In practical problems, the dynamic systems are usually nonlinear. In this case, the traditional Kalman filter cannot be used for state estimation or fault detection. The two typical extension based on Kalman filtering framework is the Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) and the Unscented Kalman Filter (UKF). Theoretically speaking, UKF is better than EKF when estimation accuracy is concerned, especially for high degree nonlinear cases. This paper is concerned with the state estimation and fault detection problem for a class of nonlinear dynamic systems. A novel fault detection and analyse method is presented based on the period residual of EKF and UKF. For different kind of faults, mainly, the system parameter error, the sensor/data error, EKF and UKF are used and the estimation and fault detection effects are compared and analyzed.

In this paper, we address the event-triggered state estimation problem for a class of time-varying complex networks subject to multiplicative noises and stochastic coupling under uncertain occurrence probability. The stochastic coupling is modeled by introducing a set of Bernoulli distributed random variables, where the uncertainties of the occurrence probability is characterized. Moreover, the event-triggered mechanism is employed with hope to reduce the network burden and save energy consumption. The aim of the paper is to design the robust state estimator for addressed dynamics networks and derive an optimized upper bound of the estimation error covariance by properly choosing the estimator gain. Finally, simulations and comparisons are provided to verify the validity of the proposed robust state estimation method.

In a multi-cell massive array multiple input multiple output (MIMO) uplink system, the pilot sequences reused in neighboring cells causes pilot contamination and decoding performance to degrade. In this paper, a blind decoding method based on independent component analysis (ICA) is proposed for a multi-cell massive antenna array system. The proposed blind decoding method uses ICA to separate the received signals (from in-cell and neighboring cells) and estimated channels, without using pilot sequence. Thus, pilot contamination is avoided and decoding performance will be optimized. Each user's angle-of-arrival (AOA) is estimated for recognizing the desired user signals and overcoming the uncertainty of signals separated by ICA. The analytical performance results of the blind decoding method are derived. Numerical results show that the proposed scheme has a better performance compared to MMSE decoding and blind decoding method based on singular value decomposition (SVD).

Aiming at effectively identifyingthe different particle sizes of single particlesof the same kind and eliminating the interference of redundant and noise components in the light scatteringsignals, this paper puts forward a single particle size detection method by processing the light scatteringsignalsof particleswith blind source *** shown in the test results, the research object, a single-spherical PTFEpellet(4μm in particle size), contains noise and redundant angular intensity scattering signals. The scattering signals are decomposed into by empirical mode 8 components, which respectively serve as the virtual multi-source signals for blind source *** redundant noises in different channels are removed by the ICA algorithm to produce the noiseless and non-redundant light scattering signals. Such signals bear the information on the type of particles, and provide a reliable signal source for further, accurate measurement of particle size. It is demonstrated in the simulation experiment and the engineering example that the blind source separation method not only applies to identification of signal source, but also reduces the noise, improves the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of the signal, and suppresses the interference in the light scattering signals from redundant and nose components.

This paper investigates numerically the correlation function in the frequency domain due to diffuse scattering originated from rough surfaces. The scattered fields are computed by means of physical optics methods. The irregularities of the rough surface are modeled as a correlated Gaussian process. The correlation of the channel transfer function comprising only diffuse scattering components is analyzed. In the analysis, radio propagation channels comprising orthogonally oriented dipoles at the link ends are considered while assuming different Gaussian roughness profiles. This study offers a useful characterization of the channel behavior in a multipath-rich environment due to diffuse scattering. The presented results are of particular interest to wireless systems based on orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing.

In recent years, the development and standardization of 5G networks have received extensive attention. 3GPP officially confirmed that Service-Based Architecture (SBA) is the unified infrastructure of the 5G core network (5GC). The Service-Based Interface (SBI) is an important part of the SBA for interaction between network function services within the 5GC. The fifth generation mobile network will support a range of use cases and requirements that are completely different from traditional 4G networks, such as providing a high level of authentication mechanisms. This paper is organized as follows: First, we compare the difference between 4G authentication and 5G authentication in three aspects including the 4G architecture, authentication process, and communication protocol stack, then implement the simulation environment, and finally evaluate the performance by comparing the delay.
