 123-node test system were used to analyze and verify the cost and P2P participation of prosumers considering the reputation *** results show that the addition of the reputation incentive system can encourage prosumers to standardize their interactive transaction behavior and actively participate in P2P *** can also improve the operation efficiency of the power grid and promote the perfection of the P2P transaction mechanism.

S$^{\text{4}}$TP: Social-Suitable and Safety-Sensitive Trajectory Planning for Autonomous Vehicles

In public roads, autonomous vehicles (AVs) face the challenge of frequent interactions with human-driven vehicles (HDVs), which render uncertain driving behavior due to varying social characteristics among humans. To effectively assess the risks prevailing in the vicinity of AVs in social interactive traffic scenarios and achieve safe autonomous driving, this article proposes a social-suitable and safety-sensitive trajectory planning (S $^{\text{4}}$ TP) framework. Specifically, S $^{\text{4}}$ TP integrates the Social-Aware Trajectory Prediction (SATP) and Social-Aware Driving Risk Field (SADRF) modules. SATP utilizes Transformers to effectively encode the driving scene and incorporates an AV's planned trajectory during the prediction decoding process. SADRF assesses the expected surrounding risk degrees during AVs-HDVs interactions, each with different social characteristics, visualized as two-dimensional heat maps centered on the AV. SADRF models the driving intentions of the surrounding HDVs and predicts trajectories based on the representation of vehicular interactions. S $^{\text{4}}$ TP employs an optimization-based approach for motion planning, utilizing the predicted HDVs' trajectories as input. With the integration of SADRF, S $^{\text{4}}$ TP executes real-time online optimization of the planned trajectory of AV within low-risk regions, thus improving the safety and the interpretability of the planned trajectory. We have conducted comprehensive tests of the proposed method using the SMARTS simulator. Experimental results in complex social scenarios, such as unprotected left-turn intersections, merging, cruising, and overtaking, validate the superiority of our proposed S $^{\text{4}}$ TP in terms of safety and rationality. S $^{\text{4}}$ TP achieves a pass rate of 100% across all scenarios, surpassing the current state-of-the-art methods Fanta of 98.25% and Predictive-Decision of 94.75%.

Post-Quantum Privacy-Preserving Provable Data Possession Scheme Based on Smart Contracts

Provable data possession (PDP) is a crucial means of protecting the integrity of data in the domain of cloud storage. In the post-quantum era, the PDP scheme that uses lattices relies too heavily on the third-party auditor (TPA), which is not entirely trustworthy and is easily affected by a single point of failure. Moreover, the scheme often leads to the leakage of private user data while attempting to satisfy the demand for public verification. In response to the above problems, this paper designs a protocol for post-quantum privacy-preserving PDP and uses it to develop a scheme based on smart contracts. The proposed scheme has the characteristics of being post quantum and can satisfy the demand for public verification while preserving user privacy. The property of noninteraction of the protocol can reduce transaction fees incurred owing to the frequent operation of the blockchain, and the smart contract with a deposit mechanism can ensure fair payments to all parties. The results of a theoretical analysis and experiments show that the proposed scheme is highly secure and efficient. © 2023 Zhengwen Li et al.

Exploiting Inter-Sample Affinity for Knowability-Aware Universal Domain Adaptation

Universal domain adaptation (UniDA) aims to transfer the knowledge of common classes from the source domain to the target domain without any prior knowledge on the label set, which requires distinguishing in the target domain the unknown samples from the known ones. Recent methods usually focused on categorizing a target sample into one of the source classes rather than distinguishing known and unknown samples, which ignores the inter-sample affinity between known and unknown samples, and may lead to suboptimal performance. Aiming at this issue, we propose a novel UniDA framework where such inter-sample affinity is exploited. Specifically, we introduce a knowability-based labeling scheme which can be divided into two steps: 1) Knowability-guided detection of known and unknown samples based on the intrinsic structure of the neighborhoods of samples, where we leverage the first singular vectors of the affinity matrix to obtain the knowability of every target sample. 2) Label refinement based on neighborhood consistency to relabel the target samples, where we refine the labels of each target sample based on its neighborhood consistency of predictions. Then, auxiliary losses based on the two steps are used to reduce the inter-sample affinity between the unknown and the known target samples. Finally, experiments on four public datasets demonstrate that our method significantly outperforms existing state-of-the-art methods. Copyright © 2022, The Authors. All rights reserved.
