In this work, we report the set-up and results of the Liver Tumor Segmentation Benchmark (LiTS), which was organized in conjunction with the IEEE International Symposium on Biomedical Imaging (ISBI) 2017 and the International Conferences on Medical Image Computing and Computer-Assisted Intervention (MICCAI) 2017 and 2018. The image dataset is diverse and contains primary and secondary tumors with varied sizes and appearances with various lesion-to-background levels (hyper-/hypo-dense), created in collaboration with seven hospitals and research institutions. Seventy-five submitted liver and liver tumor segmentation algorithms were trained on a set of 131 computed tomography (CT) volumes and were tested on 70 unseen test images acquired from different patients. We found that not a single algorithm performed best for both liver and liver tumors in the three events. The best liver segmentation algorithm achieved a Dice score of 0.963, whereas, for tumor segmentation, the best algorithms achieved Dices scores of 0.674 (ISBI 2017), 0.702 (MICCAI 2017), and 0.739 (MICCAI 2018). Retrospectively, we performed additional analysis on liver tumor detection and revealed that not all top-performing segmentation algorithms worked well for tumor detection. The best liver tumor detection method achieved a lesion-wise recall of 0.458 (ISBI 2017), 0.515 (MICCAI 2017), and 0.554 (MICCAI 2018), indicating the need for further research. Network music is an important form that people listen to music now, in PC desktop system, browser with HTML5 and the multimedia plugin can imply very good online selection ways and listen to the program with beautify pages, but in the set-top box system, it is extremely different. In this paper, we use a network set-top box with embedded browser system to realize an asynchronous access mode of music website design, the system uses the JSE to achieve music file playback controls, at the same time, the online transcoding system, on the server side for transcoding to improve on the different types of music file playback compatibility, and with an asynchronous access pattern method, time-consuming part is transferred into the background, and the browser Ajax method for interactive prompting. The experimental results show that the system has better interactive performance with respect to the normal music website which is usually synchronized visit ways, and improve the user's listening and viewing experience.

With switching power supply being widely used in Smart Meter, there exists more restrictions on the performance of it. This paper designs a single-ended flyback switching power supply based on LNK364DN chips which is used in intelligent single-phase table, Compares the advantages and disadvantages of the switching power supply and the traditional linear regulated power supply, and introduces the reaction type switching power supply design principle and working process. In order to satisfy the security requirements, this paper also designs the EMI suppression circuit, surge suppression current, clamp circuit, etc. The design process, including the maximum duty cycle including transformer, the primary inductance calculation, etc, of the flyback type switch power supply transformer is introduced in detail. The experimental results show that the switch regulated power supply has small volume, good electromagnetic compatibility, small ripple, low power consumption, high efficiency of AC/DC transform and excellent performance .

Hyperspectral image unmixing algorithm based on endmember-constrained nonnegative matrix factorization

The objective function of classical nonnegative matrix factorization （NMF） is non-convexity, which affects the obtaining of optimal solutions. In this paper, we proposed a NMF algorithm, and this algorithm was based on the constraint of endmember spectral correlation minimization and endmember spectral difference max- imization. The size of endrnember spectral overall- correlation was measured by the correlation function, and correlation function was defined as the sum of the absolute values of every two correlation coefficient between the spectra. In the difference constraint of the endmember spectra, the mutation of matrix trace was slowed down by introducing the natural logarithm function. Combining the image decomposition error with the influences of end- member spectra, in the objective function the projection gradient was used to achieve NMF. The effectiveness of algorithm was verified by the simulated hyperspeetral images and real hyperspectral images.

Chronic care manages long-term, progressive conditions, while acute care addresses short-term conditions. Chronic conditions increasingly strain health systems, which are often unprepared for these demands. This study examines the burden of conditions requiring acute versus chronic care, including sequelae. Conditions and sequelae from the Global Burden of Diseases Study 2019 were classified into acute or chronic care categories. Data were analysed by age, sex, and socio-demographic index, presenting total numbers and contributions to burden metrics such as Disability-Adjusted Life Years (DALYs), Years Lived with Disability (YLD), and Years of Life Lost (YLL). Approximately 68% of DALYs were attributed to chronic care, while 27% were due to acute care. Chronic care needs increased with age, representing 86% of YLDs and 71% of YLLs, and accounting for 93% of YLDs from sequelae. These findings highlight that chronic care needs far exceed acute care needs globally, necessitating health systems to adapt accordingly. © 2025. The Author(s).

In this paper, we address a problem of joint power and sub-band allocation to maximize the energy efficiency at mobile terminals (MTs) for an OFDMA-based uplink data transmission. Due to difficulty of the combinatorial programming problem, we solve the problem by two steps. With the aid of the generalized stable marriage (GSM) method, we firstly obtain the optimal number of sub-bands as well as the corresponding sub-band assignment for each MT based on their required transmission rates and the channel state informations (CSIs). Then, a greedy algorithm is proposed to achieve an optimal power allocation for each MT based on the predecided sub-band assignments. Simulation results demonstrate that the energy efficiency of MTs for an OFDMA-based uplink data transmission can be greatly reduced by the proposed algorithm, especially for the cases with a smaller number of sub-bands.

Background: The sustainable development goals (SDGs) aim to end HIV/AIDS as a public health threat by 2030. Understanding the current state of the HIV epidemic and its change over time is essential to this effort. This study assesses the current sex-specific HIV burden in 204 countries and territories and measures progress in the control of the epidemic. Methods: To estimate age-specific and sex-specific trends in 48 of 204 countries, we extended the Estimation and Projection Package Age-Sex Model to also implement the spectrum paediatric model. We used this model in cases where age and sex specific HIV-seroprevalence surveys and antenatal care-clinic sentinel surveillance data were available. For the remaining 156 of 204 locations, we developed a cohort-incidence bias adjustment to derive incidence as a function of cause-of-death data from vital registration systems. The incidence was input to a custom Spectrum model. To assess progress, we measured the percentage change in incident cases and deaths between 2010 and 2019 (threshold >75% decline), the ratio of incident cases to number of people living with HIV (incidence-to-prevalence ratio threshold <0·03), and the ratio of incident cases to deaths (incidence-to-mortality ratio threshold <1·0). Findings: In 2019, there were 36·8 million (95% uncertainty interval [UI] 35·1–38·9) people living with HIV worldwide. There were 0·84 males (95% UI 0·78–0·91) per female living with HIV in 2019, 0·99 male infections (0·91–1·10) for every female infection, and 1·02 male deaths (0·95–1·10) per female death. Global progress in incident cases and deaths between 2010 and 2019 was driven by sub-Saharan Africa (with a 28·52% decrease in incident cases, 95% UI 19·58–35·43, and a 39·66% decrease in deaths, 36·49–42·36). Elsewhere, the incidence remained stable or increased, whereas deaths generally decreased. This paper proposes a novel Fast Deformable Model for Pedestrian Detection (FDMPD) to detect the pedestrians efficiently and accurately in the crowded environment. Despite of multiple detection methods available, detection becomes difficult due to variety of human postures and perspectives. The proposed study is divided into two parts. First part trains six Adaboost classifiers with Haar-like feature for different body parts (e.g., head, shoulders, and knees) to build the response feature maps. Second part uses these six response feature maps with full-body model to produce spatial deep features. The combined deep features are used as an input to SVM to judge the existence of pedestrian. As per the experiments conducted on the INRIA person dataset, the proposed FDMPD approach shows greater than 44.75 % improvement compared to other state-of-the-art methods in terms of efficiency and robustness.

A realization method of rotating speed measurement based on different M/T

A realization method for rotating speed measurement is put forward in this paper. Timer 1 of STM32F103 is used to count the external pulses and its timer 2 is used to count the internal clock pulses. Two timers are set in master-slaver synchronous mode, and the rotating speed is computed based on different M/T method. This realization method can ensure the two timers strictly synchronously work, and the counting value of the master timer can also be set dynamically according to rotating speed. This method has high measurement accuracy and wide measurement range, and is easy to realize.
