Reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) constitutes an essential and promising paradigm that relies programmable wireless environment and provides capability for space-intensive communications, due to the use of low-cost massive reflecting elements over the entire surfaces of man-made structures. However, accurate channel estimation is a fundamental technical prerequisite to achieve the huge performance gains from RIS. By leveraging the low rank structure of RIS channels, three practical residual neural networks, named convolutional blind denoising network, convolutional denoising generative adversarial networks and multiple residual dense network, are proposed to obtain accurate channel state information, which can reflect the impact of different methods on the estimation performance. Simulation results reveal the evolution direction of these three methods and reveal their superior performance compared with existing benchmark schemes. Copyright © 2021, The Authors. The large random errors in a typical MEMS gyros under the ranges of relative humidity condition. In order to solve the large random error under the ranges of relative humidity, a method based on adaptive threshold denoising and neural network is proposed in this paper. Full relative humidity experiment is carried to test LSM6DS3 MEMS gyros. Then the adaptive threshold denoising is used to separate the drift error and drift data modeled with RBF neural network. The experimental results show the effectiveness of the method, and it is of great significance in improving the performance of MEMS gyros. © 2018 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

A novel SAR ship target detection method based on two-dimensional singularity power spectrum (2DSPS) analysis is proposed. The 2D-SPS of SAR images explores a variety of coupling features, including the dispersion of singularity exponent and the power distribution in the singularity domain, and has strong ability in feature extraction for SAR images of pure sea surface, false alarm at sea, small targets and multiple targets under the conditions of complex sea surface. The method of SAR target detection based on 2D-SPS are designed. Using the OpenSAR Dataset, in the background of sea clutter, the simulation results show that the proposed method performs better than the traditional method under the condition of extremely low SNR and strong false alarm, especially for small SAR targets and multiple SAR targets.

This paper presents a control strategy for multi-machine parallel permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) grid-connected system, which combines the advantages of virtual synchronous generators (VSG) and direct current transmission to achieve large-scale wind power integration. The grid-connected inverter adopts the VSG control strategy to simulate the port characteristics of the traditional synchronous generator, which can actively provide the inertia support for the system when the power system fluctuates. Based on the power-DC voltage drooping characteristics, a machine-side DC droop control strategy is constructed. This control strategy can significantly reduce the number of inverters and realize the collection and transmission of DC-type power, thereby saving economic costs and reducing the cost. Many problems caused by the internal AC collection process of wind farms. Finally, the performance and effectiveness of the proposed method are validated by the simulation results.

Vertical handoff algorithm for vehicle heterogeneous network based on motion trend prediction

In this paper, a vertical handover algorithm based on motion trend prediction is proposed for the problem that the speed of vehicle in the heterogeneous IoV (Internet of Vehicles) is fast, which leads to the high switching failure rate and "ping-pong effect". In the heterogeneous IoV environment composed of LTE and WiMAX, the duration of the current base station coverage is calculated by predicting the movement trend of the vehicle. According to the time, the vehicle node is divided into narrow mobile node and wide mobile node. For narrow mobile nodes, the network selection method based on load balancing is adopted to decide the handoff. For the mobile nodes, handoff decisions are carried out by using the multiple attribute vertical handoff algorithm based on Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). The simulation results show that the algorithm can reduce the number of handover, improve the switching delay and improve the throughput of the system in two kinds of simulation scenarios with different vehicle quantity and different vehicle speed. © Computer Society of the Republic of China. This paper develops an adaptive filter for fusing the noisy and biased measurement data from MEMS-based inertial measurement units and encoders for estimation of acceleration in robot arms. A discrete-time second-order model is derived for designing an adaptive Kalman filter (AKF). The output of the AKF is an unbiased but noisy estimate of the acceleration. To cancel the noise, a recursive least square filter is designed to filter the output of the designed AKF. It is shown that the resulting filtered signal is unbiased and noise-cancelled. Experimental results demonstrating the effectiveness of the developed adaptive filter are presented. © 2018 IEEE.

Salient object detection with lossless feature reflection and weighted structural loss

Salient object detection (SOD), which aims to identify and locate the most salient pixels or regions in images, has been attracting more and more interest due to its various real-world applications. However, this vision task is quite challenging, especially under complex image scenes. Inspired by the intrinsic reflection of natural images, in this paper we propose a novel feature learning framework for large-scale salient object detection. Specifically, we design a symmetrical fully convolutional network (SFCN) to effectively learn complementary saliency features under the guidance of lossless feature reflection. The location information, together with contextual and semantic information, of salient objects are jointly utilized to supervise the proposed network for more accurate saliency predictions. In addition, to overcome the blurry boundary problem, we propose a new weighted structural loss function to ensure clear object boundaries and spatially consistent saliency. The coarse prediction results are effectively refined by these structural information for performance improvements. Extensive experiments on seven saliency detection datasets demonstrate that our approach achieves consistently superior performance and outperforms the very recent state-of-the-art methods with a large margin. Quantum computation promises applications1-3that are thought to be impossible with classical computation. To realize practical quantum computation, the following three properties will be necessary: universality, scalability, and fault-tolerance. Universality is the ability to execute arbitrary multi-input quantum algorithms. Scalability means that computational resources such as logical qubits can be increased without requiring exponential increase in physical resources. Lastly, fault-tolerance is the ability to perform quantum algorithms in presence of imperfections and noise. A promising approach to scalability was demonstrated with the generation of onemillion-mode 1-dimensional cluster state3, a resource for one-input computation in measurement-based quantum computation (MBQC)5,6. The demonstration was based on time-domain multiplexing (TDM) approach2,4,8using continuous-variable (CV) optical flying qumodes (CV analogue of qubit). Demonstrating universality, however, has been a challenging task for any physical system and approach. Here, we present, for the first time among any physical system, experimental realization of a scalable resource state for universal MBQC: a 2-dimensional cluster state. We also prove the universality and give the methodology for utilizing this state in MBQC. Our state is based on TDM approach that allows unlimited resource generation regardless of the coherence time of the system. As a demonstration of our method, we generate and verify a 2-dimensional cluster state capable of about 5,000 operation steps on 5 inputs. Note that there are no limitation on the number of operation steps, and the number of inputs can be increased by several orders of magnitude with current technology10,11. Furthermore, by increasing the squeezing level, fault-tolerance can also be achieved by combining our method with error correction schemes for CV cluster states12,13. In this work, the result of the initial attempt to propose an Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) digital security and interoperability standard to support the mobility among ASEAN countries is presented. Literature reviews on existing coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) related digital technologies of six ASEAN member countries are conducted. Several concerns related to creating/implementing the ASEAN digital security and interoperability standard are discussed including the technology accessing concern, the data security and privacy concern, and the data interoperability and availability concern. The proposed solution toward creating an ASEAN digital security and interoperability standard is then presented. To evaluate the proposed solution, a survey has been conducted on representatives of nine ASEAN countries on four main issues including the security standards and requirements, the interoperability standard and requirements, the certifications, and the implementation challenges. According to the survey and the discussion, seven recommendations were proposed toward creating an ASEAN digital security and interoperability standard. First, each country collects and maintains the data of its own citizens and also provides a method to authenticate and access the data by authorized requests. Second, QR code standard or ASEAN QR code standard must be agreed upon so that it can be authenticated and verified by ASEAN countries. Third, health risk assessment must be agreed upon to be used. Forth, the security standard, the data, the data format and the exchange protocol must be agreed upon at the ASEAN policy level while adoption of international standards as an implementation guideline will ease of the process and neutralize different requirements from various countries. Fifth, any accountability of incidents must be agreed upon at the ASEAN policy level. Sixth, certification might be extended to certification of risk assessment for organizations, products or

With the increasingly rampancy of network attacks and the steady progress of the national smart grid construction, the security protection of the power industrial control system is facing severe challenges. It is an effective means to improve the overall defense capability of the power industrial control system by formulating the security collaborative defense strategy and dynamically configuring the relevant equipment to make them have linkage response. For this purpose, a method of conflict detection for cooperative defense strategy in power industrial control system is proposed in this paper. Based on the formal description of cooperative defense strategy, the type of policy conflicts is analyzed according to the relationship between policy actions and system states. And the policy execution is simulated for detecting conflict by establishing the temporal relationship between policy actions. The experimental results show that this method can reduce the dependence on the system administrator, and can quickly and accurately find the conflicts in the collaborative defense strategy.
